Molycourt Priory

Outwell Village railway station was a station in Outwell, Norfolk on the Wisbech and Upwell Tramway. It opened in 1884 and closed to passengers in 1928. Goods services ran on a while longer, before finishing in 1966. The line provided inspiration for Toby the Tram Engine.

Beaupré Hall was a large 16th-century house mainly of brick, which was built by the Beaupres in Outwell, Norfolk, England and enlarged by their successors the Bells. Like many of Britain's country houses it was demolished in the mid-20th century.

Outwell is a village and civil parish in the borough of King's Lynn and West Norfolk, in the English county of Norfolk.At the 2011 Census, the parish had a population of 2,083, an increase from 1,880 at the 2001 Census.

Upwell railway station was a station in Upwell, Norfolk on the Wisbech and Upwell Tramway. It was opened in 1883 to carry passengers and agricultural wares to Wisbech where they would go to market, or be shipped off to other towns or cities. Competition with motor buses led to the station's closure to passenger services in 1928, along with the rest of the line. The line featured in BBC tv film by reporter Fyfe Robertson in 1964. Goods services continued until 1966, carrying produce from the surrounding farms; these are now carried by road. Following closure the line to Wisbech was taken up. The village signs in Upwell still bear a picture of a tram recognising the heritage of the settlement. It was during several visits that the Reverend .W. Awdry, author of the Railway Series, was inspired to come up with the character of Toby the Tram Engine modelled on the trams that worked the line. The site of the former station has recently been converted into a car park for the health centre (doctors' surgery) in Upwell. Reverend W. Awdry used to live in the old vicarage in Emneth, from the window in his attic he could see the trams acting. This led to him inventing the characters Toby the Tram Engine and later on Mavis in Thomas the Tank Engine.

Barroway Drove is a village in the parish of Stow Bardolph in Norfolk, England. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. Barroway Drove was referred to as Bardolph Fen. The village lies on the eastern edge of The Fens and is notable for its lack of amenities and poor quality roads. Barroway Drove Village Hall is the central hub of the community. It is the venue of the weekly parent and toddler group called Little Gems, and also takes on the role of polling station on election days. In 2007, Stephen Fry filmed a number of scenes for his popular ITV television series Kingdom in the village.

Nordelph is a civil parish near Downham Market in the English county of Norfolk. The parish covers an area of 16.57 km2 (6.40 sq mi) and had a population of 375 in 151 households at the 2001 census, increasing to 405 at the 2011 Census. In 1930 a new civil parish of Nordelph was created in Downham Rural District, taking land mostly out of the Marshland RD parishes of Upwell and Outwell.For the purposes of local government, Nordelph falls within the district of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. The Church of England parish church, Holy Trinity, is of brick in the Early English style, and was erected in 1865 as a chapel of ease to the parish church of Upwell. A new ecclesiastical parish was formed in 1909 from the parishes of Upwell, Downham West, Denver, Stow Bardolph and Outwell. The Reverend Edwin Emmanuel Bradford (1860–1944), Uranian poet and novelist, was vicar of Nordelph from 1909 to 1944. In 1912, there were also Wesleyan Methodist and United Methodist chapels.

Outwell Basin railway station was a stop on the Wisbech and Upwell Tramway in Outwell, Norfolk. It opened in 1883 carrying passenger and goods traffic from nearby farms. It was closed to passengers in 1928, with goods services continuing on the line until 1966. The line it once stood on is now a grassy track.

Emneth Hungate is a small settlement near the village of Emneth in Norfolk, England, near the border with Cambridgeshire. It once had its own Emneth railway station on the now-closed line between Watlington and Wisbech.

Upwell is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. Upwell village is on the A1101 road, as is Outwell, its conjoined village at the north. The nearest towns are Wisbech to the north-west and Downham Market to the east. The parish covers an area of 27.65 km2 (10.68 sq mi) and had a population of 2,456 in 1,033 households at the 2001 census, increasing to 2,750 at the 2011 Census. And most recently, In the 2021 census the town population has nearly doubled to 4,734.

Marshland Rural District was a rural district in Norfolk, England from 1894 to 1974.It was formed under the Local Government Act 1894 based on the Marshland rural sanitary district, and was named after the Freebridge Marshland hundred. It covered an area to the west of King's Lynn on the borders of Lincolnshire and the Isle of Ely. In 1930 a new parish of Nordelph was created in Downham RD, taking land mostly out of the Marshland RD parishes of Upwell and Outwell.During the period 1933-1935 it absorbed most of the area of the disbanded Walsoken Urban District, with other minor boundary changes.In 1974, the district was abolished under the Local Government Act 1972, and became part of the West Norfolk district.
