Alcobertas

The Lusitanian Basin is a rift basin located on both the mainland and continental shelf off the west-central coast of Portugal. It covers an area measuring 20,000 square kilometres (7,700 sq mi) and extends north-south from Porto to Lisbon. The basin varies between approximately 130 kilometres (81 mi) and 340 kilometres (210 mi) in width and belongs to a family of periatlantic basins such as the Jeanne d'Arc Basin. To the east of the Lusitanian Basin lies the Central Plateau of the Iberian Peninsula. A marginal horst system lies to the west. The Alentejo and Algarve Basins connect to the southern end of the Lusitanian Basin. In the north, it connects to the Porto and Galicia Basins via an undersea ridge.

Benedita is a town and parish in the Portuguese municipality of Alcobaça. It received town status on May 16, 1984. Although a predominantly rural area, the parish of Benedita is heavily industrialised. Its main industries are the shoe making, leather, knife making, stonemasonry industries. Pig farming is also important economically for this parish. The town of Benedita is one of the main commerce centers in the municipality of Alcobaça. Benedita is one of the 13 parishes that comprise Alcobaça municipality. It is located by south county and has a 30 km length. Its history is long, beginning in 800 AD. Later, Monges de Cister, an organisation of Christians that are in Alcobaça, started to search for places to do agriculture and farming. People of Benedita believe that there was a miracle with the Virgin Mary. The Virgin appeared to two sisters when they were getting water from a source, telling them to choose another location for the village church. Every time someone started the construction, the rocks disappeared. This happened so many times that people started to believe that the sisters were right and so the construction was not on the desired location and now these rocks are exposed in one of the schools at the village. The population of the Benedita parish is of 8480 people, as of 2021.

Arrimal is a former civil parish in the municipality of Porto de Mós, Portugal. The population in 2011 was 774, in an area of 18.57 km2. On 28 January 2013 it merged with Mendiga to form Arrimal e Mendiga.

Estádio Municipal de Rio Maior is a multi-use stadium in Rio Maior, Portugal. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of UD Rio Maior. The stadium is able to hold 7 000 people and opened in 2003. It served as the home stadium for Sporting B in their first season, before moving to Alcochete. U.D. Vilafranquense hosted games at the ground in their debut LigaPro season in 2019–20, due to the inadequate facilities at their own ground.

Turquel is a civil parish in the municipality of Alcobaça, Portugal. The population in 2011 was of 4,561 people, in 2021 it was down to 4,439.

Rio Maior (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈʁi.u mɐˈjɔɾ] ) is a municipality in the Santarém District in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 21,192, in an area of 272.76 km².The present mayor is Isaura Morais of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), the first woman to be elected mayor in the municipality. The municipal holiday is November 6.

Arrimal e Mendiga (officially União das Freguesias de Arrimal e Mendiga) is a civil parish in the municipality of Porto de Mós, Portugal. The population in 2021 was 1,575, in an area of 38.58 km2. It was formed on 28 January 2013 by the merging of freguesias Arrimal and Mendiga. It is known for its natural beauty, being the home of the Serras de Aire e Candeeiros Natural Park and two natural lagoons.

Mendiga is a former civil parish in the municipality of Porto de Mós, Portugal. The population in 2011 was 930, in an area of 20.01 km2. It was first mentioned in 1142 but only became a freguesia shortly after 1525. It is home to the multi-sport club ARCD Mendiga. On 28 January 2013 it merged with Arrimal to form Arrimal e Mendiga.
