Copdock is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Copdock and Washbrook, in the Babergh district, in the county of Suffolk, England. In 1961 the civil parish had a population of 399.

Washbrook is a village and former civil parish 3 miles (4.8 km) south west of Ipswich, now in the parish of Copdock and Washbrook, in the Babergh district, in the county of Suffolk, England. In 2011 the built-up area had a population of 517. In 1961 the parish had a population of 368. As of 1958 Washbrook Street was a secondary settlement for Washbrook.

St Mary's Church is a redundant Anglican church in the village of Washbrook, Suffolk, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. It stands in an isolated position in fields about 3 miles (5 km) west of the centre of Ipswich.

Belstead is a village and civil parish in the Babergh district of the English county of Suffolk. Located on the southern edge of Ipswich, around 3 miles (5 km) south-west of Ipswich town centre. It had a population of 202 according to the 2011 census. Belstead has amenities such as a village hall, St Mary's the Virgin Church, The bridge school for children with learning difficulties and Belstead Brook Hotel and Spa. It is in the Belstead Brook electoral division of Suffolk County Council.

There are two notable Ipswich Hoards (which is to say, ancient hoards found in Ipswich, the county town of Suffolk, England). The first was a hoard of Anglo-Saxon coins discovered in 1863. The second was a hoard of six Iron Age gold torcs that was discovered in 1968 and 1969. The latter hoard has been described as second only to the Snettisham Hoard in importance as a hoard from the Iron Age, and is held at the British Museum.

Belstead House is a Grade II listed 16th/17th century house in Sprites Lane, Pinewood, Suffolk. It was bought by Major Quilter in 1901. Until 1920 it was known as Hill House and lay at the centre of a 102 acre farm. The building was remodelled by Harold Hooper and Garrard in 1936, during which much of the original building was lost, although it was in some ways expanded using material from other period houses available locally.Belstead House was bought by East Suffolk County Council in 1948 to provide accommodation for High Court Judges visiting Ipswich. It was also used as venue for adult education, a use which increased when it was no longer used by the judges after 1974. Aside from use as a venue for residential courses, it was also used by Suffolk County Council.

The Bridge School is a coeducational special school located in Ipswich in the English county of Suffolk. The school was formed in 2010 as a result of the merger of Heathside Primary School and Belstead School, both of which were designated as special schools. The school has 20 nursery pupils, 100 primary and 60 secondary. The schools are located on one single site in Sprites Lane in Ipswich following completion of the new Primary School on land adjacent to the Secondary School. The secondary school educates children from ages 11 to 16 The primary campus has a nursery attached to it which children can join from age 3.The school is previously governed by an IEB or Interim Executive Board. However Suffolk County Council confirmed by letter on 8 February 2018 that there were no plans to convert the school to an academy following mixed communications and parent pressure. Despite this the school converted to academy status on 1 June 2019 and is now sponsored by the Unity Schools Partnership.

Bentley Church railway station was located in Suffolk, the village of Bentley. It was situated between the stations of Hadleigh and Manningtree, 1+1⁄4 miles (2.0 km) northeast of Bentley Station. It opened in 1846 and closed in 1853.

Pinewood is a civil parish and electoral ward in the Babergh district of the English county of Suffolk. Whilst not part of the borough, it forms part of the town of Ipswich although part of the parish is separated from it by Belstead Brook, a tributary of the River Orwell. The parish was formed on 1 April 1994 from parts of Washbrook, Belstead and Wherstead. It is in the Belstead Brook electoral division of Suffolk County Council.

Capel railway station was a station in Capel St Mary, Suffolk, on a short branch line from Bentley Junction to Hadleigh. The station buildings were remarkably ornate for a village with a population of 649 in 1851 and 504 in 1931. There were goods sidings on the northern side of the station, which were used extensively in World War II handling supplies to a nearby United States Army Air Forces base, later known as RAF Raydon. The line opened in 1847 and closed to passenger traffic in 1932 and for freight services in 1964 a year before closure of the line. As the railway line through the station crossed the A12 road at a level-crossing, when the road was widened in the early 1970s the station was demolished. Capel Station Garage and car repairs workshop now occupies part of the site.

Chattisham is a village and civil parish in Suffolk, England. Located around two miles west of Ipswich and half a mile south of the A1071, it is part of Babergh district. In 2006 its population was 140, increasing to 167 at the 2011 Census. It is in the Belstead Brook electoral division of Suffolk County Council. In the early 1870s, Chattisham was portrayed as: "CHATTISHAM, a parish in Samford district, Suffolk; 2¼ miles NE of Raydon r. station, and 5 SW by W of Ipswich. Post town, Ipswich. Acres, 713. Real property, £1, 427. Pop., 192. Houses, 47. The property is divided among a few. The living is a vicarage in the Diocese of Norwich. Value, £168.* Patron, Eton College. The church has a brass of 1592; and is good. There are a Wesleyan chapel, and charities £6."
