Shastri Nagar is a mixed-used locality in Central Delhi district in City - S P Zone under the Jurisdiction of NDMC (North Delhi Municipal Corporation) in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. Shastri Nagar is one of the Category E residential colonies in Delhi. Shastri Nagar is part of the Sadar Bazar assembly constituency and Chandni Chowk parliamentary constituency. Shastri Nagar is located on the Veer Banda Bairagi Marg of DTC, and Red Line of DMRC (Shastri Nagar Metro Station). Daya Basti, Subzi Mandi and Sarai Rohilla railway stations connect the area with the Indian Railways Network.

Delhi Sarai Rohilla railway station (station code: DEE) is situated about 4 kilometres (2+1⁄2 mi) from old Delhi railway junction in India. It is managed by Delhi Division of Northern Railway zone. Many trains from Delhi to Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat stop at this station. More than twenty trains including Duronto and AC trains originate at this station.

Inderlok (formerly called Trinagar) is a Delhi Metro station located in Delhi, on the Red and Green Lines. It is a transfer station between the Red Line and the Green Line. The station is the terminal for the Green Line to Brigadier Hoshiyar Singh metro station, which is located in Bahadurgarh district of Haryana. One interesting thing about the Inderlok station is that the Green Line meets the Red Line perpendicularly here, unlike all the other interchange stations. This design choice ended the possibility of extending the line in the future (in this direction).

Roshanara Garden is a Mughal-era garden built by Roshanara Begum, the second daughter of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. It is one of the biggest gardens in Delhi having a great variety of plants, some imported from Japan. The lake inside the garden is visited by migratory birds during winters and is a popular site for bird watching.The garden has a raised canal with flowering plants on both sides. Today the garden holds a white marble pavilion built in memory of princess Roshanara, who died in 1671 and was buried there. The elite Roshanara Club, which was started here in 1922 by the British is spread over 22 acres. Since 1927 first class cricket is played at the Roshanara Club Ground, which now boasts floodlights. The club is considered the birthplace of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Post Independence cricket administrators gathered in front of an old fireplace and sowed the seeds of the Indian cricket body.
