Combe Haven is a 153-hectare (380-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest between Hastings and Bexhill-on-Sea in East Sussex. An area of 18.5 acres (7.5 hectares) is Filsham Reedbed Local Nature Reserve, which is managed by the Sussex Wildlife TrustThis site has diverse habitats. Most of it is poorly drained alluvial meadows which are divided by drainage ditches. There is also ancient woodland and Filsham Reedbed is the largest area of reed beds in East Sussex. There are diverse breeding and wintering birds and many species of butterflies.

Bexhill College is a sixth form college in the south-east of England. The college is based in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex and is located on Penland Road, north-east of the town centre. The college has maintained an Ofsted rating of Good in its Ofsted report since 2010, with its most recent being in 2019.

Glyne Gap Halt was a railway station located in East Sussex between Bexhill and Hastings. It was opened on 11 September 1905 by the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway (LBSCR), and closed ten years later.

Filsham Reedbed is an 18.5-hectare (46-acre) Local Nature Reserve on the western outskirts of St Leonards-on-Sea in East Sussex. It is owned by Hastings Borough Council and managed by Sussex Wildlife Trust. It is part of Combe Haven Site of Special Scientific Interest.This is one of the largest reedbeds in the county and it also has areas of grazing marsh, swamp and ancient woodland. There is a wide variety of plants and over 1000 species of invertebrates have been recorded. The bird life is also important and diverse.There is access from Reedswood Road and from a footpath alongside Combe Haven river.

Manor Ground was a cricket ground at Bexhill-on-Sea, Sussex, England. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1894, when Viscount Cantelupe's XI played the touring South Africans in a non first-class match. The only first-class match held at the ground came in 1896 when Earl de la Warr's XI played the touring Australians. In 1965 when Sussex played the International Cavaliers. The ground is today a part of the sports field of St Richard's Catholic College.

Bulverhythe, also known as West St Leonards and Bo Peep, is a suburb of Hastings, East Sussex, England with its Esplanade and 15 ft thick sea wall. Bulverhythe is translated as "Burghers' landing place". It used to be under a small headland called Gallows Head, which was washed away by flooding. The suburbs of Filsham, West Marina and Harley Shute are nearby.

Sidley railway station is a closed railway station In Sidley, East Sussex. It was on the Bexhill West branch of the Hastings line from Tunbridge Wells. It was opened by the South Eastern and Chatham Railway and was operated by the Southern Region of British Railways on closing. All the station buildings and platforms were demolished soon after closure. The goods shed was the last railway building on the site which was demolished in 2009 having been derelict for many years. The cutting where the station was situated was infilled to about platform level and the levelled land used by a motorbike training centre which closed in 2012. Work started in January 2013 on construction of a new Bexhill to Hastings link road which has been built along the trackbed through the site of the platforms and opened in 2015.
