Khopat (Devnagari:खोपट) is an area located in the city of Thane, Maharashtra, India.

Thane district (Pronunciation: [ʈʰaːɳe], previously named Taana or Thana) is a district in the Konkan Division of Maharashtra, India. At the 2011 Census it was the most populated district in the country, with 11,060,148 inhabitants; however, in August 2014 the district was split into two with the creation of a new Palghar district, leaving the reduced Thane district with a 2011 Census population of 8,070,032. The headquarters of the district is the city of Thane. Other major cities in the district are Navi Mumbai, Kalyan-Dombivli, Mira-Bhayander, Bhiwandi, Ulhasnagar, Ambarnath, Badlapur, Murbad and Shahapur.The district is situated between 18°42' and 20°20' north latitudes and 72°45' and 73°48' east longitudes. The revised area of the district is 4,214 km2. The district is bounded by Nashik district to the north east, Pune and Ahmednagar districts to the east, and by Palghar district to the north. The Arabian Sea forms the western boundary, while it is bounded by Mumbai Suburban district to the south west, and Raigad District to the south.

Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School is a private co-educational LKG-15 dayschool in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, built by Gopal Krishna Singhania and named after his wife. Chandanwadi is a neighbourhood in Thane city of Maharashtra state in India. There are three lakes nearby, namely Kachrali Lake, Makhmali Lake, and Siddeshwar Lake. These lakes have been beautified as part of the cleansing and beautification of lakes in Thane city. Kachrali lake has been developed the most as it overlooks the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) building.

Vartak Nagar is a locality in Thane city of Maharashtra state in India. It's nearly 4.3 kilometers from Thane railway station. Pokhran Road No. 1 cuts through this locality to join Pokhran Road No. 2 at Upvan Lake. A major part of Vartak Nagar is covered by the 63-acre MHADA colony buildings. These buildings are largely occupied by industrial workers employed in manufacturing units in and around Thane.Most of the residents used to work in manufacturing units/factories around Vartak Nagar and other localities. Some of the renowned companies like Raymonds, Kores, Voltas, NRB Bearing, Blue Star and many others had their units in Vartak Nagar and adjoining areas.
