Stanford Field

The Taube Tennis Center is a tennis facility located on the campus of Stanford University near Palo Alto, California. In addition to hosting the Stanford Cardinal's men's and women's tennis teams, the 17-court facility was the home of the Bank of the West Classic between 1997 and 2017, a WTA Tour event. The stadium court, Taube Family Tennis Stadium, has a capacity of 2,445 spectators. The facility has hosted many tennis events, including the 1999 Fed Cup final, which saw the United States defeat Russia; four NCAA Women's Tennis Championships; and the first combined NCAA Women's and Men's Tennis Championships in 2006. Since 2008, Taube has also been host to the annual USGO Gay/Lesbian tournament, held every Memorial Day weekend. See The Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance.

Maples Pavilion is a 7,392-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of Stanford University in Stanford, California. Opened in 1969, Maples underwent a $30 million renovation in March 2004 and reopened ahead of schedule, in time for conference play that December. It was named after its principal donor, Roscoe Maples.

Burnham Pavilion is a multi-purpose arena in Stanford, California. It was built in 1921–22 at a cost of $153,000 by Bakewell and Brown and originally named the "Stanford Pavilion".It was home to the Stanford University Cardinal basketball team prior to Maples Pavilion opening in 1968. When it opened, it was the largest arena used exclusively for basketball. On March 10, 1953, the Pavilion hosted a first round NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament matchup between the University of Santa Clara and Hardin-Simmons University.It was known for many years as the "Old Pavilion" but was renamed Burnham Pavilion in 1989 after Malin Burnham, a principal contributor to a renovation that increased capacity to 1,400. As of 2009 it houses the gymnastics teams, the wrestling team and the men's volleyball team.

The Stanford Graduate School of Business (also known as Stanford GSB or the GSB) is the graduate business school of Stanford University. Located in Stanford, California, for several years it has been the most selective business school in the world, admitting only about 6% of applicants.Stanford GSB offers a general management Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, the MSx Program (MS in Management for mid-career executives) and a PhD program, along with joint degrees with other schools at Stanford including Earth Sciences, Education, Engineering, Law and Medicine. The GSB also offers Stanford LEAD Business Program, an online professional certificate program.

The Laurence Frost Amphitheater, commonly known as Frost Amphitheater, is a prominent amphitheater at Stanford University. It first opened in 1937 and was the site of commencement ceremonies for the university from 1938 until 1984. It can hold about 8,000 people.

Klein Field at Sunken Diamond is a college baseball stadium on the campus of Stanford University in Stanford, California. It is the home field of the Stanford Cardinal of the Pac-12 Conference. The stadium was built 91 years ago in 1931 and has a seating capacity of 4,000. When the adjacent football stadium was originally built in 1921, dirt was excavated from the site of the future baseball stadium, which created a "sunken" field a decade later. Originally just known simply as Sunken Diamond, the field was renamed in 2008 to honor Stanford athlete and donor Bud Klein (1927–2011) and his family.In 2013, the Cardinal ranked 39th among Division I baseball programs in attendance, averaging 1,747 per home game.In 2012, college baseball writer Eric Sorenson ranked the facility as the fourth best setting in Division I baseball.The playing field at Sunken Diamond is oriented in an unorthodox configuration, with the batter and catcher facing south. The recommended orientation of a baseball diamond is east-northeast.

Bedford Sentinels is an art installation consisting of three abstract bronze sculptures by American artist Beverly Pepper, installed at the intersection of Serra and Galvez Streets on the Stanford University campus, in Stanford, California, United States. The sculptures are named after alumni Peter and Kirsten Bedford, who donated the pieces to Stanford.

