Santa Apolónia station is the southern terminus on the Blue Line of the Lisbon Metro.

The Santa Apolónia Station is the oldest railway terminus in Portugal. Situated in the civil parish of São Vicente, in the central part of the municipality of Lisbon, on the northern margin of the Tagus River in the historical district of Alfama.

ISPA – Instituto Universitário (English: Institute of Applied Psychology, officially Instituto Universitário de Ciências Psicológicas, Sociais e da Vida MH) is a private research university institute located in Lisbon. Founded in 1962 as Instituto de Ciências Psicopedagógicas, it was the first institution of higher education in the area of psychology in Portugal. The Fado Museum is a music museum dedicated to Fado located in the Lisbon neighbourhood of Alfama. It was inaugurated on 25 September 1998.In 2008 the museum was thoroughly renovated. Rather than recreating the traditional environment of Fado, its Permanent Exhibition changed its focus to exhibiting artworks related to Fado by artists such as José Malhoa, Júlio Pomar and Constatino Fernandes, as well as objects from Fado's history, including sheet music, videos, music and hundreds of biographies. Among the works exhibited are the paintings O fado by José Malhoa and Os fadistas (1873) by Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro. An audio guide in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish was also made available to the museum's visitors.Since 2016 the museum hosts on its official website a digital sound archive with thousands of sound recordings, available in full, going back to the beginning of the 20th century. The recordings can be browsed by interpreter or repertoire. It has also created a record label, Museu do Fado Discos.

Saint Stephen Church (Portuguese: Igreja de Santo Estêvão) is a church in Alfama district of Lisbon, Portugal. It is classified as a National Monument.

The 4th President of Portugal, Sidónio Pais, was shot and fatally wounded at the Lisboa-Rossio Railway Station in Lisbon, Portugal on 14 December 1918. The act was carried out by the left-wing political activist José Júlio da Costa.

The Church of Santa Engrácia (Portuguese: Igreja de Santa Engrácia, pronounced [iˈɣɾeʒɐ ðɨ ˈsɐ̃tɐ ẽˈɡɾasiɐ]) is a 17th-century monument in Lisbon, Portugal. Originally a church it was converted into the National Pantheon (Panteão Nacional, pronounced [pɐ̃tiˈɐ̃w̃ nɐsiuˈnaɫ]), in which important Portuguese personalities are buried. It is located in the Alfama neighborhood, close to another important Lisbon monument, the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora.

The National Industrial Property Institute or the Portuguese Institute of Industrial Property, in Portuguese Instituto Nacional da Propriedade Industrial, known also by its acronym INPI, is the Portuguese office which deals with the protection of trademarks, patents, utility models and industrial design. The Pantheon of the House of Braganza (Portuguese: Panteão da Casa de Bragança), also known as the Pantheon of the Braganzas (Panteão dos Bragança), is the final resting place for many of the members of the House of Braganza, located in the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora in the Alfama district of Lisbon, Portugal. The pantheon's burials have included Portuguese monarchs, Brazilian monarchs, a Romanian monarch, queen consorts of Portugal, and notable Infantes of Portugal, among others.

The Palace and Gardens of Panaca (Portuguese: Palácio Panaca e Jardims), sometimes characterized as the Palácio Palha (for the Pereiras, Farias, and Almeidas families) is a palace within the Santa Engrácia area of the civil parish of São Vicente, in the municipality in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon.

The Alfama (Portuguese pronunciation: [aɫˈfɐmɐ]) is the oldest neighborhood of Lisbon, spreading on the slope between the São Jorge Castle and the Tagus river. Its name comes from the Arabic al-ḥamma (الحَمّة), meaning "hot fountains" or "baths," akin to "hammam" (حَمَّام). The district includes the freguesias (parishes) of São Miguel, Santo Estêvão, São Vicente de Fora and part of the two streets, "Freguesia da Sé: Rua do Barão" and "Rua São João da Praça". It contains many important historical attractions, as well as an abundance of Fado bars and restaurants.
