Penmere Manor Hotel near Falmouth, Cornwall, is a house of historical significance and is Grade II listed on the English Heritage Register. It was built in about 1825 by a wealthy sea captain and was the home of numerous notable people over the next 150 years. It is now a hotel which provides accommodation and restaurant facilities and has a leisure club.

The village is situated two miles (3 km) west of Falmouth.According to the 2001 census Budock parish had a population of 1,399. This had increased to 1,537 at the 2011 census. The parish includes the smaller villages of Lamanva and Treverva and encompasses 2,400 acres (9.7 km2) of land. The hamlet of Mongleath is also in the parish. Arable farming in the parish includes early potatoes, broccoli and daffodils.

Originally a mansion built in 1913 for the Carne family of merchants and brewers who developed the screw–cap bottle, in 1958, it became known as the Green Lawns Hotel. It became the Merchants Manor Hotel in 2012.

The school also has plans to sell its playing fields to buy the former Budock Hospital site and turn it into a sports centre for use by the school and local community.Falmouth School offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A-levels, OCR Nationals, NVQs and further BTECs.In 2019, the school received a rating of "Inadequate" in an Ofsted inspection. A subsequent inspection in 2023 changed the rating to "Requires Improvement".

St Mary's Church or St Mary Immaculate Church is a Roman Catholic parish church in Falmouth, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It was built from 1868 to 1869 and designed by Joseph Hansom. The architecture of the church, according to Historic England is a blend of "Gothic and Burgundian Romanesque styles". It is located on the corner of Kimberley Place and Killigrew Street. It was extended by Hansom's son Joseph Stanislaus Hansom in 1881 and it is a Grade II listed building.

A notable building in the area is Swanpool House, a 19th-century building which was occupied by American forces during the Second World War but is now in use as holiday apartments. There was formerly a mine extending beneath the lagoon.

The Seven Stars is a Grade II listed public house in Falmouth, Cornwall. It was built in about 1800 and subsequently extended in 1912 to include an off-licence, which later became a shop. The building was made of rendered stone, though the modern building is made of brick, both parts having a slate roof.
