Ōrākei Basin

Little Rangitoto, officially known as Maungarāhiri / Little Rangitoto, and also as Rangitoto-iti, is a volcano in the Auckland volcanic field in Remuera, New Zealand. The name Maungarāhiri refers to Rāhiri, an ancestor of Ngāpuhi, who journeyed around the North Island (Te Ika-a-Māui). In the 1700s and early 1800s, the volcano was the site of Ngāti Whātua-o-Ōrākei seasonal farms.This scoria cone had a peak 75 metres above sea level (30m higher than the surrounding land) before it was mostly quarried away. The quarry site is now Little Rangitoto Reserve, having been partly filled with refuse in the 1950s. Remnants of the southern slopes of the cone lie south of the reserve and underlie houses in Ventnor Road. A lava flow burst forth from the northwestern base of the cone and flowed north down the valley west of Orakei Basin tuff ring and out into what is now Hobson Bay. Part of this flow can be seen among the mangroves adjacent to the Shore Rd bridge across the creek from St Kentigern School carpark. The toe of the lava flow is buried beneath mud and railway embankment near the Hobson Bay marina.

Baradene College of the Sacred Heart is a Catholic high school for girls aged from 11 to 18 (Year 7–13) located in Remuera, Auckland, New Zealand. It is based on the philosophy of Madeleine Sophie Barat, who founded the Society of the Sacred Heart. Established 1909, Baradene celebrated its 100th year in 2009. The students participate in school events such as House Parades, swimming sports, athletics day and house singing, gaining points for their houses. They also have, at the end of each year, a school mass farewelling the seniors of the school, opening mass (celebrating the new school year) and individual year level liturgies. Ōrākei is a suburb of Auckland city, in the North Island of New Zealand. It is located on a peninsula five kilometres to the east of the city centre, on the shore of the Waitematā Harbour, which lies to the north, and Hobson Bay and Ōrākei Basin, two arms of the Waitematā, which lie to the west and south. To the east is the suburb of Mission Bay. Takaparawhau / Bastion Point is a coastal piece of land in Ōrākei. Between Takaparawhau and Paritai Drive is Ōkahu Bay and Reserve.

Meadowbank is a suburb of Auckland city, situated in the North Island of New Zealand. Meadowbank is governed under the local governance of the Auckland Council. It has one shopping centre: Meadowbank Shopping Centre, on the corner of Gerard Way and St John's Road. Purewa Cemetery, one of central Auckland's largest cemeteries, is situated in Meadowbank and can be accessed from St John's Road.

Corran School was a small independent girls' school catering for students from ages 5 to 18 located in Remuera, Auckland, New Zealand. This school was established in 1947 by Mrs Constance Duthie. It closed at the end of 2009, and Saint Kentigern School for Girls was established at the site of the former school.

Purewa Cemetery is a privately run cemetery located in Auckland, New Zealand, on the southern banks of the Pourewa Creek. Established on part of the grounds of the St John's Theological College in 1889, the Purewa is one of the few privately run cemeteries in Auckland. It occupies a site of 45 ha (110 acres) and contains two chapels and a crematorium. Notable burials at the cemetery include Prime Minister Robert Muldoon and actor Kevin Smith, and figures including Sir Edmund Hillary and broadcaster Paul Holmes have been cremated at the cemetery.

Grammar TEC is a rugby club in Auckland, New Zealand resulting from an amalgamation of several rugby clubs . The clubs involved include Grafton and Cornwall, who united to form Carlton. The creation of Carlton was followed by teams called Teachers and Eastern who formed Teachers Eastern. Another team merger involving Carlton and Grammar Old Boys in 1996 produced the team known as Grammar Carlton. Finally, Grammar Carlton and Teachers Eastern came together and became Grammar TEC in 2013. Grammar TEC, a merger of five clubs, was successful in winning the Gallaher Shield in 2015.

College Rifles Rugby Union Football & Sports Club are a rugby union club based in Auckland, New Zealand. The club was established in 1897 by members of the Volunteer Corps, and today accepts male and female players at senior and junior levels. The club is affiliated with the Auckland Rugby Football Union.In addition to the club's primary sport of rugby union, College Rifles is active in badminton, football 7's, netball, lacrosse, tennis and touch rugby.

Auckland Hebrew Congregation is a Modern Orthodox synagogue in Remuera, a suburb of Auckland. The congregation previously occupied University House (Princes Street Synagogue) from 1885, before relocating to a larger building on Greys Avenue in 1968. The congregation moved again in 2022, having purchased the campus of Saint Kentigern Girls' School in Remuera. The synagogue serves around 500 local families.

The Ōrākei Local Board is one of the 21 local boards of Auckland Council. It is coterminous with the Ōrākei ward. It was chaired in its first two terms by local politician Desley Simpson following the 2010 and 2013 elections. In the 2016 elections, Simpson stood for and won the Orakei ward councillor seat on Auckland Council. Colin Davis took her place as Chair.

Ōrākei Ward is one of thirteen wards of Auckland Council in Auckland, New Zealand. It encompasses the neighbourhoods of Saint Heliers, Glendowie, Kohimarama, Mission Bay, Saint Johns and Meadowbank. It elects one councillor to represent the ward on the council. The councillor has oversight over the Orakei Local Board. The current councillor is Desley Simpson.

Kepa Bush Reserve is an ecological reserve on the Auckland isthmus in New Zealand, south of Mission Bay. It is situated near the smaller St John's Bush and is also known as the Pourewa Valley.
