Jetty Island

Port Gardner, also known as Port Gardner Bay, is an inlet of Possession Sound on which the city of Everett, Washington is located. The Snohomish River flows into the north end of the bay. It was named by George Vancouver for his patron and former commander, Alan Gardner. Vancouver meant the name to apply to all of Saratoga Passage, but over time it came to refer to only the bay near Everett.

The Weyerhaeuser Office Building is a building located in Everett, Washington, that was once listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building was built in 1923. Weyerhaeuser, at the time the largest employer in Everett, commissioned architect Carl Gould to design a 6,000-square-foot (560 m2) building that would showcase local wood varieties such as fir, cedar, and hemlock. The building houses a two-story, concrete-and-steel, 160 ton vault that was originally used to store the company payroll. The Gothic-style structure was erected at the company's first Everett plant, known as Mill A. The building was first moved by barge in 1938. It was located up the Snohomish River to the company's Mill B, located near the Legion Memorial Golf Course. The structure served as an office space until the mill closed in 1979. In 1983, the building was donated to the Port of Everett. It was relocated at the Port's south marina. The structure served as an office space for the Everett Chamber of Commerce in the 1980s. In July 2016, the structure was relocated to Boxcar Park, located within the Esplanade District at the water's edge. The building had been moved twice before to other locations around Everett. The building includes a 100+ ton safe which complicated its move.The port wanted to reopen the building in 2020, but the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic rendered the renovation work cost-prohibitive without a private partner; the port commission eventually approved a ten-year lease with The Lokey Group, led by Whidbey Island restaurateur Jack Ng, to operate the building as a bar, coffee shop, and museum in March 2022. The renovated building, tentatively renamed The Muse, is projected to open on March 23, 2023, marking the centennial of its original opening. However, as of April 2023, work on the building is still in progress.

Equator was a two-masted pygmy trading schooner known for carrying passengers Robert Louis Stevenson and Fanny Vandegrift Stevenson on a voyage through the islands of Micronesia in 1889. She was later used a wire drag vessel by the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey, and finally as a tugboat along the Puget Sound until her abandonment in 1956. Equator was left to decay as part of a breakwater before she was saved in the 1960s. Efforts to restore her ultimately failed, leaving her remains under an enclosed structure in a decaying state.

Possession Sound is part of Puget Sound, located in the U.S. state of Washington between Whidbey Island and the shoreline of Snohomish County approximately between the cities of Everett and Mukilteo. Possession Sound connects the main Puget Sound basin to the south with Saratoga Passage and Port Susan to the north. The Snohomish River flows into Possession Sound at Port Gardner Bay. Gedney Island, also called Hat Island, is located in Possession Sound. Possession Sound was named by George Vancouver. On June 3, 1792, Vancouver landed near the present site of Everett and celebrated the birthday of George III by holding a ceremony claiming possession of the land of "New Georgia" for Britain. Due to his circumnavigation of the world, Vancouver's dates are off by one. June 3 was, by his reckoning, June 4, the king's birthday. His possession ceremony also involved the naming of Possession Sound, Port Gardner, Port Susan, and the Gulf of Georgia.In 1825 a large piece of the southern tip of Camano Island slid into Possession Sound—an event known as the Great Slide. A resultant tsunami from the slide drowned many Indian residents of nearby Hat Island. After that, the Tulalip Indians used the site only for seasonal clamming.The Washington State Route 525, Mukilteo-Clinton passenger ferry run crosses the narrowest section of Possession Sound.

The North Coast Casket Company Building was a building located in Everett, Washington listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building was built in 1926 when William G. Humbert added a casket production building for his mill. It had been known as the North Coast Casket Company Building and the Collins Building. While the building was placed on the National Register of Historical Places in 2006, costs made the building's renovations impractical. The building was deconstructed in 2010.

