John Anson Ford Amphitheatre

The Hollywood Cross (also known as the Hollywood Pilgrimage Memorial Monument) is a 32-foot high, steel cross and historic-cultural monument (#617) in Hollywood, California. Located just above the Ford Amphitheatre and overlooking the Cahuenga Pass, Hollywood Freeway and Hollywood Bowl, it was originally erected as a memorial for Christine Wetherill Stevenson and is now owned by The Church On The Way in Van Nuys, California. In the early 1980’s the cross fell into disrepair. Conquest GBC, Inc. lead by general contractor Jim Korkunis rebuilt the monument in 1993. A Sikorsky helicopter was rented for a total of $4,500 and took about an hour to place. Today the cross still stands strong and sturdy.

The Hollywood Bowl Jazz Festival is an upcoming event to be held in the Hollywood Bowl that was known previously as the Playboy Jazz Festival to celebrate jazz as well as feature both established and up and coming musicians of the genre.

The Korea Times Music Festival (originally titled Korean Music Festival until 2013) is an annual event held at the Hollywood Bowl in the United States. Featuring artists from South Korea's K-pop music industry, the organizers describe it as one of the largest music festivals held in Southern California.The festival was founded and organized by The Korea Times to give Korean Americans residing in southern California an opportunity to stay in touch with Korean culture. The first festival in 2003 was 'in celebration of the centennial anniversary of the Korean immigration to the United States'.

The Hollywood Bowl is an amphitheatre in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. It was named one of the 10 best live music venues in America by Rolling Stone magazine in 2018.The Hollywood Bowl is known for its distinctive bandshell, originally a set of concentric arches that graced the site from 1929 through 2003, before being replaced with a larger one to begin the 2004 season. The shell is set against the backdrop of the Hollywood Hills and the famous Hollywood Sign to the northeast. The "bowl" refers to the shape of the concave hillside the amphitheater is carved into. The Bowl is owned by the County of Los Angeles and is the home of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the host venue for hundreds of musical events each year.It is located at 2301 North Highland Avenue, west of the (former) French Village. It is north of Hollywood Boulevard and approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) from the Hollywood/Highland Metro Rail station. It is adjacent to U.S. Route 101.

The Playboy Jazz Festival was an annual event that was sponsored by Playboy Enterprises to celebrate jazz as well as feature both established and up and coming musicians of the genre.

The Hollywood Heritage Museum, also known as the "Hollywood Studio Museum," is located on Highland Ave. in Hollywood, California, United States. The museum is opposite the Hollywood Bowl and is housed in the restored Lasky-DeMille Barn, which was acquired in February 1983 by Hollywood Heritage, Inc., and moved to its present site. It was dedicated on December 13, 1985. Since 1985, Hollywood Heritage has funded the preservation, restoration and maintenance of early Hollywood treasures. The museum features archival photographs from the silent era of motion pictures, movie props, historic documents and other movie related memorabilia. Also featured are historic photographs and postcards of the streets, buildings and residences of Hollywood during its golden age. Special events entitled 'Evenings at the Barn' are open to the public and regularly programmed including speakers, screenings and/or slideshows with a focus toward Hollywood's early history. Occasionally, historic silent films are screened in cooperation with the Silent Society.

The Lasky-DeMille Barn is one of Hollywood's first film studios. It is a designated California State Historic Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is now the site of the Hollywood Heritage Museum.

The Highland-Camrose Bungalow Village is a grouping of Craftsman style bungalows located at the northwest corner of Highland and Camrose Avenues in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. The bungalows were designed by the Taylor Brothers and Lee Campbell as residences. The bungalows were later converted to offices, which are occupied by various organizations affiliated with the nearby Hollywood Bowl, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. In 1989, the bungalow village was added to the National Register of Historic Places.The listing included 16 contributing buildings, a contributing structure (stone walls), and a contributing site (landscaping).

Hollywood Reservoir, also known as Lake Hollywood, is a reservoir located in the Hollywood Hills, situated in the Santa Monica Mountains north of the Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. It is maintained by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. The reservoir and surrounding neighborhood lie east of the Hollywood Freeway and are overlooked from a distance by the Hollywood Sign.The reservoir is created by the Mulholland Dam, built in 1924, designed by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, then named the Bureau of Water Works and Supply, as part of the city's water storage and supply system.Hollywood Reservoir has appeared in films such as Chinatown (1974), where Hollis Mulwray is discovered dead along the shores, and Earthquake (1974). The reservoir is featured in Visiting... with Huell Howser Episode 915. and the Season 4 opening of the TV Series 9-1-1.

The Mulholland Dam is a Los Angeles Department of Water and Power dam located in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, California, east of the Hollywood Freeway. Designed with a storage capacity of 7,900 acre⋅ft (9,700,000 m3) of water at a maximum depth of 183 feet (56 m), the dam forms the Hollywood Reservoir, which collects water from various aqueducts and impounds the creek of Weid Canyon.

American Legion Post 43, in Hollywood, California was founded in 1919 by World War I veterans in the motion picture business such as founding members Cecil B. DeMille, Walter Long, and Adolph Menjou. Known as the "Post to the Stars", members have included Hollywood luminaries such as Gene Autry, Humphrey Bogart, Ernest Borgnine, Clark Gable, Charlton Heston, Stan Lee, Ronald Reagan, Mickey Rooney, and Rudy Vallee.The post's historic clubhouse was completed in 1929, formally opening its doors on July 4th. It was built in the Egyptian Revival style by architects and fellow Legionnaires, Gene and Joe Weston, also known for the NRHP listed Amelia Earhart Library. The property features an iconic art-deco bar that has since become a popular filming location. Its 6,000 square foot theater has been a popular venue for studios to introduce new stars to the veteran community since its inception, and recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation to bring it up to date with modern digital sound and projection technology in 2019.Unlike many posts around the country, Post 43 has been able to maintain its relevancy into the 21st century, attracting many of the recent veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan with its forward thinking leadership continuing to partner with Hollywood and assist transitioning veterans into the many technical roles needed in Hollywood.The property was recognized by the City of Los Angeles, Cultural Heritage Commission, Cultural Affairs Department Historic-Cultural Monument No. 462 on November 3, 1989, and by the Windsor Square-Hancock Park Historical Society landmark #101 in 2010.

Whitley Heights is a residential neighborhood and historic preservation overlay zone in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Central Los Angeles, California. Known as a residential area for actors and other people in the motion-picture industry, it is divided between a hillside single-family district and an apartment area. It is notable for an attempt by its homeowners' group and the city to close off public streets to outside traffic, an effort that was ruled illegal by the courts.