Bing Concert Hall is a performing arts facility at Stanford University that opened in January 2013. The heart of the building is the oval-shaped concert hall, which has 842 seats arranged in a vineyard style surrounding the stage in terraces. All the seats are within 75 feet of the conductor, and the seats in the center section begin at the stage level. On the north side of the central concert hall is the smaller Bing Studio, which can be configured to accommodate a variety of performance types, e.g., cabaret, club, and theater. The hall is named after Peter and Helen Bing, notable donors to Stanford who donated the lead gift of $50 million towards its construction Eventual construction cost was $111.9 million.Bing Concert Hall was designed by Richard Olcott of Ennead Architects, with the acoustics done by Yasuhisa Toyota of Nagata Acoustics, who also worked on Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, California and New World Symphony in Miami Beach, Florida.

Stanford Stadium is an outdoor athletic stadium in Stanford, California, on the campus of Stanford University. It is the home of the Stanford Cardinal college football team as well as the site of the university's commencement exercises. It opened in 1921 as a football and track and field stadium, an earthen horseshoe with wooden bleacher seating and flooring upon a steel frame. Its original seating capacity was 60,000, which grew to 89,000 by 1927 as a nearly enclosed bowl.Immediately following the 2005 season, the stadium was demolished and rebuilt as a dual-deck concrete structure, without a track. Today, it seats 50,424. The natural grass playing field runs NW-SE, at an approximate elevation of 60 feet (18 m) above sea level.

Memorial Hall (informally referred to as MemAud), was built in 1937 to commemorate those students and faculty from Stanford University who died in World War I. Designed by Arthur Brown, Jr. in conjunction with Bakewell and Weihe, construction of the building was funded primarily through student contributions. Prominent features of the building include a great central arched entry, large arched entries on the sides, covered colonnades on the sides, bare wall surfaces in rectangular segments, and a red tile roof typical of many Stanford buildings. In addition to containing a main auditorium with 1,700 seats (Memorial Auditorium proper), it also houses the drama department; Pigott Theater, a "little" theater with 200 seats; and Prosser Studio Theater, which seats 60. Some modifications to the auditorium's facade were made in 1997 by Sebastian and Associates, including new entry stairs, terrace, and accessibility ramp. Memorial Auditorium, as the largest indoor performance space at Stanford, is the site of performances, major speeches, academic conferences and student activities. Hot Chips, a symposium on hardware chips sponsored by IEEE, is held each summer in MemAud. In terms of student activities, much of New Student Orientation takes place inside the auditorium; Flicks, the Stanford movie service, screens movies in MemAud once every week; and Gaieties, a major part of the Big Game activities, takes place there in the days before the actual game. Major speaker events are commonly held in MemAud because of its size, such as Martin Luther King Jr.'s "The Other America" speech on April 14, 1967, Soviet President Mikhail S. Gorbachev in 1990, and the Dalai Lama's visits in 2005 and 2010.

Toyon Hall is an all-sophomore dormitory at Stanford University. Its Romanesque and Mediterranean Revival Style residence halls originally housed 150 men, but today Toyon is a co-ed dorm housing 158 residents. Each of its three floors is co-ed, and most rooms are two-room doubles. Originally designed in 1923 by San Francisco architectural firm Bakewell and Brown, Toyon Hall was renovated in summer 2000 for seismic reinforcement and modern systems integration by Cody Anderson Wasney Architects Inc. While past residents of Toyon organized their own eating clubs (The Stanford Eating Clubs), the Eating Clubs were closed in 2009. The residents of Toyon now eat in the new Arrillaga Family Dining Commons, located next door to Toyon. Toyon Hall features a spacious lounge area which occasionally hosts campus events such as a capella shows, important speakers, and other social events. Stanford groups with an affiliation to Toyon Hall can request use of the lounge. On 24 November 2000, Toyon was the subject of a Washington Post exposé titled "Pirating of Software Rampant on Campus."

Tanner Fountain is a fountain on the Stanford University campus in Stanford, California, United States. Located between Hoover Tower and Memorial Auditorium, the fountain was installed in 1977, having been donated by Obert Tanner and his wife to commemorate their son. The couple was planning to fund the project since 1972, and installation and landscaping cost less than $250,000.
