The Square de l'Aviation (Dutch: Luchtvaartsquare), meaning "Aviation Square", is a square located in the Brussels municipality of Anderlecht, Belgium. The Centre for Historical Research and Documentation on War and Contemporary Society (Cegesoma or CegeSoma) is located on this square. The Square de l'Aviation is bounded to the east by the Boulevard Poincaré/Poincarélaan and extended, to the west, by the Rue Lambert Crickx/Lambert Crickxstraat on the odd side and the Rue de l'Autonomie/Zelfbestuursstraat on the even side. The angle of the two streets forms a cutaway. This area is served by Brussels-South railway station.

Matteo Ricci College (French: Collège Matteo Ricci) is a Mixed Catholic secondary school in Anderlecht, Brussels, Belgium. It opened in September 2019 and is a Jesuit college, the first Jesuit school to be opened in Belgium in the 21st century. It is located on Boulevard Poincaré, 400 metres north east of Brussels-South railway station.

The Tour du Midi (French) or Zuidertoren (Dutch), both meaning South Tower, is a 38-storey, 148 m (486 ft) skyscraper constructed between 1962 and 1967 in Brussels, Belgium. The tower is the tallest building in Belgium, and was the tallest in the European Economic Community when it was built until it was surpassed by Tour Montparnasse in Paris in 1972. Tour du Midi stands adjacent to Brussels-South railway station. The building's facade was reclad in 1995-1996 with unitised glass panels using double glass solarbel silver, and it can accommodate about 2,500 office workers. It was built for the Belgian Pensions Administration, which still occupies it today.

The Place Anneessens (French) or Anneessensplein (Dutch) is a square in Brussels, Belgium. It is named in honour of François Anneessens, dean of the Nation of St. Christopher (one of the Guilds of Brussels), who was beheaded on the Grand Place (Brussels' main square) during a period of uprisings within the Austrian Netherlands.The square is located halfway down the Boulevard Maurice Lemonnier/Maurice Lemonnierlaan, in the Midi–Lemonnier or Stalingrad Quarter (southern part of the City of Brussels). It is served by the premetro (underground tram) station Anneessens on lines 3 and 4.

The Anneessens premetro station is an underground tram station in the municipality of the City of Brussels in the city center of Brussels, Belgium. The station is located under the Anneessens square along the Maurice Lemonnier boulevard. It is on the North-South Axis, a tram tunnel crossing the city center from the Brussels-North railway station to the Albert premetro station. Tram routes 3 and 4, as well as evening routes 31, 32 and 33 stop at this station.

It is named in honour of Nicolas-Jean Rouppe (1768–1838), the first mayor of the City of Brussels following the Belgian Revolution of 1830. The Marolles (French, French pronunciation: ​[maˈʁɔl]) or Marollen (Dutch, Dutch pronunciation: [maˈrɔlə(n)]) is a popular historic neighbourhood of downtown Brussels, Belgium, situated between the Palace of Justice and Brussels-South railway station. Its inhabitants are called Marolliens. Lying at the heart of Marolles are the Chapel Church and the Place du Jeu de Balle/Vossenplein. Major arteries of the district include the Rue Haute/Hoogstraat, the Rue Blaes/Blaesstraat and the Rue des Tanneurs/Huidevetterstraat. This area is served by Porte de Hal/Hallepoort metro station on lines 2 and 6 of the Brussels Metro. The traditional Brabantian dialect of Brussels (known as Brusselian, and also sometimes referred to as Marols or Marollien) was widely spoken in the Marolles until the 20th century. It still survives among a small minority of inhabitants called Brusseleers (or Brusseleirs), many of them quite bi- and multilingual in French and Dutch.

Brasserie-Brouwerij Cantillon ("Brewery Cantillon") is a small Belgian traditional family brewery based in Anderlecht, Brussels. Cantillon was founded in 1900 and brews exclusively lambic beers.
