Burlingame is a neighborhood in San Diego, California, bordered by North Park to the north and east, and by South Park to the south, and is located within the boundaries of the Greater North Park Community Planning Area.Burlingame is a historic district recognized by the City of San Diego for its Craftsman Bungalow, Tudor Revival, Mission Revival, Spanish Colonial Revival, Prairie School, Art Deco and California Ranch architectural styles as well as properties that are hybrids of several styles.

St. Augustine High School is a private Catholic high school for young men under the direction of the Order of Saint Augustine located in the North Park district of San Diego, California and founded in 1922. It is located in the Diocese of San Diego, and is a member of the Augustinian Secondary Education Association. Named after Saint Augustine of Hippo, an early Christian theologian, St. Augustine teaches young men within the framework of the Catholic faith and in the Augustinian tradition. This culturally diverse school serves the communities of San Diego County and Tijuana, Mexico. The school also publicly states, "We open our doors to all boys we believe will benefit from our academic program."

It includes the sub-neighborhoods of Burlingame, Altadena, and the Morley Field area (site of the Dryden Historic District). North Park is part of the 53rd congressional district, and San Diego City Council District 3. The "community" of North Park as defined for planning purposes includes University Heights on the north and Juniper Canyon as the southern boundary, thus including as far southeast as Cedar Ridge Park in the officially defined community.The North Park sign can be seen at 30th Street and University Avenue, and this intersection is considered to be the heart of the neighborhood.

Free Radio San Diego (96.9 FM) was an unlicensed radio station located in San Diego, California. The founders claim that its creation was a reaction to Federal Communications Commission restrictions on new radio licenses. They provided a commercial-free unlicensed broadcast beginning on October 13, 2002 — with occasional interruptions due to FCC raids and technical issues. The open-format music selection was chosen by DJ preference but was weighted towards punk rock. Also featured were syndicated news programs such as Democracy Now! and Free Speech Radio News.

The San Diego Velodrome is a 333m outdoor bicycle racing track located in the Morley Field Sports Complex in San Diego, California. Constructed in 1975 and resurfaced in 2010, it is owned by San Diego Parks and Recreation. Currently operated by the San Diego Velodrome Association, the track hosts regular races sanctioned by Cycling USA and training nights. In 2007, the track hosted the USA Cycling Collegiate Track National Championships.

The North Park Dryden Historic District is a historic district in North Park, San Diego, 92104 along both 28th and Pershing Streets, bordered to the north by Landis Street and to the south by Upas Street. The community is a neighbourhood of early twentieth century American Craftsman Bungalows as well as Spanish Colonial Revival homes and California Bungalows built in the 1920s and 1930s. It features a high concentration of homes designed and built by the renowned Arts and Crafts era architect/builder David Owen Dryden. On 23 June 2011, the San Diego Historical Resources Board (HRB) approved the establishment of the North Park Dryden Historic District. Of the 136 homes in the District, 100 were deemed of historic value. As well as recognising the community's contribution to the City's heritage fabric, the HRB also honoured the work of builder Edward F Bryans - including 15 of the homes in the District - with the designation of Master Builder.

South Park is a neighborhood in San Diego, California adjacent to the southeast corner of Balboa Park. It stands out in San Diego for its tree-lined streets and walkable business district. Predominantly a single-family residence area with some small apartment buildings and bungalow courts, it is noteworthy for its fine and varied collection of Craftsman and Spanish Colonial Revival style homes built between 1905 and 1930. These include works by Irving Gill, William S. Hebbard, and Richard Requa. It is also home to Pathfinders, one of the oldest residential treatments centers for alcoholism in California. The main roads through South Park, forming its business district, are 30th Street, which was named the nation's best craft beer boulevard by Men's Journal, and Fern St. The neighborhood is dog-friendly and has one of the few designated dog parks adjacent to a residential area in San Diego.The South Park neighborhood is part of the Golden Hill Community Planning Area. The San Diego Police Department classifies South Park as a Central Division neighborhood bounded by Balboa Park on the west at 28th Street, Juniper Street on the north, A Street on the south, and Juniper Canyon and SR 15 on the east. It includes zip codes 92102 and 92104.

Albert Einstein Academy Charter School is an IB Primary Years Programme-certified charter school in San Diego, California, United States. It is a part of the San Diego Unified School District. Established in 2002, it is the only school in the district authorized as an IB-PYP school. The school serves grades kindergarten through 8th grade. It is actually chartered as two schools: an elementary school (K-5) of about 300 students and a middle school (6-8) of about 250 students. It is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.The school teaches via a language immersion program in which classes are taught partly in English and partly in German. Spanish was later added to the mix. The German-English immersion program has attracted visits from members of the German Parliament.As with all charter schools in San Diego, the school is free; admission is by application and a lottery. Originally, preference was given to students who speak German. However, that policy was challenged by the school board as possibly discriminatory and is no longer in place.

The Linkery was a farm-to-table restaurant in North Park, San Diego, California that specialized in natural meat, local food, fine wines, craft beer, and cask ale. The restaurant's name referred to its daily-changing offerings of house-made sausages.The Linkery was founded in 2005 by Jay Porter, a former engineer and consultant for consumer electronics companies with no prior restaurant experience. Porter was responsible for the restaurant's strict fixed-tipping policy, which angered other nearby establishments.The Linkery's philosophy was based in part on the premise that "eating is an agricultural act," proposed by Wendell Berry in The Pleasures of Eating.As of July 15, 2013, The Linkery closed and the location was re-sold to another company.

Pacific Southwest Airlines (PSA) Flight 182 was a Boeing 727-214 commercial airliner, registration N533PS, that collided with a private Cessna 172 light aircraft, registration N7711G, over San Diego, California, at 9:01 am on Monday, September 25, 1978. It was Pacific Southwest Airlines' first fatal accident, and the deadliest air disaster in California history. Both aircraft crashed into North Park, a San Diego neighborhood. Flight 182 impacted just north of the intersection of Dwight and Nile streets, killing all 135 people aboard the aircraft and seven people on the ground in houses, including two children. The Cessna impacted Polk Avenue between 32nd and Iowa streets, killing the two on board. Nine others on the ground were injured and twenty-two homes were destroyed or damaged by the impact and debris.
