Vallès Occidental (Catalan pronunciation: [bəˈʎɛz uksiðənˈtal]) is a comarca (county) in Catalonia, Spain. Sabadell and Terrassa are the comarcal capitals. Along with Vallès Oriental it forms the grand comarca of Vallès.

The School of Engineering of Terrassa (Catalan: Escola d'Enginyeria de Terrassa, EET), is one of the schools of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), a public university located in Spain. The school itself is located in Terrassa (province of Barcelona). It offers 8 degree programs and currently there are 1.500 students enrolled. EET is located in the Terrassa Campus of the UPC.

The Textile Museum and Documentation Centre (Catalan: Centre de Documentació i Museu Tèxtil) is a museum institution located in Terrassa, a city with an important textile tradition. Managed by a consortium consisting of Terrassa Town Council and Diputació de Barcelona (Barcelona Provincial Council), it presents a panoramic view of the different styles and techniques used all over the world in fabric making throughout history. It is part of the Barcelona Provincial Council Local Museum Network. The documentation centre has an extensive library specialising in textile and fashion, a photographic archive and a rich fabric collection. The institution provides companies with different services and, through its training centre and various agreements with universities and educational institutions, it promotes contact and the exchange of knowledge among professionals in the sector. The museum has the IMATEX image bank, through which companies and individuals can access the museum's collection, which basically consists of clothing and fabric samples, especially from the Mediterranean area, from the first centuries of the Early Modern period up to the present day. There are collections from China and India and a small collection of samples from the pre-Columbian Americas. The museum also has a fabric restoration service and a lecture hall.The museum's extensive collection, with over 20,000 representative pieces of textile history from around the world, is presented in different temporary monographic exhibitions, lasting between ten and twelve months in the Modernisme area on the first floor, and two to three years on the second floor.

Monumental church complex of Sant Pere is a Bien de Interés Cultural landmark in Terrassa, Province of Barcelona, Spain. The Romanesque complex of churches includes Sant Pere, Sant Miquel and Santa Maria (San Pedro, San Miguel and Santa María). They are situated at the confluence of Vallparadís and Monner (now Park Vallparadís), the most important artistic area of the city, which is noted for Catalan Romanesque art. It was the site of the former Diocese of Egara, an old Visigoth nucleus, in the 5th-8th centuries.

Vallparadís Park (in Catalan and officially Parc de Vallparadís) is a natural urban space located in the municipality of Terrassa, in the province of Barcelona, Spain. Its construction began in 1991, from several previous approaches during the 19th and 20th centuries, which culminated in the final drafting of the project by Manuel Ribas i Piera. The park was declared an Bien de Interés Cultural by the Government of Spain. From north to south it is about 3.5 km long, and averages about 100 m wide. The first fossil findings in the area date back a million years; samples of Pleistocene flora and fauna have been discovered at the Cal Guardiola site, while the first evidence of human presence dates back to the Iberian period, found at the Egosa settlement. This site would eventually become Egara, now Terrassa.The park has a "Y" shape due to the Vallparadís torrent and the Monner torrent, which converge in the Monumental church complex of Sant Pere de Terrassa, a historical heritage made up of a patrimonial, archaeological and artistic ensemble, a fundamental piece of Romanesque art in Catalonia. It houses the Textile Museum and Documentation Centre, one of the main textile museum institutions, consisting of a library, an image bank and a fabric collection, and the Carthusian castle of Vallparadís, a fortification —also declared a historical heritage site—dating from 1110, the main section of the current Terrassa museum. In addition, the park has several architectural monuments of great importance such as the Casa Baumann, the Pont de Sant Pere or the Pont del Passeig.Inside the park there are different facilities —such as a 180 m long swimming pool or a large-scale train that runs through the center of the park— and events are held annually, such as the Jazz Picnic or the Festival of Colors, which attract thousands of spectators.

Estadi Municipal de la Nova Creu Alta is a multi-use stadium in Sabadell, Catalonia, Spain. It is currently used mostly for football matches and hosts the home matches of CE Sabadell FC. The address of the stadium is Plaça Olímpia s/n, 08206 Sabadell, and the offices of the club are in the stadium. The stadium holds 11,908 people, after the last reform. The stadium was built in 1967. During the 1992 Summer Olympics it hosted six football matches.

Terrassa (Catalan pronunciation: [təˈrasə]) is a city in the east central region of Catalonia, Spain, in the province of Barcelona, comarca of Vallès Occidental, of which it is the co-capital along with Sabadell. The name Terrassa may be a corruption of Late Latin terra ix ipsa, evolved into proto-Aragonese as terra-iš-sa ("that avian/cool place"), potentially conflated with terra-ès-sà "safe/clean place".It is the site of Roman Egara, a former Visigothic bishopric, which became a Latin Catholic titular see. Since 2004, it is again the see of a bishopric. The city is located in the Catalan Prelitoral depression (Depressió Prelitoral), at the feet of the Prelitoral mountain range (Natural reserve of Sant Llorenç del Munt) and the average altitude of the city is 277 meters above sea level. It is 20 and 18 kilometres from Barcelona and Montserrat respectively. Terrassa is the third largest city in Catalonia, after Barcelona and L’Hospitalet.

It belongs to the History Museum and Monument Network of Catalonia and the Barcelona Provincial Council Local Museum Network. The Estadi Olímpic de Terrassa is a stadium in Terrassa, Catalonia, Spain. It is currently used for football matches and is the home stadium of Terrassa FC. The stadium holds 11,500 spectators.The venue hosted the field hockey competitions for the 1992 Summer Olympics. Built in 1955, it was renovated in 1991 for those games. It was also used in a friendly match between the Catalonia national football team and Costa Rica on May 24, 2006, in which Catalonia won 2–0.

Terrassa Cathedral, or the Cathedral Basilica of the Holy Spirit (Catalan: Catedral de Terrassa, Catedral del Sant Esperit, Spanish: Catedral de Terrassa, Catedral del Espíritu Santo) is a Roman Catholic church located at the plaça Vella of Terrassa. It is the seat of the Diocese of Terrassa.

Sant Quirze del Vallès is a town located in the comarca of the Vallès Occidental, province of Barcelona, Catalonia. It is located about 12 miles away from the capital city, Barcelona. Sant Quirze is a residential town populated by approximately 20,000 people with a density of 1.432,27 hab/km², and has grown since the end of the 1990s onwards. It shares borders with Sabadell, Rubí, Terrassa and Sant Cugat, among others, which are important towns within the Barcelona area, since they form Catalonia's most important industrial area and probably also Spain's. Sant Quirze del Vallès is located near the mountain range of the Serra dels Galliners. It has direct access to C58 highway to Barcelona, among others like C58 Manresa and AP7 highway to Girona, Tarragona and Lleida.

Torre Millenium is a skyscraper in Sabadell, Catalonia, Spain. Completed in 2002, has 22 floors and rises 90 metres. Lies near other two skyscrapers: Paddock Bulevard and Les Orenetes de l'Eix.
