Weilimdorf (German pronunciation: [ˈvaɪlʔɪmdɔɐ̯f]), until 1955 known as "Weil im Dorf", is the north-western borough (Stadtbezirk) of the German city and capital of Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart. Weilimdorf, covering an area of 12.6 square kilometres (4.9 sq mi) with a population of around 30,000, borders the Stadtbezirke of Zuffenhausen, Feuerbach, Stuttgart-West, and the towns of Gerlingen, Ditzingen, and Korntal-Münchingen in the Ludwigsburg district. Weilimdorf became part of Stuttgart in 1933 amidst the hardship of the economic instability of the 30s in Germany. The city district is made up by six Stadtteile: Weilimdorf (with more than 50% of the population), Bergheim, Giebel, Hausen, Weilimdorf-Nord and Wolfbusch and is home to an expanding commercial area. Notable architecture includes Castle Solitude, the 15th Century Oswald Church and the Löwen-Markt, the modern center of Weilimdorf.

Korntal-Münchingen is a town in the district of Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated at the northwestern border of Stuttgart, 8 km of its centre and 10 km southwest of Ludwigsburg.

Altdischingen Castle, also called the "Old Castle", is a former (Burgstall) hilltop castle around 400 m (437.45 yd) above sea level in the Solitude state forest range of Weilimdorf, a district incorporated into Baden-Württemberg's capital Stuttgart in 1933.The castle situated 400 m (437.45 yd) south of Dischingen Castle had only been built at the end of the 11th Century and was destroyed in the mid 12th Century. The former castle had an area of approximately 25 by 40 m (27.34 by 43.74 yd). The site is bounded by a ravine on the south, by a 2.5 to 3 m (2.73 to 3.28 yd) deep trench to the north and the east side. In front of this main ditch is an additional wall in the north and east with its own 1 m (1.09 yd) deep trench. No visible parts of the walls and buildings have been preserved above ground.

Golfanlage Schloss Nippenburg is a golf course in Schwieberdingen, located on the northwestern edge of Stuttgart, Germany. The 18-hole course has its name from castle Nippenburg, located next the golf course. The par 71 course was designed by Bernhard Langer and was established in 1995.From 1995 to 1997 the Golfanlage Schloss Nippenburg hosted the German Open. The tournament was won by Colin Montgomerie in 1995, Ian Woosnam in 1996 and Ignacio Garrido in 1997.

Gerlingen (Swabian: Gaerlenge) is a town in the district of Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated 9 km west of Stuttgart, and 15 km southwest of Ludwigsburg. Gerlingen is home to Bosch, a major engineering and electronics company.

Solitude Palace (German: Schloss Solitude) is a Rococo schloss and hunting retreat commissioned by Charles Eugene, Duke of Württemberg. It was designed by Johann Friedrich Weyhing and Philippe de La Guêpière, and constructed from 1764 to 1769. It is located on an elongated ridge between the towns of Leonberg, Gerlingen and Stuttgart in Baden-Württemberg.

Nippenburg, both the ruined castle built on a mountain spur overlooking the Glems river valley and the farming village it was constructed in, is located 295 m above sea level (NN) and 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) from Stuttgart's city center near the town of Schwieberdingen. The oldest record of Nippenburg's existence is from the Codex Hirsaugiensis of 1160, making it among the oldest castles in the vicinity of Stuttgart. Today, all that remains of the castle is the high curtain wall and outer bailey and a large barn built in 1483, thanks to a short-lived effort in the early 1980s to restore these structures.

Schwieberdingen is a municipality of the Ludwigsburg district in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The town itself is located about 10 kilometers (6.2 mi) from Stuttgart, the state capital, and 5 kilometers (3.1 mi) from Ludwigsburg, the district capital. Schwieberdingen belongs to the Stuttgart Region and Metropolitan Region. Schwieberdingen is twinned with the French township of Vaux-le-Pénil. Schwieberdingen was possibly founded in the 3rd century, but was first mentioned in a 1304 document. The town is characterized by its location on the route from Flanders to the Black Sea, which today forms the Bundesstraße 10. After the Second World War, Schwieberdingen transitioned from an agricultural base to an industrial one. The town's sports club is the TSV Schwieberdingen. Its largest division, the football club, plays in the Verbandsliga Württemberg.
