The Rocky River is a 50.3-mile-long (81.0 km) tributary of the Savannah River in the U.S. state of South Carolina. It flows into the Savannah River just west of Calhoun Falls at 34°05′28″N 82°38′25″W. It forms as the confluence of Beaverdam Creek and Little Beaverdam Creek northeast of Anderson at 34°34′13″N 82°33′02″W.

The Oolenoy River is a minor tributary of the Saluda River sourced near Sassafras Mountain in northern Pickens County, South Carolina. Approximately 37 miles in length, it empties into the South Fork Saluda River near Pumpkintown. It is part of the Santee River System.

Roper House Complex, also known as Camp Oolenoy and Elizabeth Ellison House, is a historic home located near Pickens, Pickens County, South Carolina. It was built in 1856, and enlarged and remodeled by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) with American Craftsman influences in about 1937. Also on the property are three contributing outbuildings; a smokehouse, garage, and chicken coop. It was the home of Manning Thomas Roper, first superintendent of Table Rock State Park. He also provided the land for both CCC camps and also provided the right-of-way for the original park entrance. In 1952, the Roper House became part of the Table Rock State Park, Camp Oolenoy complex. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Table Rock Civilian Conservation Corps Camp Site is a historic Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp site located near Pickens, Pickens County, South Carolina. It contains remnants of the CCC construction of Table Rock State Park between 1935 and 1941, including the recreation hall chimney, bulletin board with adjacent benches, grotto fountain, and basin. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Civilian Conservation Corps Quarry No. 1 and Truck Trail is a historic Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) quarry site located near Pickens, Pickens County, South Carolina. The site is associated with the CCC construction of Table Rock State Park between 1935 and 1941. It is one of four quarry sites used for materials in the construction of park structures and facilities at the park. The truck trail was used by CCC workers to gain access to the quarry.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

It is one of four quarry sites used for materials in the construction of park structures and facilities at the park. Located on the property is a concrete spring house built by CCC workers.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Doomsday Castle is a reality television series on National Geographic Channel, that was canceled in 2013, showing the lives of Brenton Bruns and his five children preparing for the end of the world, in a castle he has built near Pickens, South Carolina. The show is a spin-off of Doomsday Preppers; Bruns and his castle were originally featured on the season 2 episode "No Such Thing as a Fair Fight". Bruns says he built a castle to survive an electromagnetic pulse, since a castle can survive without electricity and defend against raiders. It started as a bunker in 1999, and is continuously being added to. Bruns states that his property is covered with booby traps, and his neighbors are "serious preppers with lots of guns".

Bald Rock Heritage Preserve is a state preserve in Cleveland, South Carolina, within the Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area and managed by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. It is near Caesars Head State Park and overlooks Table Rock. Bald Rock is accessible via footbridge from a parking area off of U.S. Route 276. The property is closed at night (sunset to sunrise). No graffiti, alcohol, drugs, fires (or fireworks), camping, or littering is allowed on the property.

Williams–Ligon House, also known as Cedar Rock Plantation and Magnolia Estates, is a historic home and farm complex located Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina. The house was built in 1895, and is a two-story, frame I-house with a one-story rear addition. It features Folk Victorian decorative elements including spindle work and turned porch posts and balusters and brackets. Also on the property are a contributing barn that was the original Williams house (c. 1875), a smokehouse, and several mid-20th century barns and farm buildings.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Griffin-Christopher House is a historic home located Pickens, Pickens County, South Carolina. It was built in 1887, and is a two-story, frame "L"-plan, I-house with a two-story rear addition. It features a two-tiered full-height front and side porches with Folk Victorian decorative elements including jig-saw cut wood trim.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Glassy Mountain is a mountain close to Pickens, South Carolina, USA, in northwestern South Carolina, with a summit elevation of 1,703 feet (519 m) above mean sea level. While it is an isolated monadnock, it is still close to the Blue Ridge, providing views of nearby summits such as Table Rock and Caesar's Head as well as Greenville. The mountain gets its name from a large, bare, granite face on its north side. At the top of this rock face are small springs that trickle down the mountain, giving it a "glassy" appearance in the sun. It is easily accessible, as a small service road for transmitter towers leads to the summit. Local high schoolers often paint the rock face with graduation years. These year numbers can be so large as to be seen on aerial imaging of the mountain This mountain is often confused with another Glassy Mountain located in Greenville County, South Carolina, which is nearby. Glassy Mountain in Greenville County has a higher elevation of 2,782 feet and is not a monadnock as it is connected to other mountains. It is also home to the Cliffs at Glassy Mountain golf course community. In 1990, owners Pat McCoy and Thomas Atkinson sold Glassy Mountain to the South Carolina Heritage Trust Program, which designated it Glass Mountain Heritage Preserve.
