Bucklesham Mill River – sometimes referred to simply as Mill River – is a tributary of the River Deben in Suffolk, England. It is 11.3 km (7.0 mi) long and with the Newbourne Stream which flows into it at Newbourne it constitutes the Bucklesham Mill River Water Body with a catchment area of 46.298 km2 (17.876 sq mi). The river gets its name from the Bucklesham watermill, located on Watermill Road where it crosses the river leading to Newbourne. The closest train station to Kirton is Trimley. According to the 2011 census, Kirton had a population of 1,146. It is located between the River Deben and the River Orwell. The village of Kirton covers a total area of 8.3 km2 (3.2 sq mi). As the county of Suffolk lacks quarries, many of the buildings are made from flint, clay and timber.Kirton and Falkenham share the Parish Council, the school, the Village Hall, and most of the organisations. Kirton has a church and it also has access to a primary school.

Felixstowe railway station is the eastern passenger terminus of the Felixstowe Branch Line, in the east of England and is the only surviving station serving the coastal town of Felixstowe, Suffolk. It is 15 miles 51 chains (25.2 km) down the line from Ipswich and 84 miles 30 chains (135.8 km) measured from London Liverpool Street; the preceding station on the line is Trimley. Its three-letter station code is FLX. It was opened by the Great Eastern Railway in 1898 as Felixstowe Town to distinguish it from the other stations at Felixstowe Pier and Felixstowe Beach, both of which have since closed. The station is owned by Network Rail and is currently managed by Greater Anglia, which also operates all trains serving it.

In 2001 the parish had a population of 32. The parish church of All Saints is one of 38 surviving round-tower churches in Suffolk and is a Grade II* listed building.The village economy revolves around the pub next to the river dock.Ramsholt was a historic fishing town before Felixstowe docks.

Felixstowe School is a secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Felixstowe, Suffolk, England. The school was formed in September 2011 from the merger of Orwell High School and Deben High School. Formerly, the school operated from both of these school sites, before all pupils were later accommodated by the recently constructed new buildings at the former Orwell High School site, with the old Deben High School premise being closed. Felixstowe School’s new buildings cost approximately £19 million, and were officially opened for teaching on Monday 28 April 2014. The school was previously sponsored by AET but from September 2019, it was taken over by a local Suffolk trust, Unity Schools Partnership, who sponsor a number of successful schools across the county. The school offers further education (FE) courses, primarily at A Level, but also several specialised vocational courses. In 2017, the school received an 'inadequate' rating from Ofsted.

Trimley St. Mary is a parish and village on the outskirts of Felixstowe, on a low-lying peninsula between Harwich Harbour and the River Deben, in Suffolk, England. It lies on the Roman road between Felixstowe and Ipswich. Its eastern border is Spriteshall Lane. The village, and its neighbour Trimley St. Martin, are famous for their adjacent churches, which were built as the result of a historical family feud. St. Mary's church is the southerly church (at grid reference TM 276 369). The village has a number of shops, and two pubs. Trimley railway station serves the village on the Felixstowe Branch Line. According to the 2011 census, the population of Trimley was 3,665.In the 1870s, Trimley St Mary was described in this way: Trimley ST. Martin and T.St. Mary are two parishes in Woodbridge district. The churches stand in one churchyard, and are both rubble buildings.

Ramsholt Cliff is a 2.1-hectare (5.2-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-west of Ramsholt in Suffolk. It is a Geological Conservation Review site, and it is in the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.This site is very important historically because it was the basis for the distinction of the Pliocene Coralline Crag Formation as a new stratigraphical division by the nineteenth-century geologist, Edward Charlesworth. The well preserved fossils include several unusual species.Most of this steeply sloping site on the bank of the River Deben is inaccessible, but a footpath runs along the top and a track leads to a small area of bank.