Naval Station Everett (NAVSTA Everett) is a military installation located in the city of Everett, Washington, 25 miles (40 km) north of Seattle. The naval station, located on the city's waterfront on the northeastern end of Puget Sound, was designed as a homeport for a US Navy carrier strike group and opened in 1994. A separate Navy Support Complex is located in Smokey Point, 11 miles (18 km) north of Everett near Marysville, and houses a commissary, Navy Exchange, a college and other services. NAVSTA Everett is home to seven guided-missile Destroyers, a Coast Guard Keeper-class cutter USCGC Henry Blake, and a USCG Marine Protector-class patrol boat, USCGC Blue Shark. There are about 6,000 sailors and civil service persons assigned to commands located at Naval Station Everett. The Naval Station itself has about 350 sailors and civilians assigned.

The Snohomish River is a river in Snohomish County, Washington, formed by the confluence of the Skykomish and Snoqualmie rivers near Monroe. It flows northwest entering Port Gardner Bay, part of Puget Sound, between Everett and Marysville. The Pilchuck River is its main tributary and joins the river at Snohomish. The river system drains the west side of the Cascade Mountains from Snoqualmie Pass to north of Stevens Pass. Measured at Monroe, the Snohomish River has an average annual flow of 9,500 cubic feet per second (270 m3/s). In comparison, the Columbia River, Washington's largest river, has an average flow of about 265,000 cubic feet per second (7,500 m3/s).

Providence Regional Medical Center Everett is a full-service medical center and the flagship hospital of Providence Health & Services, the largest faith-based healthcare system in the Northwestern United States. It serves patients from Snohomish County, Skagit County, Whatcom County, Island County, and San Juan County, Washington. Its two campuses are located in Downtown Everett, Washington. The medical center was established in 1994 with the merger of the two hospitals in the city, Providence Hospital and Everett General Hospital. General Hospital became the Colby Campus site of the merged entity while Providence Hospital became the Pacific Campus site. Providence Everett has over 3,000 employees and approximately 1,000 physicians on staff. It is currently licensed for 571 beds, with 448 at the Colby Campus and 123 at the Pacific Campus.

Everett-Pacific Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company was established in 1942 to build ships needed for World War II. Yard construction began on 1 March 1942. As part of the Emergency Shipbuilding Program, the US Navy provided some of the capital to start Everett-Pacific Shipbuilding at Port Gardner Bay in Everett, Washington. Everett-Pacific was sold in 1945 to the Pacific Car and Foundry, who was already a major manufacturer of railcars and trucks. Pacific Car and Foundry was building barges for the US Navy during World War II at plants in Renton, Seattle and Tacoma in the state of Washington. The lease for the shipyard in Everett, Washington ended in 1949 and the yard closed. Pacific Car and Foundry in 1972 changed its name to Paccar Inc. to reflect its major products. The Everett-Pacific shipyard site later became part of Western Gear, a heavy machinery manufacturer. From 1987 to 1992, the shipyard was rebuilt to become part of Naval Station Everett. Everett-Pacific Shipbuilding was started by William Pigott Jr. a Seattle businessmen and his brother Paul Pigott (1900-1961). William Pigott Jr. was born in 26 Aug. 1895 in Pueblo, CO and died on 8 July 1947 in San Francisco, CA.

Everett Community College (EvCC) is a public community college in Everett, Washington. EvCC educates more than 19,000 students every year at locations throughout Snohomish County, Washington, with most students and faculty at the main campus in Everett.

American Legion Memorial Park (also known as Legion Park) is a 1.6 hectares (4.0 acres) park in Everett, Snohomish County, Washington. It is located at 145 Alverson Boulevard, on the north side of Everett, overlooking Port Gardner. The park has tennis courts, baseball fields, a playground, and a picnic area. The park's northwestern scenic viewpoint was renamed Hibulb Lookout in 2014, in honor of a former Snohomish village sited nearby.

Priest Point is a former census-designated place (CDP) in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. The population was 779 at the 2000 census. The CDP was discontinued at the 2010 census.Based on per capita income, one of the more reliable measures of affluence, Priest Point ranks 74th of 522 areas in the state of Washington to be ranked.
