By day, the signal is non-directional, but at night, KUFO uses a directional antenna to protect other stations on AM 970.

The call letters are a reference to Mary, mother of Jesus's title the Blessed Virgin Mary, under whose patronage the station was placed at its dedication. KATU (channel 2) is a television station in Portland, Oregon, United States, affiliated with ABC. It is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group alongside La Grande–licensed Univision affiliate KUNP (channel 16). Both stations share studios on NE Sandy Boulevard in Portland, while KATU's transmitter is located in the Sylvan-Highlands section of the city. KATU went on the air as the fourth commercial station in Portland in 1962. It was built and signed on by Fisher Broadcasting Company, later Fisher Communications, and originally served as an independent station before joining ABC in 1964. The station expanded its local programming in the early 1970s and became a contender in Portland-area local news ratings. Fisher continued to own KATU until the entire company was sold to Sinclair Broadcast Group in 2013.

KXL-FM (101.1 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station in Portland, Oregon. It is owned by Alpha Media and broadcasts a news/talk radio format. The studios are on SW 5th Avenue in downtown Portland. KXL-FM is the flagship station for the nationally syndicated Lars Larson Show. In addition to news blocks in weekday AM and PM drive time, KXL-FM also carries syndicated shows from Chad Benson, Markley, Van Camp and Robbins, Red Eye Radio, First Light and America in the Morning. KXL-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 100,000 watts, the maximum for most FM stations in the U.S. The transmitter is on Barnes Road, a tower site shared with KATU Channel 2.

The Oregon Irish Famine Memorial is a memorial in Portland, Oregon's Mount Calvary Cemetery, in the United States. The 7-ton, 14-foot sculpture was designed by Brendan McGloin and dedicated in 2008. It features a sandstone cross with an Irish limestone base on a concrete foundation.

Mount Calvary Cemetery in the West Hills of Portland, Oregon, United States is a private cemetery owned and maintained by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon. It is the second-oldest Catholic cemetery in Multnomah County, and was the third cemetery built in the West Hills.

The Oregon Vietnam Veterans Memorial is an 8-acre (0.03 km2) outdoor war memorial dedicated to Oregonians who served in the Vietnam War. It is located in Portland, Oregon's Washington Park at 45.5120°N 122.71857°W / 45.5120; -122.71857. The memorial was dedicated in 1987, inspired in 1982 by visits to the national Vietnam Veterans Memorial by five veterans and the parents of a Marine killed in Vietnam. Landscape architecture firm Walker Macy of Portland designed the memorial, while construction labor and materials were almost entirely volunteer donations.The font used in the memorial was created for the exclusive use of the Memorial. It was designed by Janis Price, and is called Hoyt, in recognition of the Arboretum. The memorial is located in the Hoyt Arboretum, adjacent to the World Forestry Center and the Oregon Zoo. The nearby trail system connects to Forest Park and is close to the International Rose Test Garden and the Portland Japanese Garden. It is accessible by U.S. Route 26 and by Portland's MAX light rail system, which has a station in Washington Park.

The Roy and Leola Gangware House, is a historic house in Multnomah County, Oregon, United States, just outside the Portland municipal boundary. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Ernest Haycox Estate, located in southwest Portland, Oregon, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Georgian-Colonial Revival Style house was designed by Glenn Stanton for author Ernest Haycox and completed in 1940.
