Fort Harrison State Park

Fort Benjamin Harrison was a U.S. Army post located in suburban Lawrence Township, Marion County, Indiana, northeast of Indianapolis, between 1906 and 1991. It is named for the 23rd United States president, Benjamin Harrison.

Camp Edwin F. Glenn is a national historic district located at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis, Indiana. It encompasses 19 contributing buildings and 360 contributing structures in a former military camp. The district developed between about 1925 and 1941. It originally served as a Citizens' Military Training Camp from 1925 to 1941, a camp for the Civilian Conservation Corps from 1933 to 1941, and a Prisoner of War camp from 1944 to 1945. The district includes six warehouses, five mess halls, five lavatories, a branch exchange, butcher shop, latrine, and 360 concrete tent pads.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

Fort Harrison Terminal Station, also known as Fort Harrison Post Office, is a historic train station located at Fort Benjamin Harrison in suburban Lawrence Township, Marion County, Indiana, northeast of Indianapolis, Indiana. It was built in 1908, and is a one-story, brick building with Prairie School and Bungalow / American Craftsman style design elements. It has a low, double pitched hipped roof sheathed in metal. It served as a terminal for the interurban Union Traction Company until 1941, after which it housed a U.S. Post Office.: 2–3  It has been converted into a Mexican restaurant. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Indian Creek is a stream in Marion County, Indiana, in the United States. It is a tributary of Fall Creek. Indian Creek was so named from the fact that Native Americans used the area as a camping ground.A 60-acre (24 ha) reservoir named Indian Lake was created by the construction of a dam on the creek in 1929.

The Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township is a school district in Lawrence Township in northeast Marion County, Indianapolis, Indiana. It covers an area of 48 square miles (120 km2) and in 2010 had a student enrollment just under 16,000.It includes two high schools, two middle schools, eleven elementary schools, four kindergarten centers, and one alternative school for at-risk students of middle-school and high-school age. It also operates a Diploma Recovery Program for adults (over 18) and a Community Education Program.The district includes eight National Blue Ribbon Schools, which have achieve a 97% graduation rate and over 75% progression to post-secondary education.

Lawrence is a city in Marion County, Indiana, United States. It is one of four "excluded cities" in Marion County. The city is home to Fort Benjamin Harrison within Fort Harrison State Park. The population was 49,370 at the 2020 census. The city is on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

Indian Lake is a reservoir in the city of Lawrence in Marion County, Indiana, United States. It is approximately 11 miles (20 km) northeast of downtown Indianapolis. It was created in 1929 by damming Indian Creek, a tributary to Fall Creek. Prior to the creation of Geist Reservoir in 1943 and Eagle Creek Reservoir in 1967, Indian Lake was the largest body of water in Marion County.

Skiles Test Nature Park, sometimes called Skiles Test Nature Area is a nature park on the northeast side of Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. It is in the northern trailhead of the Fall Creek Parkway and loved by hikers, bikers and nature enthusiasts. The land, originally owned by millionaire Skiles Test, was willed to Indianapolis after his death. His house is supposedly a haunted house known as the House of Blue Lights.Skiles Test, a local business man, lived on the property from 1913 to 1964. The property once had a miniature railway and a pool with bathhouses, elevators, and high dives.In 2010 Big Car organized series of site specific art installations in the park including works by Cindy Hinant, Nathan Monk, and Lukas Schooler.

The House Of Blue Lights was the name given to a house on the far northeast side of Indianapolis, Indiana, US. Decorated year round with blue Christmas lights, it was actually the home of eccentric Indianapolis millionaire Skiles Edward Test. It gained a reputation for being haunted and has become part of Indianapolis folklore.
