Banora Point High School

Banora Point is a suburb located in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia in Tweed Shire. Together with Tweed Heads South and Terranora it had a combined population of 27,368 in 2001, including 21,457 (78.4%) Australian-born persons and 525 (1.9%) indigenous persons. In the 2016 census, Banora Point had a population of 16,167.The eastern boundary is aligned with the Tweed River. There is a golf course in its centre and several islands along the river. The Pacific Motorway passes through the eastern parts. The town is largely suburban although it has also become a hub for small businesses with a growing industrial estate and shopping precincts. A number of schools, both public and Catholic, are also situated in the region. Demographically, families and retirees account for much of its growing population.

Saint Joseph's College (SJC) is an independent Roman Catholic co-educational secondary day school, located in Banora Point, near Tweed Heads, the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. Founded in 1993, the college is administered by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lismore and associated with the Parish of St Joseph, along with St Joseph's Primary School and St James' Primary School, the latter of which is situated on the same campus.

The Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School is a dual campus independent Anglican co-educational early learning, primary, and secondary day school, located in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. The school offers an integrated curriculum from early learning, through Kindergarten to Year 12. The school has two campuses, with early learning to Year 4 at Tweed Heads South, and Year 5 through to Year 12 in Terranora. It is located in the Anglican Diocese of Grafton.

Terranora is a town located on the northern boundary of New South Wales, Australia. At the 2021 census, Terranora had a population of 3,365 people.The town is part of the Tweed Shire local Government area. Its postcode is 2486. Two schools are located there - Terranora Public School and the senior campus of Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School. Well known children's author, Hesba Fay Brinsmead, made her home in Terranora from 1976 until the early 2000s (she died in nearby Murwillumbah). Terranora is also home to Luke Garner, Penrith Panthers Second-rower and St Kilda Saints FC player Sam Gilbert who became the 30th player to play 200 games for the club in its 145 year history.

The Ukerabagh Island is a river island in the Ukerabagh Island Nature Reserve, a protected nature reserve. It is located in the mouth of the Tweed River, in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales in eastern Australia. The 125-hectare (310-acre) reserve is situated near Tweed Heads and 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) south of a section that defines the border between the states of New South Wales and Queensland. The island and reserve is an important site for coastal birds.

Piggabeen Sports Complex is a sporting venue situated in the suburb of Tweed Heads West in Tweed Heads, New South Wales, Australia. Predominantly used as a rugby league ground, it is the home ground of the Tweed Heads Seagulls, who play in the Queensland Cup. The ground is also used by the club's junior rugby league teams.

Tweed Heads is often referred to as a town where people can change time zones – even celebrate New Year twice within an hour – simply by crossing the street, due to its proximity to the Queensland border, and the fact that New South Wales observes daylight saving whereas Queensland does not.

Len Peak Oval is a multi-sports venue in Coolangatta, a suburb in the Gold Coast, Australia. It includes an Australian rules football ground and has the unique distinction of being located less than 50 metres from the Queensland-New South Wales border. It has been used by the Coolangatta Tweed Blues men's and women's teams as their home game base. The Oval is named after former Gold Coast Mayor Alderman Len Peak.
