Bjørvika is a neighborhood in the Sentrum borough of Oslo, Norway. The area is an inlet in the inner Oslofjord, situated between Gamlebyen and Akershus Fortress. It serves as an outlet for the river Akerselva. Since the 2000s, it has been undergoing urban redevelopment, being transformed from a container port. When completed, the Bjørvika neighborhood will be a new cultural and urban center in Oslo. The multi-purpose medium-rises of the Barcode Project dominates the skyline to the north; to the east the residential area of Sørenga is under construction. The National Opera is located at Bjørvika, and both the Oslo Public Library and the Munch/Stenersen museum is currently under construction here, the latter replacing the existing Munch Museum in 2020.

The Bjørvika Tunnel (Norwegian: Bjørvikatunnelen) is a motorway immersed tunnel on European Route E18 in the city center of Oslo, Norway. The tunnel has two bores, with three lanes in each. In the west, it connects to the Festning Tunnel at Akershus Fortress and runs under the Bjørvika arm of the Oslofjord before ending in an intersection on the east shore, where it splits into Mosseveien (E18) and the Ekeberg Tunnel (National Road 190). The tunnel is 1,100 metres (3,600 ft) long, 675 meters of which run below sea level, and opened in September 2010. It was built by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration The Bjørvika Tunnel is part of the Opera Tunnel complex which is the name of the interconnected system of tunnels between Ryen and Filipstad. The Bjørvika Tunnel is the first immersed tunnel in Norway. The tunnel's cost was estimated to be around 4.6 billion kr, and was financed through Oslo Package 1, with part of the funding coming from the city's toll ring. The project includes an additional 8.0 kilometres (5.0 mi) of roads, 5.7 kilometres (3.5 mi) of pedestrian and cycle paths and 3.5 kilometres (2.2 mi) of bus lanes. The project will create a 6.0 kilometres (3.7 mi) continuous tunnel from Framnes (at the Kiel ferry terminal) to Ryen. The connection with the Festning Tunnel will require a 100 metres (330 ft) sinking of the latter, and it will have a basement built under it.

The Opera Tunnel (Norwegian: Operatunnelen) is a motorway tunnel system under Oslo city center between Filipstad in the west and Ryen in the east. The tunnel consists of four parts built at different times. From west to east are the Festning Tunnel and Bjørvika Tunnel, which are part of European route E18, and the Ekeberg Tunnel and Svartdal Tunnel, which make up a branch of European Route E6. Between the Bjørvika Tunnel and Ekeberg Tunnel is a 111-metre (364 ft) long stretch in the open. The signposted length is 5,767 m (3.58 mi) and the tunnels have a combined length of 15,938 m (9.903 mi).

The Multilingual Library in Oslo, Norway (Norwegian: Det flerspråklige bibliotek) is a competence centre for multicultural library services, and acts as an advisor to libraries. The Multilingual Library purchases and lends out books, audio books, movies and music in the following languages: Albanian, Amharic, Arabic, Bosnian, Burmese, Dari, English, Finnish, French, Hausa, Hindi, Yoruba, Chinese, Croatian, Kurdish, Lithuanian, Dutch, Oromo, Punjabi, Pashto, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Shona, Somali, Spanish, Swahili, Tagalog, Tamil, Thai, Tigrinya, Chechen, Turkish, Twi, Hungarian, Urdu and Vietnamese.

The Oslo Opera House (Norwegian: Operahuset) is the home of the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, and the national opera theatre in Norway. The building is situated in the Bjørvika neighbourhood of central Oslo, at the head of the Oslofjord. It is operated by Statsbygg, the government agency which manages property for the Norwegian government. The structure contains 1,100 rooms in a total area of 49,000 m2 (530,000 sq ft). The main auditorium seats 1,364 and two other performance spaces can seat 200 and 400. The main stage is 16 m (52 ft) wide and 40 m (130 ft) deep. The angled exterior surfaces of the building are covered with marble from Carrara, Italy and white granite and make it appear to rise from the water. It is the largest cultural building constructed in Norway since Nidarosdomen was completed circa 1300.

The Norwegian National Opera and Ballet (Norwegian: Den Norske Opera & Ballett) is a Norwegian opera company and ballet company. The first fully professional company each for opera and ballet in Norway and the only such professional organisation in the country, it is currently resident at the Oslo Opera House, since the spring of 2008.

Oslo Stock Exchange (Norwegian: Oslo Børs) (OSE: OSLO) is a stock exchange within the Nordic countries and offers Norway’s only regulated markets for securities trading today. The stock exchange offers a full product range including equities, derivatives and fixed income instruments. The Euronext consortium of European stock exchanges controls Oslo Stock Exchange as of June 2019.

The Fjord City (Norwegian: Fjordbyen) is an urban renewal project for the waterfront part of the centre of Oslo, Norway. The first redevelopment was at Aker Brygge during the 1980s. Bjørvika and Tjuvholmen followed up during the 2000s, while the remaining parts of the Port of Oslo will be developed in the 2010s. The port will be relocated to Sørhavna. The planning is performed by the Oslo Waterfront Planning Office. Major investments in the area include a new Central Railway Station, an already completed Oslo Opera House, and the commercial buildings in the Barcode Project. Several large cultural institutions will be moved to Bjørvika, including moving the Oseberg Ship, Oslo Public Library, and the Munch Museum. The main barrier between the city and the fjord will disappear when European Route E18 is relocated to the Bjørvika Tunnel.

Havnelageret (also known as Oslo Havnelager) is a commercial building located at Langkaia 1 in Oslo, Norway. It houses Norwegian Defence Estates Agency as tenants. The Norwegian Intelligence Service also has its source archive (kildearkivet) there.

Munch/Stenersen (Norwegian: Munchmuseet) is a new building in Bjørvika, Oslo completed in 2020. The building was designed by Juan Herreros (Abalos & Herreros). There has been a lot of conflict around the building, considering both its design, functionality and height (14 floors/46 meters). The building lies next to the Oslo Opera building together with the upcoming Oslo Public Library complexes. The building is called "Lambda" by the architect/designer.

Munch Museum (Norwegian: Munch-museet), marketed as Munch (stylised as MUNCH) since 2020, is an art museum in Bjørvika, Oslo, Norway dedicated to the life and works of the Norwegian artist Edvard Munch.The museum was originally located at Tøyen, which was opened in 1963. The museum moved to the new museum building at Bjørvika, which was opened in 22 October 2021.

Oslo Central Station (Norwegian: Oslo sentralstasjon, abbreviated Oslo S) is the main railway station in Oslo, and the largest railway station within the entire Norwegian railway system. It connects with Jernbanetorget station. It's the terminus of Drammen Line, Gardermoen Line, Gjøvik Line, Hoved Line, Østfold Line and Follo Line. It serves express, regional and local rail services by four companies. The railway station is operated by Bane NOR while its real estate subsidiary, Bane NOR Eiendom owns the station, and was opened in 1980. Oslo Central Station was built on the site of the older Oslo East Station (Oslo Østbanestasjon, Oslo Ø), the combining of the former east and west stations being made possible by the opening of the Oslo Tunnel. Oslo Central Station has 19 tracks, 13 of which have connections through the Oslo Tunnel. The station has two buildings, the original Oslo East building and the newer main building for Oslo Central. Each building houses a large shopping centre. The square in front of the station is called Jernbanetorget.
