The Rustic Inn is a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the United States. It was established in 1955 by Henry Oreal and his brother-in-law Burton Wayne McDonald.The restaurant features waterfront dining on a dock. It also has a barge, cocktail lounge, and dining room.

Dania Beach Hurricane was a wooden roller coaster next to the former flagship Boomers! amusement park in Dania Beach, Florida, United States. It was designed by the Stand Company and was built by Coaster Works. Built in 2000 at a cost of $4.5 million, it was Florida's third wooden roller coaster. The 3,200 ft (980 m) long out and back coaster reached a top speed of 55 mph (89 km/h). Despite being located next to the Boomers! park, it was operated by a separate entity named Dania Coaster Limited. Construction of the ride started in January 2000, and Dania Beach Hurricane opened on November 1, 2000, four months after it was scheduled to open. Over the course of its operation, five couples held their weddings on the Hurricane, and numerous television commercials were filmed there. The Hurricane ceased operation on April 26, 2011. The ride remained standing until 2016, when the Boomers! park was demolished for construction of a new shopping plaza.

The Link Trainer Building (also known as the Fort Lauderdale USNAS Building #8 and currently the Naval Air Station Fort Lauderdale Museum) is an historic structure in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. On May 20, 1998, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.The wood frame vernacular building was part of the Naval Air Station Fort Lauderdale (NAS Ft Lauderdale). It was used to train torpedo bomber pilots during World War II using Link Trainer flight simulators. As of 2018 the building serves as the Naval Station Fort Lauderdale Museum.

Dania Beach (Dania until 1998) is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States. It is part of the South Florida metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, the city's population was 31,723. Dania Beach is the location of one of the largest jai alai frontons in the United States, The Casino at Dania Beach. It was formerly the location for two amusement centers; one named Boomers! (formerly Grand Prix Race-O-Rama), which housed the Dania Beach Hurricane roller coaster, and the other being Pirates World amusement park, which was featured in Barry Mahon's Thumbelina. It is also home to the International Game Fish Association Hall of Fame and Museum.

It is one of three airports serving the Miami metropolitan area. The airport is off Interstate 595, Interstate 95, U.S. Route 1, Florida State Road A1A, and Florida State Road 5 bounded by the cities Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, and Dania Beach, 3 miles (5 km) southwest of downtown Fort Lauderdale and 21 miles (34 km) north of Miami.With over 700 daily flights to 135 domestic and international destinations, FLL has become an intercontinental gateway since the late 1990s, although Miami International Airport still handles most long-haul flights. FLL serves as a primary airport for the Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Coral Springs, and Boca Raton areas, and a secondary airport for parts of Miami and areas north of Boca Raton for flights that are not served by Palm Beach International Airport, such as Delray Beach, Jupiter, Boynton Beach, and West Palm Beach. The airport is a base for Allegiant Air, JetBlue and Spirit Airlines, the latter of which has its corporate headquarters nearby in the suburb of Miramar, Florida. In addition, FLL is the primary South Florida airport for Southwest Airlines (although Southwest also serves both Miami and Palm Beach) with the majority of Southwest flights currently serving Fort Lauderdale. FLL is classified by the US Federal Aviation Administration as a "major hub" facility serving commercial air traffic.

On October 29, 2015, Dynamic Airways Flight 405, a Boeing 767 on a scheduled passenger service from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Caracas, Venezuela, suffered a fire while taxiing for departure. All 101 passengers and crew evacuated the aircraft and survived, but twenty-two of them were injured.

Naval Air Station Fort Lauderdale was an airfield of the United States Navy just outside Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 1942, the U.S. Navy selected Merle Fogg Airport in Fort Lauderdale to expand into a naval air station for both pilot and enlisted aircrew training (i.e., gunners, radiomen) in Grumman TBF Avenger torpedo bombers flown by carrier-based US Navy flight crews and by land-based US Marine Corps flight crews ashore. Additional facilities were used to train aircraft maintenance and other ground crew support for the TBF and TBM series aircraft. Among the Avenger pilots who graduated NAS Fort Lauderdale was former President George H. W. Bush, from a class in 1943.Several airfields in the immediate vicinity of NAS Fort Lauderdale were commissioned as Navy satellite airfields, also known as Naval outlying landing fields (NOLF). Several of these fields continue in operation today as civilian airports, such as Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport and North Perry Airport. TBF /TBM training was difficult and dangerous. From 1942 through 1946, 94 trainees lost their lives while serving at NAS Fort Lauderdale. Fourteen of those men made up a five-aircraft flight, now known as Flight 19, that disappeared while on a routine training mission on December 5, 1945. The need to train Avenger crews having passed, the station was decommissioned after 1946 and the facility was conveyed to the government of Broward County, Florida for use as a civilian airport. Today the facility is known as Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The NASFL also houses one of the last Link Trainers the Navy used in WW2 to train pilots how to fly.

It now serves as a neighborhood that is split between Hollywood, Florida and Dania Beach, Florida. Contrary to its name, it is not part of Fort Lauderdale.

St. Ruth Missionary Baptist Church is an historic church in Dania Beach, Florida. Founded by Charlie Chambers in 1908, it was the first black church in Dania and housed the first "colored" school in the town.: 47 The first sanctuary was a small house on NW 4th Avenue, built by "Charlie Chambers along with a few faithful followers...from lumber found in the Atlantic Ocean." He named it after his daughter. The first school class had nine students. The sanctuary was moved in 1920 to NW 5th Avenue. That building was destroyed completely in the 1926 Miami hurricane, but was rebuilt. Beginning in 1948 W.C. Edcar was the pastor; he retired in 1992. In 1957 there was a new building. In 2016 the pastor was J.C. Howard.
