Hauts-de-Seine (French pronunciation: [o d(ə) sɛn] (listen); lit. 'Upper Seine') is a department in the Île-de-France region, Northern France. It covers Paris's western inner suburbs. It is bordered by Paris, Seine-Saint-Denis and Val-de-Marne to the east, Val-d'Oise to the north, Yvelines to the west and Essonne to the south. With a population of 1,624,357 (as of 2019) and a total area of 176 square kilometres (68 square miles), it is the second most highly densely populated department of France after Paris. It is the fifth most populous department in France. Its prefecture is Nanterre although Boulogne-Billancourt, one of its two subprefectures alongside Antony, has a larger population. Hauts-de-Seine is best known for containing the modern office, cinema and shopping complex La Défense, one of Grand Paris's main economic centres and one of Europe's major business districts. Hauts-de-Seine is one of the wealthiest departments in France; it has the second highest GDP per capita in France at €106,800 in 2020. Its inhabitants are called Altoséquanais (masculine) and Altoséquanaises (feminine) in French.

Castel Henriette was a villa designed by the Art Nouveau architect Hector Guimard in Sèvres, France, in 1899. It was completed in 1900 and modified in 1903 with the removal of the look-out tower, and was demolished in 1969.

The American School of Paris (ASP), established in 1946, is a coeducational, independent international school in Saint-Cloud, France, in the Paris metropolitan area. Marnes-la-Coquette (French pronunciation: [maʁn la kɔkɛt] (listen)) is a commune in the western suburbs of Paris, France. Located 13.1 km (8.1 mi) from the centre of Paris, the town is situated in the Hauts-de-Seine department on the departmental border with Yvelines between the Parc de Saint-Cloud and the Forest of Fausses-Reposes. This heavily wooded town developed around the area of Villeneuve-l'Étang that belonged to Napoleon III. In 2019, the commune had a population of 1,774. Marnes-la-Coquette has the tenth-highest average household income in France, at €94,320 per year in 2020.

Chaville (French pronunciation: [ʃavil] ) is a commune in the Hauts-de-Seine department and Île-de-France region of north-central France. It lies some 12 km from the centre of Paris in the south-western suburbs of the French capital.

Lycée Jean Pierre Vernant is a senior high school/sixth-form college in Sèvres, Hauts-de-Seine, France, in the Paris metropolitan area. The school serves Sèvres, Chaville, Saint-Cloud, and Ville d'Avray.It was formerly known as the Lycée de Sèvres. As of 2016 it has 190 teachers and 1,972 students, with 1,522 secondary students and 450 in the superior (supérieur) level.

Sèvres (, French: [sɛvʁ] (listen)) is a commune in the southwestern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 9.9 kilometres (6.2 miles) from the centre of Paris, in the Hauts-de-Seine department, Île-de-France region. The commune, which had a population of 23,251 as of 2018, is known for its famous porcelain production at the Manufacture nationale de Sèvres, which was also where the Treaty of Sèvres (1920) was signed.

Internationale Deutsche Schule Paris (iDSP; French: École Allemande Internationale de Paris) is a German international school in Saint-Cloud, France, in the Paris metropolitan area. The school serves levels kindergarten through Sekundarstufe II.On 23 October 1958 the first stone for the school was laid. On 3 November of that year the school first opened in three YMCA-owned rooms in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, in proximity to Trocadéro. The school initially only had gymnasium classes. On 1 December 1959 the school moved into rented rooms in a villa in Neuilly-sur-Seine. The primary school opened on 1 March 1960. The primary classes were initially held in another location in the 16th arrondissement. In 1961 all levels of school moved to the current location, a villa in Saint-Cloud. The West German government had acquired the property.

Garches (French pronunciation: [ɡaʁʃ] (listen)) is a commune in the western suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 11.9 km (7.4 mi) from the centre of Paris. Garches has remained largely residential, but is also the location of Raymond Poincaré University Hospital, which specialises in traumatology, road accidents and physiotherapy.

The canton of Saint-Cloud is an administrative division of the Hauts-de-Seine department in northern France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Saint-Cloud.It consists of the following communes: Garches Marnes-la-Coquette Saint-Cloud Vaucresson Ville-d'Avray

The Château de Saint-Cloud was a château in France, built on a site overlooking the Seine at Saint-Cloud in Hauts-de-Seine, about 5 kilometres (3 miles) west of Paris. On the site of the former palace is the state-owned Parc de Saint-Cloud. The château was expanded by Phillipe of France, Duke of Orléans in the 17th century, and by Marie Antoinette in the 1780s. After occupation by Napoleon I and Napoleon III, it was destroyed in 1870 during the Franco-Prussian War.
