Sutton Bonington weather station

University Farm is a 445 hectare (4.45 km2) commercial research farm attached to the Sutton Bonington Campus of the University of Nottingham, England. It lies across the parishes of Sutton Bonington and Kingston on Soar. There are two further blocks of land in Clifton on the north bank of the River Trent and at Bunny Park in the village of Bunny. Both these block are several miles from the main campus.

Kingston Hall is a country house in Kingston on Soar, Nottinghamshire.It was built between 1842 and 1846 to designs by the architect Edward Blore for Edward Strutt, 1st Baron Belper. It was made a Grade II listed building in 1987.The grounds of Kingston Hall contains a Grade II listed Pavilion and a Grade II listed stable block. In 1916 it was the birthplace of Lavinia Mary Strutt, (later Lavinia Fitzalan-Howard, Duchess of Norfolk), daughter of Algernon Strutt, 3rd Baron Belper and his wife, Eva Strutt. It was subdivided into separate apartments in 1977.

The church is a 12th-century Grade II* Listed building.It is located off the Main Street, at the top end of St Anne's Lane, and near to the Midland Main Line which was constructed past the village in 1840. Sutton Bonington's village hall and library is situated on the lane opposite.

Sutton Bonington () is a village and civil parish lying along the valley of the River Soar in the Borough of Rushcliffe, south-west Nottinghamshire, England. The University of Nottingham has a 420 hectares (4.2 km2) site just to the north of the village: Sutton Bonington Campus. The parish covers some 2,183 acres (8.83 km2) and includes the hamlet of Zouch. The population at the 2011 census was 2,202, rising to 2,338 at the 2021 census. The River Soar is the county boundary with Leicestershire and approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) to the north-west, in Leicestershire, is the large village of Kegworth. The nearest town is Loughborough, some 5 miles (8.0 km) by road to the south, and the nearest village is Normanton on Soar.

Kingston Brook is a small river in central England. It arises near Old Dalby, Leicestershire on the northern edge of the ridge running from Normanton-on-Soar, Nottinghamshire to Belvoir, Leicestershire. It runs through Willoughby on the Wolds, to the south of Wysall (where it picks up a number of minor tributaries), Costock, East Leake (where it is joined by Sheepwash Brook), West Leake and meets the River Soar near Kingston-on-Soar.

Ratcliffe-on-Soar is a village and civil parish in Nottinghamshire on the River Soar. It is part of the Rushcliffe district, and is the site of Ratcliffe-on-Soar Power Station. Nearby places are Kingston on Soar, Kegworth and Trentlock. With a population of around 100, measured at 141 in the 2011 Census, the parish is too small to have a parish council and so has a parish meeting. Although the village does not contain any shops, it has a church and a marina which is often affected by severe flooding as it built on designated floodplain, just before the Soar joins the River Trent at Trentlock.
