Butterfield House is a cooperative apartment building on West 12th Street in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, designed by the architects and urban planners William J. Conklin and James Rossant then of Mayer, Whittlesey & Glass. It is situated between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue within the Greenwich Village Historic District. The building was described in The New York Times as "a modernist landmark" that "received numerous accolades when it was built in 1962".Mimi Sheraton referred to it as "one of the Village’s most coveted residences." Architectural critic Paul Goldberger included Butterfield House on his list of the “10 Top Postwar Apartment Buildings” in New York City.The building shares the block of West 12th Street with historic townhouses and when the street received its landmark designation in 1969 it was described as "one of the most distinguished examples of street architecture of the mid-Nineteenth Century."

School of Jazz and Contemporary Music at The New School is the second conservatory of The New School university. It is located on West 13th Street in New York City's Greenwich Village neighborhood. It was known as The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music before it was rebranded as School of Jazz and Contemporary Music and becoming part of College of Performing Arts at The New School in 2016.

The Raymond Fogelman Social Sciences and Humanities Library is the flagship library of The New School university. It is located at 55 West 13th Street, in New York City's Greenwich Village.

The General Winfield Scott House is a historic rowhouse at 24 West 12th Street in the Greenwich Village area of Lower Manhattan in New York City. Built in 1851–52, the house was home to General and unsuccessful Whig Presidential candidate Winfield Scott (1786–1866) from 1853 to 1855. Best known as the leader of the United States Army during the Mexican–American War, Scott had a significant effect on the Army for about half a century. The building was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1973.

Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò, located at 24 West 12th Street in Manhattan, is the home of the Department of Italian Studies at New York University.

The New School is a private research university in New York City. It was founded in 1919 as The New School for Social Research with an original mission dedicated to academic freedom and intellectual inquiry and a home for progressive thinkers. Since then, the school has grown to house five divisions within the university. These include the Parsons School of Design, the Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts, the College of Performing Arts, which includes the Mannes School of Music, The New School for Social Research, and the Schools of Public Engagement. The École Libre des Hautes Études (lit. ‘Free School for Advanced Studies’) was a "university-in-exile" for French academics in New York during the Second World War. It was chartered by the French (the Free French) and Belgian governments-in-exile and located at the New School for Social Research. Its founders included Jean Wahl, Jacques Maritain, and Gustave Cohen, and it was supported by the Rockefeller Foundation.The philosopher Jacques Maritain, anthropologist Claude Lévi-Strauss, historian Elias Bickerman, and linguist Roman Jakobson all taught at the École Libre. According to Louis Menand, in "The Free World (p. 203)" it was started in 1942 through the efforts of Alvin Johnson, co-founder and director of the New School.

59 West 12th Street is a residential building located in the Greenwich Village Historic District in Lower Manhattan, New York City, United States. It was built by the developer brothers Bing & Bing with noted architect Emery Roth whose other work includes The Beresford and The El Dorado. It was granted an occupancy license on August 7, 1931 and houses 101 condominium apartments.

The Schools of Public Engagement at The New School is one of five academic divisions that compose The New School, a private research university located in the Greenwich Village neighborhood in New York City. It includes the Bachelor's Program for Adults and Transfer Students, the Milano School of Policy, Management and Environment, the School of Media Studies, the Julien J. Studley Graduate Programs in International Affairs, and the Creative Writing Program.

College of Performing Arts, is part of The New School, New York City, NY. The New School announced its establishment in fall of 2015 as a major rebranding of certain arts schools the school had. The measure combining the music, jazz and drama schools into a College of Performing Arts.The New School also announced the relocation of most of the performing arts it ran to Arnhold Hall at 55 West 13th St., where the School of Jazz had occupied two floors since 1986.

The Adam and Sophie Gimbel Design Library was the visual arts library of The New School university. Used primarily by students in the Parsons of Design division of the New School, it was located in the Sheila Johnson Design Center, in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City.
