Mountnessing Windmill is a grade II* listed post mill at Mountnessing, Essex, England. Built in 1807, it was most recently restored to working order in 1983.

Heybridge is an urban settlement in Brentwood borough of Essex, England, contiguous with the village of Ingatestone. The main development comprises a mixture of houses and bungalows which were built in 1954 on land owned by the Coal Board and an area of local authority housing. It is on the course of a Roman Road. This was formerly the A12 road (England) until it was by-passed in the 1970s: Heybridge can be accessed from junction 13 of the A12 (Truelove's Interchange). The residential development is bounded by the railway line and River Wid to the south beyond which is rolling agricultural land. Heybridge is within walking distance of Ingatestone railway station. Ingatestone Hall is nearby.

The village is approximately equidistant between the two closest railway stations of Shenfield and Ingatestone.

Fryerning is a small village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Ingatestone and Fryerning, which is situated approximately 1+1⁄2 miles (2.4 km) north of Ingatestone in Essex, England. The parish church of St. Mary the Virgin, on Blackmore Road, dates back from the 11th century, with a 15th-century brick tower. It has a memorial stained glass window to the murdered politician Airey Neave, which was unveiled by his cousin Penelope in 1985. An ancient English Yew, found to the west of the church and is over a millennium old, is thought to be one of Essex's oldest trees. In 1881, the parish had a population of 704.Fryerning is located in mid-Essex and has several big areas of woodland populated by several large herds of deer, which are frequently seen by walkers and cyclists.The village has no shops, but two pubs: The Cricketers and The Viper; the latter becomes particularly busy during its biannual beer festivals.

Hutton Country Park is a 37.4 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Brentwood in Essex. It is owned and managed by Brentwood Borough Council.The River Wid forms the northern boundary of the park, and it is bisected by the Great Eastern Main Line. Most of the site is semi-natural grassland which has a diverse range of species. There are also areas of oak and hornbeam woodland, ponds and wetlands. There are birds such as moorhens and long-tailed tits, insects including large red damselflies and orange tip butterflies, and flowers such as the lesser stitchwort and ox-eye daisy.There is access from Wash Road

Mill Green is a hamlet in civil parish of Ingatestone and Fryerning, in the Brentwood district, in the English county of Essex. It is near the town of Ingatestone and the village of Fryerning. There is a wood called Millgreen Wood and a mill called Mill Green Mill. The Viper public house at The Common, is on the Campaign for Real Ale's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors.

Shenfield High School is a coeducational 11-18 secondary school located in Shenfield, Essex, England. It has over 1200 students on roll, including 300 in the sixth form. It opened in 1962, celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2012. It converted to academy status in February 2012.To coincide with the fiftieth anniversary the school adopted a new badge and uniform. The new badge incorporates golden spurs tilted into the shape. As part of its annual Awards Ceremony, the school now bestows the Golden Spurs Award on a student who has given outstanding community service.

Ingatestone railway station is on the Great Eastern Main Line in the East of England, serving the village of Ingatestone, Essex. It is 23 miles 50 chains (38.0 km) down the line from London Liverpool Street and is situated between Shenfield to the west and Chelmsford to the east. Its three-letter station code is INT. The station is currently managed by Greater Anglia, which also operates all trains serving it, as part of the East Anglia franchise.
