Etxebarri

Etxebarri is a railway station in Etxebarri, Basque Country, Spain. It is owned by Euskal Trenbide Sarea and operated by Euskotren. It lies on the Bilbao-San Sebastián line.

Kukullaga is the southern terminus of line 3 of the Bilbao metro. The station is also served by Euskotren Trena commuter and regional rail services. The station is located in the neighborhood of Kukullaga, in the municipality of Etxebarri, which is part of the Bilbao metropolitan area. It is one of two metro stations in Etxebarri, the other one being Etxebarri. It opened on 8 April 2017. During the planning and construction process, the station was referred to as Etxebarri-Norte and San Antonio-Etxebarri.

Basauri is the southern terminus of line 2 of the Bilbao metro. The station is located in the municipality of Basauri, part of the Bilbao metropolitan area. It opened in 2011. The Cercanías Bilbao commuter railway network (operated by Renfe) also has a Basauri station on its C3 line, but they are not at the same location – there is a distance of about 2.3 kilometres (1.4 mi) between them, with the Cercanías station serving the industrial area to the south of the town, including the large Sidenor steel facility.

Ariz is a station on line 2 of the Bilbao metro. The station is located in the municipality of Basauri. It was opened in 2011. The Euskotren Trena commuter railway network has a station with the same name at a distance of about 350 metres (380 yd), but the two stations are not connected.

Bolueta is a station on lines 1 and 2 of the Bilbao metro. The station is located in the neighborhood of the same name, in the district of Begoña. It opened on 5 July 1997.Until 2019 it was also served by suburban Euskotren Trena trains coming from Durango, Bermeo and San Sebastián. Between 2017 and 2019, these lines were diverted through line 3 of the metro, completely bypassing Bolueta. In 2022, the Bilbao tram reached Bolueta along the disused railway corridor.

Otxarkoaga is a station on line 3 of the Bilbao metro. The station is also served by Euskotren Trena commuter and regional rail services. The station is located in the neighborhood of Otxarkoaga, part of the Otxarkoaga-Txurdinaga district of Bilbao. It opened on 8 April 2017.

Ariz is a railway station in Basauri, Basque Country, Spain. It is owned by Euskal Trenbide Sarea and operated by Euskotren. It lies on the Bilbao-San Sebastián line.

Otxarkoaga-Txurdinaga is the third district of the city of Bilbao (Biscay), in the Spanish Basque Country. It is divided into the neighbourhoods of Otxarkoaga and Txurdinaga. It has an area of 389.94 hectares and a population of 26,458 inhabitants (2016), being one of the least densely populated districts of the city.

Basauri is a major municipality of Biscay, in the Basque Country, an Autonomous Community in northern Spain. The town is a part of the Greater Bilbao conurbation, being only a few kilometers south of Bilbao. It is an industrial town that also includes monuments such as the tower-house of Ariz. It holds the only prison in the province, located where the rivers Nervión and Ibaizabal meet. The municipality has 40,589 inhabitants (2019).

The Ibaizabal (wide river in Basque) is a river that drains southeastern Biscay to the Estuary of Bilbao. It is 43 kilometres (27 mi) long from its source at Elorrio to the Nervión, and it passes by the towns of Durango and Amorebieta and joins the Nervión river at Basauri. Both rivers run then together for a short length until they merge with the sea at Bilbao. It is disputed which river is the one that actually reaches Bilbao. It is commonly agreed that it is the Nervión, but there are some who argue that the Ibaizabal carries more water.

Club Deportivo Basconia is a Spanish football club based in Basauri, Biscay, in the autonomous community of Basque Country. Founded on 14 March 1913, it currently plays in Tercera División RFEF – Group 4, holding home games at Estadio de López Cortázar, with an 8,500-seat capacity. In 1997, they entered into a partnership with Athletic Bilbao to serve as a feeder club for Bilbao and essentially operate as the club's C team.
