Sloterpark is an urban park in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Located in the borough Amsterdam Nieuw-West, around the artificial lake Sloterplas.

Amsterdam Nieuw-West is a borough (Dutch: stadsdeel) comprising the westernmost neighbourhoods of the city of Amsterdam, Netherlands. It was created in 2010 after a merger of the former boroughs Osdorp, Geuzenveld-Slotermeer and Slotervaart. In 2017, the borough had almost 150,000 inhabitants.Most of the residential neighborhoods of Amsterdam Nieuw-West were built after 1950 under an urban expansion plan, based on the garden city concept. Centrally located within the borough are the Sloterplas (literal translation: Lake Sloter) and Sloterpark (around the lake).

Slotermeer is a neighborhood of Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is divided in Slotermeer Northeast and Slotermeer Southwest. The center of Slotermeer is located in the area surrounding Plein '40-'45.

Jan van Galenstraat metro station is a station of the Amsterdam Metro's Route 50 (Ringlijn) and Route 51. It was opened on 28 May 1997 and is named after Commodore Jan van Galen who served under the Dutch Republic. Near the station are located the OLVG West (also known as Sint Lucas Andreas Hospital), Student Hotel Amsterdam West and Sports Hall Jan van Galen. There is a Tram-stop right by the main entrance.

The Japanese School of Amsterdam (JSA, Dutch: De Japanse School van Amsterdam, Japanese: アムステルダム日本人学校 Amusuterudamu Nihonjin Gakkō) is a Japanese international school in Amsterdam. As of 1997 the JSA is the Japanese school for about 66% of the Japanese nationals in the country.The Japanese government subsidizes the school.

Postjesweg is a metro station in Amsterdam Nieuw-West and is served by GVB metro line 50 and 51. There is also a bus stop of line 18 at the north side of the main entrance.

Geuzenveld-Slotermeer is a neighborhood and former borough (stadsdeel) comprising some of the most western parts of the city of Amsterdam, Netherlands. As a borough it existed from 1990 till 2010, when it merged with the boroughs Osdorp and Slotervaart to form the new borough Amsterdam Nieuw-West. VVA/Spartaan are a Dutch amateur football club from the Amsterdam borough of Amsterdam-West in the neighborhood Bos en Lommer, founded in 1901. The club hold both a Saturday and a Sunday team, with both competing in the Derde Klasse.

De Vlugtlaan is a metro station on Line 50 and Line 51 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Between 1986 and 2000, Amsterdam De Vlugtlaan railway station was in use on the railway running parallel next to the metro line.

Amsterdam Lelylaan is a railway, metro, tram and bus station in west Amsterdam. It is served by trains of the Nederlandse Spoorwegen and metros of the GVB. The station opened on 1 June 1986. It is located on the Amsterdam-Schiphol railway, a few km south of Amsterdam Sloterdijk railway station. South of this station, trains turn west towards Schiphol railway station, while metros turn east towards Amsterdam Zuid railway station. The station is located in the Amsterdam borough of Slotervaart, on a long viaduct spanning three roads.
