Dania Beach Hurricane was a wooden roller coaster next to the former flagship Boomers! amusement park in Dania Beach, Florida, United States. It was designed by the Stand Company and was built by Coaster Works. Built in 2000 at a cost of $4.5 million, it was Florida's third wooden roller coaster. The 3,200 ft (980 m) long out and back coaster reached a top speed of 55 mph (89 km/h). Despite being located next to the Boomers! park, it was operated by a separate entity named Dania Coaster Limited. Construction of the ride started in January 2000, and Dania Beach Hurricane opened on November 1, 2000, four months after it was scheduled to open. Over the course of its operation, five couples held their weddings on the Hurricane, and numerous television commercials were filmed there. The Hurricane ceased operation on April 26, 2011. The ride remained standing until 2016, when the Boomers! park was demolished for construction of a new shopping plaza.

Dania Beach (Dania until 1998) is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States. It is part of the South Florida metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, the city's population was 31,723. Dania Beach is the location of one of the largest jai alai frontons in the United States, The Casino at Dania Beach. It was formerly the location for two amusement centers; one named Boomers! (formerly Grand Prix Race-O-Rama), which housed the Dania Beach Hurricane roller coaster, and the other being Pirates World amusement park, which was featured in Barry Mahon's Thumbelina. It is also home to the International Game Fish Association Hall of Fame and Museum.

Fishermen who are sport fishers are careful to follow their stringent rules for fair play and line requirements in order to receive the honor of being listed in their annual "World Record Game Fishes" publication. The publication also gives fishing tips, and has an extensive fish identification guide. The IGFA is also an ardent proponent of aquatic habitat conservation, and cooperates with biologists all over the world. It is considered the world's governing body for sport fishing.IGFA is headquartered in Dania Beach, Florida.

St. Ruth Missionary Baptist Church is an historic church in Dania Beach, Florida. Founded by Charlie Chambers in 1908, it was the first black church in Dania and housed the first "colored" school in the town.: 47 The first sanctuary was a small house on NW 4th Avenue, built by "Charlie Chambers along with a few faithful followers...from lumber found in the Atlantic Ocean." He named it after his daughter. The first school class had nine students. The sanctuary was moved in 1920 to NW 5th Avenue. That building was destroyed completely in the 1926 Miami hurricane, but was rebuilt. Beginning in 1948 W.C. Edcar was the pastor; he retired in 1992. In 1957 there was a new building. In 2016 the pastor was J.C. Howard.

The Nyberg-Swanson House (also known as the Charles Nelson House) is a historic home in Dania Beach, Florida. It is located at 102 West Dania Beach Boulevard. On May 28, 1999, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

North Woodlawn Cemetery, an African-American cemetery located east of Interstate 95 near Sunrise Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on 29 November 2017. Founded in the 1920s, lynch victim Reuben Stacey was buried there in 1935. An area that may have been unmarked graves was built over in the construction of Interstate 95 in the 1970s. Another section of unmarked graves of infants may have been paved over in 1995. Burials no longer take place there. Maintained by the City of Fort Lauderdale, it was restored in 2002.

Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport at Dania Beach, or more commonly Fort Lauderdale Airport, is a Tri-Rail commuter rail station in Dania Beach, Florida, located just west of Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport. The station is located at Gulfstream Way, just west of the confluence of I-95 and Griffin Road (SR 818). Opened on August 14, 2000, the current station replaced the original and now-demolished Fort Lauderdale Airport station 0.7 miles/1.1 km to the south, which operated from 1989 through 2000 and which had previously served as the Dania Seaboard Air Line Railway station. When the Tri-Rail system was first under construction, the station was located directly west of the airport's main runway, west of and next to I-95. However, concerns by the Federal Aviation Administration about the height of the platform when planes were on approach prevented the station from ever being opened and moved to the Tigertail Avenue location. Remnants of both defunct stations remain adjacent to the tracks.

Sheridan Street is a Tri-Rail commuter rail station in Hollywood, Florida. The station is located near the intersection of Sheridan Street (SR 822) and North 29th Avenue, just west of Interstate 95 at Exit 21. The station opened to service March 15, 1996. A large park and ride lot is located at this station.

The Holocaust Documentation & Education Center, located at 303 N. Federal Highway, Dania Beach, Florida, was founded in 1980. The Center is raising funds to build the first South Florida Holocaust Museum, which will – uniquely for a museum of this type – serve both the Spanish- and the English-speaking public. After vacating its previous location, a three-story building at 2031 Harrison Street in Hollywood, Florida, it moved into its current location, a 25,000-square-foot facility, on September 28, 2016.

It now serves as a neighborhood that is split between Hollywood, Florida and Dania Beach, Florida. Contrary to its name, it is not part of Fort Lauderdale.
