Hutton Mount

St Martin's School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in the Hutton area of Brentwood, Essex, England.It used to be a separate boys and girls school but these were combined in the 1970s to make one co-educational school on the same site. The school is named after Saint Martin who was a Roman soldier who performed a miracle. The school converted to academy status on 1 July 2011.

Shenfield railway station is on the Great Eastern Main Line in the East of England, serving the town of Shenfield, Essex. As well as being a key interchange for medium- and long-distance services on the main line, it is also the western terminus of a branch line to Southend Victoria and one of the two eastern termini of the Elizabeth line. It is 20 miles 16 chains (32.51 km) down the line from Liverpool Street and is situated between Brentwood and either Ingatestone on the main line or Billericay on the branch line. Its three-letter station code is SNF. The station was opened in 1843 and has since expanded from its original three platforms to the current six. It sees trains operated by Greater Anglia to main line destinations including Chelmsford, Witham and Ipswich, as well as branch line stations such as Southminster, Braintree, Harwich Town, Colchester Town and Clacton-on-Sea.

Shenfield High School is a coeducational 11-18 secondary school located in Shenfield, Essex, England. It has over 1200 students on roll, including 300 in the sixth form. It opened in 1962, celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2012. It converted to academy status in February 2012.To coincide with the fiftieth anniversary the school adopted a new badge and uniform. The new badge incorporates golden spurs tilted into the shape. As part of its annual Awards Ceremony, the school now bestows the Golden Spurs Award on a student who has given outstanding community service.

Hutton is an area of Brentwood and former civil parish, now in the unparished area of Brentwood, in south Essex, England. It has good links to Central London (around 20 miles (32 km) to the south west) via Shenfield train station which is just 1 mile (1.6 km) from Hutton. Brentwood town centre lies 3 miles to the west. The area can be split between modest housing estates and the largely affluent Hutton Mount. There are two wards named "Hutton" both in the Borough of Brentwood. In 1931 the parish had a population of 2142.

Brentwood Urban District was a local government district in south Essex, England from 1899 to 1974. The district was created in 1899 from the parish of Brentwood which from 1894 had formed part of Billericay Rural District. In 1934 when Billericay Rural District was abolished, Brentwood Urban District gained the former area of the parishes of Hutton, Ingrave and South Weald. It also gained areas that had formed parts of other parishes from that district and from Romford Rural District. The district was abolished in 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972 and its former area now forms part of Brentwood borough.

Ingrave is a village and former civil parish in the Brentwood in Essex, England. It is situated on and around the A128 road, 2 miles (3.2 km) southeast of the town of Brentwood. Together with the adjoining village of Herongate, it now forms the Herongate and Ingrave civil parish. In 1931 the parish had a population of 692. On 1 January 1937 the parish was abolished and merged with Brentwood.

Thorndon Hall is a Georgian Palladian country house within Thorndon Park, Ingrave, Essex, England, approximately two miles south of Brentwood and 25 miles (40 km) from central London. Formerly the country seat of the Petre family who now reside at nearby Ingatestone Hall, the house is located within nearly 600 acres (240 ha) of ancient medieval deer park, meadows and forest. The garden is designed by Capability Brown. Thorndon Hall is Grade-I listed with English Heritage, and the park is Grade II*-listed.

Mountnessing is a village and civil parish in the Borough of Brentwood in south Essex, England. It is situated to the north-east of Brentwood, south-west of Ingatestone. A large proportion of the houses are situated on the Roman Road (formerly the A12 road until the village was bypassed in the 1970s) between Brentwood and Ingatestone. The village is approximately equidistant between the two closest railway stations of Shenfield and Ingatestone.

Herongate and Ingrave is a civil parish in the Brentwood borough in Essex, England. The parish includes the villages of Ingrave and Herongate. The parish was formed on 1 April 2003 from part of the unparished area of Brentwood.

Thorndon Park Chapel (The Petre Chapel) is a former Roman Catholic private chapel situated in Thorndon Park, near the grounds of Thorndon Hall near Ingrave, Essex, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Historic Chapels Trust.
