Lemberg (Stuttgart)

Korntal-Münchingen is a town in the district of Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated at the northwestern border of Stuttgart, 8 km of its centre and 10 km southwest of Ludwigsburg.

Feuerbach is a borough (Stadtbezirk) of the city of Stuttgart. Its name is derived from the small river of the same name that flows from the neighboring district of Botnang through Feuerbach. Feuerbach is home to one of Germany's biggest industrial giants and is surrounded by the districts of Zuffenhausen, Bad Cannstatt, Stuttgart-North, Stuttgart-West, Botnang and Weilimdorf.

Weilimdorf (German pronunciation: [ˈvaɪlʔɪmdɔɐ̯f]), until 1955 known as "Weil im Dorf", is the north-western borough (Stadtbezirk) of the German city and capital of Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart. Weilimdorf, covering an area of 12.6 square kilometres (4.9 sq mi) with a population of around 30,000, borders the Stadtbezirke of Zuffenhausen, Feuerbach, Stuttgart-West, and the towns of Gerlingen, Ditzingen, and Korntal-Münchingen in the Ludwigsburg district. Weilimdorf became part of Stuttgart in 1933 amidst the hardship of the economic instability of the 30s in Germany. The city district is made up by six Stadtteile: Weilimdorf (with more than 50% of the population), Bergheim, Giebel, Hausen, Weilimdorf-Nord and Wolfbusch and is home to an expanding commercial area. Notable architecture includes Castle Solitude, the 15th Century Oswald Church and the Löwen-Markt, the modern center of Weilimdorf.

The Porsche Museum is an automobile museum in the Zuffenhausen district of Stuttgart, Germany on the site of carmaker Porsche.

Neuwirtshaus (Porscheplatz) station is on the Stuttgart S-Bahn in the Stuttgart district of Zuffenhausen in the German state of Baden-Württemberg.

Altdischingen Castle, also called the "Old Castle", is a former (Burgstall) hilltop castle around 400 m (437.45 yd) above sea level in the Solitude state forest range of Weilimdorf, a district incorporated into Baden-Württemberg's capital Stuttgart in 1933.The castle situated 400 m (437.45 yd) south of Dischingen Castle had only been built at the end of the 11th Century and was destroyed in the mid 12th Century. The former castle had an area of approximately 25 by 40 m (27.34 by 43.74 yd). The site is bounded by a ravine on the south, by a 2.5 to 3 m (2.73 to 3.28 yd) deep trench to the north and the east side. In front of this main ditch is an additional wall in the north and east with its own 1 m (1.09 yd) deep trench. No visible parts of the walls and buildings have been preserved above ground.

Knaupenbach is a small river of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It flows into the Feuerbach near Botnang, a Stadtteil of Stuttgart.

Zuffenhausen is one of three northernmost boroughs of the city of Stuttgart, capital of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The borough is primarily an incorporation of the formerly independent townships Zuffenhausen, Zazenhausen, Neuwirtshaus, and Rot, the latter is a historic town that gained importance in 1945 as a refugee camp for German refugees. As of 2009 around 35,000 people lived in Zuffenhausen's area of 1,200 ha (12 km2), making it the third largest of Stuttgart's outer boroughs. Zuffenhausen is also one of the oldest continuously inhabited places in Stuttgart with evidence of permanent settlements that can be traced back 7,500 years. The etymological roots of "Zuffenhausen" are assumed to be found in the name of a seventh century Alemanni settler "Uffo" or "Offo". The oldest known official denotation as a property of Bebenhausen Abbey by Pope Innocent III dates to May 18, 1204. Zuffenhausen was proclaimed a city in 1907, yet soon financially badly affected by the Great Depression, Zuffenhausen and later Zazenhausen, agreed to the incorporation into Stuttgart city on 1 April 1931. Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen station on the Franconia Railway is served by lines S4, S5, S6 and S60 of the Stuttgart S-Bahn. The headquarters of Porsche and the Porsche Museum are located in Zuffenhausen. Stuttgart Neuwirtshaus (Porscheplatz) station is nearby and served by lines S6 and S60.

The Killesberg Railway (German: Killesbergbahn) is a miniature railway in the Killesberg Park in Stuttgart, Germany. Opened with the park in 1939, the 15 in (381 mm) gauge track travels in a 2,294.35-metre (7,527.4-foot) loop around the park. Diesel locomotives pull trains around the park daily during the summer months whilst steam locomotives are used for special occasions. The park now maintains four locomotives, of which two are powered by diesel and two by steam. Blitzschwoab is the oldest of the two diesel engines, manufactured in 1950. Schwoabapfeil was manufactured in 1992. The steam engines Tazzelwurm and Springerle were delivered to the park in 1950 to replace the two that originally operated on the line until they were removed to Leipzig during World War II. The Killesbergbahn was formerly operated by the Stuttgart Fair company and today by a promotion association.

Grüner Heiner is a mountain of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is a Schuttberg, an artificial hill built from the ruins and rubble from World War II.

The Buberlesbach is a small river in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It flows into the Sommerhaldenbach in Botnang, a Stadtteil of Stuttgart.

The Killesbergpark (Höhenpark Killesberg) is an urban public park of half a square kilometre (123 acres) in Stuttgart, Germany. It is just north of the state capital, where Killesberg is a quarter of the borough of Stuttgart-Nord (North). The park dates back to the horticultural show of 1939. Before the show, a large area of the park had been a quarry. It was transformed into a park with exhibition sites for the show, and has remained, hosting horticultural events on a regular basis, including the “Bundesgartenschau” and the IGA (Internationale Gartenbauausstellung), both garden festivals. The Killesbergpark bordered for many years the city's fairgrounds. In 2007, Messe Stuttgart moved to new ground close to Stuttgart Airport. Every July the park hosts the popular Lichterfest Stuttgart. Thousands of lanterns are placed around the park, decorating the park for a variety of family activities throughout. After dark, there is a fireworks show accompanied by music. Visitors often bring blankets to sit on for the show.
