Banora Point is a suburb located in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia in Tweed Shire. Together with Tweed Heads South and Terranora it had a combined population of 27,368 in 2001, including 21,457 (78.4%) Australian-born persons and 525 (1.9%) indigenous persons. In the 2016 census, Banora Point had a population of 16,167.The eastern boundary is aligned with the Tweed River. There is a golf course in its centre and several islands along the river. The Pacific Motorway passes through the eastern parts. The town is largely suburban although it has also become a hub for small businesses with a growing industrial estate and shopping precincts. A number of schools, both public and Catholic, are also situated in the region. Demographically, families and retirees account for much of its growing population.

Banora Point High School is a government-funded co-educational comprehensive secondary day school, located in Banora Point, a town in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. Established in 2004, the school catered for approximately 600 students in 2018, from Year 7 to Year 12, of whom approximately 12 percent identified as Indigenous Australians and six percent were from a language background other than English. The school is operated by the NSW Department of Education; the principal is Christopher Randle.

The Ukerabagh Island is a river island in the Ukerabagh Island Nature Reserve, a protected nature reserve. It is located in the mouth of the Tweed River, in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales in eastern Australia. The 125-hectare (310-acre) reserve is situated near Tweed Heads and 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) south of a section that defines the border between the states of New South Wales and Queensland. The island and reserve is an important site for coastal birds.

Tweed Heads is a coastal town at the mouth of the Tweed River in the Northern Rivers region in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Tweed Heads is the northern most town in New South Wales, and is located in the Tweed Shire local government area. It is situated 830 km (520 mi) north of Sydney and 103 km (64 mi) south of Brisbane. The town is next to the border with Queensland and is adjacent to its "twin town" of Coolangatta, which is a suburb of the Gold Coast in Queensland. Tweed Heads is often referred to as a town where people can change time zones – even celebrate New Year twice within an hour – simply by crossing the street, due to its proximity to the Queensland border, and the fact that New South Wales observes daylight saving whereas Queensland does not.

Chinderah is a town in the Tweed Shire. It is located south of Tweed Heads and next to the seaside township of Kingscliff. An industrial estate, golf course and small shopping precinct are located within the area.

The Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School is a dual campus independent Anglican co-educational early learning, primary, and secondary day school, located in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. Len Peak Oval is a multi-sports venue in Coolangatta, a suburb in the Gold Coast, Australia. It includes an Australian rules football ground and has the unique distinction of being located less than 50 metres from the Queensland-New South Wales border. It has been used by the Coolangatta Tweed Blues men's and women's teams as their home game base. The Oval is named after former Gold Coast Mayor Alderman Len Peak.

Piggabeen Sports Complex is a sporting venue situated in the suburb of Tweed Heads West in Tweed Heads, New South Wales, Australia. Predominantly used as a rugby league ground, it is the home ground of the Tweed Heads Seagulls, who play in the Queensland Cup. The ground is also used by the club's junior rugby league teams.

The Town of Coolangatta was a local government area in South East Queensland, Australia, centred on Coolangatta. It existed from 1914 to 1949.

Jazzland Dance Hall, also known as Jazzland Dance Palais, was a dance hall located in Coolangatta, Queensland. The venue was built in 1928 and was used as an entertainment venue throughout the first half of the twentieth century. Though no longer used for dances and social events, the building remains at the western end of McLean Street at the intersection with Griffith Street. The former dance hall is listed on the Gold Coast Local Heritage Register as a rare surviving purpose built ballroom built in Queensland, Australia during the interwar period and in acknowledgement of its role of the social life of the region. It is also recognised in the Coolangatta Local Area Plan for its heritage and character components. In 2002 the building was considered for the Queensland State Heritage Register but was not listed.
