The parish includes the hamlets of Farmbridge End at the south, and Tye Green, conjoined to Good Easter village. The A1060 road is part of the southern boundary of the parish.

Shellow Bowells (or occasionally misspelt as Shellow Bowels) is a village and former civil parish in the Epping Forest District of Essex, England. It is situated 6 miles (10 km) to the west of Chelmsford, between the villages of Willingale on its westerly border and Roxwell on its east. In 1931 the civil parish had a population of 95.Since 1946 the village has been part of the civil parish of Willingale. The village name is believed to be derived from Shellow, meaning a bend in the river, and the Beaulieu family. The village church, dedicated to St Peter and St Paul, is no longer in use as such, having become a private dwelling. Shellow Bowells is mentioned by Bill Bryson in Notes From A Small Island and Paul Theroux's The Kingdom By The Sea. It is referred to as Shallow Bowells in Part Five of Random Harvest by James Hilton.

Cooksmill Green is a hamlet in both the civil parish of Roxwell and Highwood in the Chelmsford District of Essex, England. It is situated approximately 4 miles (6 km) west from the centre of the county town of Chelmsford. The A414 road is less than one mile to the south. Cooksmill Green is partly in the civil parish of Highwood at the south, and Roxwell at the north.

The parish includes the hamlets of Bishop's Green and Stagden Cross. Parsonage Brook, at 450 yards (400 m) north from the village flows northeast to southwest, meeting at the west of the parish the River Can, whose chief source is at the north, 2.5 miles (4.0 km) from the village, near Bishop's Green. High Easter is part of 'The Easters', an area adjacent to The Rodings. The population of the parish at the 2011 Census was 754.

Rolfes Farmhouse in Stagden Cross is a Grade II listed timber framed and plastered farmhouse, formerly a one-story hall, dating to the 14th century. Stagden Cross Farmhouse is a timber framed and plastered Grade II former farmhouse dating to the 16th century; to the south of the farmhouse is the Grade II listed timber framed and black weatherboarded barn also dating to the 16th century.

Boyton Cross is a hamlet in Essex, England. It is approximately half a mile from the village of Roxwell and is situated mainly along the A1060 road which runs from Bishop's Stortford to Chelmsford. There is a pub (The Hare, which was refurbished in 2010). Commercial premises include a variety of farms & privately hired industrial units.

Newney Green Pit is a 0.07-hectare (0.17-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Writtle in Essex. It is a Geological Conservation Review site.This former quarry exposed the Kesgrave (Thames) Gravel, first recognised in Suffolk, dating to the Cromerian interglacial around 500,000 years ago. This preceded the severe Anglian ice age, which is also seen, marking the transition to glacial conditions. The site is described by Natural England as "of prime importance for the correlation between Pleistocene stratigraphic sites in the Thames and East Anglian areas". Ice wedge polygons just below the Anglian layer reveal very cold conditions just before the advance of the ice sheet across East Anglia.The site has now been filled in and is part of a field.

Willingale is a village and civil parish in the Epping Forest district of Essex, England. The civil parish also includes the village of Shellow Bowells and the hamlet of Miller's Green. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 501. Willingale has two churches in one churchyard: one dedicated to St Christopher; the other to St Andrew. The civil parish of Willingale was created on 1 April 1946 from the parishes of Shellow Bowells, Willingale Doe and Willingale Spain. Willingale Doe and Spain were recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Ulinghehala/Willing(h)ehala.Richard Wiseman (1632 - 1712), landowner and member of parliament was born in the village. Clopton Havers (24 February 1657 – April 1702) was an English physician who did pioneering research on the microstructure of bone. He is believed to have been the first person to observe and almost certainly the first to describe what are now called Haversian canals and Sharpey's fibres. Havers married Dorcas Fuller, daughter of Thomas Fuller, the Rector of Willingale, Essex. Havers died in Willingale in 1702 and was buried at Willingale Doe, Essex. His funeral sermon, dedicated to his widow, was preached by Lilly Butler, minister of St Mary Aldermanbury in London, and was later printed in quarto.
