Garegnano

Garegnano Charterhouse, also known as Milan Charterhouse (Italian: Certosa di Garegnano or Certosa di Milano) is a former Carthusian monastery, or charterhouse, located on the outskirts of Milan, Italy, in the Garegnano district. It now houses a community of Capuchin Friars.

Milano Certosa is a surface railway station in Milan, Italy. The station is on the north-west part of the city between the Quarto Oggiaro and Musocco neighborhoods. Its name comes from the Certosa di Garegnano. The station is located on Via Antonio Mambretti. The train services are operated by Trenord. The station is the oldest still operating in Milan, and the only one established by the Austrian Empire before the unification of Italy.

The War Memorial of Musocco commemorates the fallen of old town of Musocco during the First World War. Musocco incorporated in Milan in 1923. It's located in Piazzale Santorre di Santarosa into Quartiere Varesina covering all the four directions of the square, and it's clearly visible along Viale Espinasse. The monument was inaugurated in 1924 and is the work of Ugo Prat. It stands on a plinth surmounted by an iron crown while in the west and east stand two statues of women in marble. On the base two bas-reliefs in bronze complete the work. A bed surrounds the monument and on it, under the statues, two commemorative stones list the names of the fallen. In 2008, after the plaques with the names of the fallen had become illegible, the monument was restored.

Musocco (Lombard: Musòcch [myˈzɔk]) is a district of Milan, located in the north-western outskirts of the city, belonging to Zone 8. Until 1923 Musocco was an independent comune, to whom also belonged the localities of Boldinasco, Garegnano, Quarto Oggiaro, Roserio and Vialba. The name comes from the word musa, which means marsh, indicating that the area was crossed by numerous streams and springs which formed overflowing of swamping. The main waterway is the river Pudiga. In Milan the name "Musocco" is also often referred to the Main Cemetery of Milan.

Palatrussardi, later known as PalaVobis, PalaTucker, Mazda Palace and PalaSharp, was an indoor arena located in Milan, Italy. The seating capacity was 8,479 and it hosted concerts and sporting events. It was built in 1985 to replace two pre-existing structures, the Sport Palace and the Palatenda.The arena hosted the 1987 Basketball Intercontinental Cup in which local Philips Milano defeated FC Barcelona and won the competition.

The Alfa Romeo Portello Plant in Portello Milan, Italy was the first Alfa Romeo factory, and the main factory between 1908 and the 1960s. The factory was closed in 1986 following FIAT's buyout of Alfa Romeo, but all major production had already been transferred 20 years earlier to the Alfa Romeo Arese Plant. The history of the factory is primarily involved in automobile manufacture, but over the years other products were manufactured as well.

Lampugnano is an underground station on Line 1 of the Milan Metro in Milan, Italy. The station was opened on 12 April 1980 as part of the extension from Lotto to San Leonardo. It is located on Via Giulio Natta, in the Lampugnano district, from which it takes its name. It is located near the Palasharp and the main terminal for intercity bus service. The station has a car park with 1830 parking spaces.

Vialba is a district ("quartiere") of Milan, Italy, part of the Zone 8 administrative division of the city. It is located north of the city centre, adjacent to the municipality (comune) of Novate Milanese. Until 1841, Vialba itself was an autonomous comune.

Uruguay is an underground station on Line 1 of the Milan Metro in Milan, Italy. The station was opened on 12 April 1980 as part of the extension from Lotto to San Leonardo. It is located between Via Benedetto Croce and Via Giacomo Quarenghi, near Via Uruguay.

QT8 is a district ("quartiere") of Milan, Italy, part of the Zone 8 administrative division of the city. The name formally stands for Quartiere Triennale 8, but the district is also simply referred to as QT8.QT8 developed from an experimental urbanization project that was conceived during the 8th edition of the Triennale di Milano design exhibition that was held in 1947, at the beginning of the reconstruction of Milan after World War II. Architect Piero Bottoni was the main promoter of the project, which included the realization of Monte Stella, an artificial hill made from the debris of the buildings that had collapsed during the war. Construction began in 1946 and 1947, with the reuse of several heterogeneous housing units. In 1948, the first four-story prefabricated houses in Italy were completed in QT8. Much effort was put into the realization of green areas such as playgrounds, neighbourhood gardens, and a 375,000 m² city park. As a result, QT8 is one of the greenest districts in Milan. The district is well connected to the city centre, by the Milan Metro subway as well as several bus lines.

QT8 is a station on Line 1 of the Milan Metro in Milan, Italy. The underground station was opened on 8 November 1975 as a one-station extension from Lotto. On 12 April 1980, the line was extended to San Leonardo. It is located at Piazza Santa Maria Nascente, in the QT8 district.
