Geuzenveld

Geuzenveld-Slotermeer is a neighborhood and former borough (stadsdeel) comprising some of the most western parts of the city of Amsterdam, Netherlands. As a borough it existed from 1990 till 2010, when it merged with the boroughs Osdorp and Slotervaart to form the new borough Amsterdam Nieuw-West. The National Rugby Centre Amsterdam, also known as NRCA Stadium, is a rugby stadium in Amsterdam. The complex is situated within the Sportpark de Eendracht in the district of Geuzenveld-Slotermeer. All international matches of the Netherlands national team are played at the NCRA, and the offices of the Netherlands Rugby Board (NRB) are at the complex.Plans for the National Rugby Centre Amsterdam (NRCA) were formed by the NRB in the eighties and nineties as the increasing interest in rugby grew so strong that the old offices in Bussum became impracticable. Candidates for a new national rugby center had included The Hague, Amersfoort and Amsterdam. After much deliberation and some lobbying, the location at Sportpark De Eendracht was finally selected. The complex was completed in 1997 and officially opened by the then Secretary of State for Sport Erica Terpstra.Besides the Dutch national team, the rugby clubs ASRV Ascrum and AAC play at the complex. The final of the top division of the Dutch national rugby championship is played at the stadium, as is the Amsterdam Sevens, a long-term and internationally renowned rugby sevens tournament. The Amsterdam Women's Sevens which is part of the World Rugby Women's Sevens Series is also played at the NRCA.

Slotermeer is a neighborhood of Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is divided in Slotermeer Northeast and Slotermeer Southwest. The center of Slotermeer is located in the area surrounding Plein '40-'45.

Osdorp (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɔzˌdɔr(ə)p]) is neighbourhood of Amsterdam, Netherlands. A larger area was, from 1981 until 2010, a stadsdeel (borough) of Amsterdam and in 2010 was merged into the new borough of Amsterdam Nieuw-West.

Westelijke Tuinsteden is a neighborhood of Amsterdam, Netherlands. It consists of six neighbourhoods with their own spatial and functional structure: Bos en Lommer, Slotermeer, Geuzenveld, Slotervaart, Overtoomseveld and Osdorp. Since 2010 these districts, with the exception of Bos en Lommer, form part of the Nieuw-West borough. These districts are grouped around the Sloterplas lake, which was dug to extract sand to build of the new garden cities. Sloterplas, with the surrounding Sloterpark, forms the heart of the western suburbs. The Nieuwe Meer was also excavated to a depth of approximately 30 metres to extract sand.

The Amsterdam Heliport (Dutch: Amsterdam Helihaven) (ICAO: EHHA) is a small modern heliport located in the north west of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in a harbour area known as the Westpoort. It provides parking space outside for four helicopters and hangar space for another three. The heliport was opened in 2005, aiming mainly at VIP transport and airwork. The main user of the heliport is Heli Holland.

Westpoort (Western Gateway or Western Port) is a borough (stadsdeel) of Amsterdam, Netherlands. The borough covers the Port of Amsterdam, the main harbour and industrial area of the city, and is located in the north-western part of Amsterdam. It is divided in the industrial areas of Teleport, Sloterdijk areas I, II and II, De Heining and the harbour area (Havengebied). While the borough has very few permanent residents, it serves as corporate headquarters of over 1,500 Dutch and foreign companies that operate in the Netherlands. Therefore, approximately 45,000 people commute to the area for work on workdays, making it the largest commuter destination within city limits. As a primarily business district, Westpoort does not have its own district committee like the other boroughs do. Instead, it is governed directly by the central municipal council, as a port and industrial park rather than a neighborhood. The northern border of the area is formed by the North Sea Canal. The district borders the boroughs of West and Nieuw-West and the municipality of Haarlemmerliede en Spaarnwoude (including the town of Halfweg).
