Fenay Bridge and Lepton railway station served the villages of Lepton and Fenay Bridge, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, from 1867 to 1965 on the Kirkburton Branch.

Waterloo is a suburb of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. It is 2 miles (3.2 km) to the east of Huddersfield Town Centre. It is the part of Dalton named after the former Waterloo public house and consists mostly of housing with a central shopping area made up of independent shops, a large Morrisons Supermarket, and a petrol station located on Penistone Road. Waterloo's population is around 7,000 and it is situated between Dalton and Almondbury. The area is home to a number of businesses, including Forteq UK (the UK operation of a Swiss-owned plastic moulding company), Principle Group (a brand implementation company that makes signage and bank counters), Hyder Living (a bed and sofa manufacturer) and Metal Closures (metal packaging producer). Huddersfield R.U.F.C. played at Waterloo until leaving for a new ground at Lockwood Park in 1997.

Kirkheaton is a village and former civil parish 3 miles (5 km) north-east of Huddersfield, now in the parish of Kirkburton, in the county of West Yorkshire, England, Historically, it is part of the West Riding of Yorkshire. It is in the Dalton ward of the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees. In 1931 the parish had a population of 2,610.

Kirkheaton railway station served the village of Kirkheaton, West Yorkshire, England until closure in 1930. It was located immediately north of the junction of Crossley Lane and School Lane, and was accessed from the latter. The line continued towards Kirkburton on a bridge across School Lane.

Woodsome Hall is a 16th-century country house in the parish of Almondbury, near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. It is now the clubhouse of Woodsome Hall Golf Club and a Grade I listed building.Built in the Elizabethan era as a hall house, Woodsome evolved in stages in the possession of several generations of the local Kaye family. The main hall range is built in two storeys with gabled forward projecting wings and a two storey gabled porch. At the rear of each end are L-shaped extensions forming a courtyard with a fountain.

Kirkwood Hospice is a hospice situated in Dalton, Huddersfield, in West Yorkshire, England. It provides Specialist palliative care for the terminally ill in Kirklees. It was built on the site of the former Mill Hill Isolation Hospital, which closed in 1971 Kirwood hospice provided help and assistance in the formation of the Laura Crane Trust.

Dalton is a district of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire in England, approximately one mile east of the town centre between Moldgreen, Rawthorpe and Kirkheaton. Located in a small valley it is mostly housing, with a small number of engineering firms to the north-west, surrounded by farmland used in the production of milk. Germaine Lindsay, one of the suicide bombers involved in the 7 July 2005 London bombings, had lived in the area following his arrival from Jamaica aged five.

It is 4.25 miles (7 km) to the east of, and 120 metres (390 ft) above, the town centre directly north of Lepton Great Wood. In 1931 the parish had a population of 3323.

Whitley Beaumont was an estate in the county of West Yorkshire, England, near Huddersfield. Whitley Hall (now demolished) was the seat of the Beaumont family. A part of the former estate is now in use as a Scout camp-site.

Highburton is part of the township of Kirkburton, a village in the county of West Yorkshire, England. It is five miles southeast of Huddersfield. It occupies much of the high ground that can be found at the top of the steep inclines of Far Dene and Slant Gate and is a mixture of densely congregated housing estates and open pastoral farmland. According to the 2001 census Highburton had a population of 3,288.
