R K Puram Assembly constituency is one of the seventy Delhi assembly constituencies of Delhi in northern India. It is a part of New Delhi (Lok Sabha constituency).

Ramakrishna Puram popularly known as R.K. Puram, is a residential colony in Delhi. Named after the saint Sri Ramakrishna, it houses many high-profile corporate houses.

At this rate the total land value of the 123 acres (0.50 km2) New Moti Bagh town ship, called colony in Delhi, at current market rates, works out to about ₹31,000 crore (US$3.9 billion). "Living in New Moti Bagh", according to senior Government official, is "next best thing to living in a Lutyens bungalow”.

The Bhikaji Cama Place metro station is located on the Pink Line of the Delhi Metro. The station was opened on 6 August 2018. Bhikaji Cama Place Metro Station is situated on the Ring Road. It is named after Bhikaji Cama the Indian freedom fighter, who is credited with creating an early version of the Flag of India based on the Calcutta Flag

Ramjas International School is a co-educational school located at Sector-4, R.K. Puram, New Delhi, India, affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education. Moti Bagh, a residential locality in South Delhi, was developed in 1950s to house Government employees. This locality with lot of trees and parks, is divided into South Moti Bagh and North Moti Bagh. In 2007, construction for New Moti Bagh was started which was completed in 2012. Satya Niketan is located to the south-west of Moti Bagh, and Shanti Niketan and Anand Niketan, two of the rich localities of Delhi are located to the south of Moti Bagh.
