Raggedstone Hill

Whiteleaved Oak is a hamlet in the English county of Herefordshire, lying in a valley at the southern end of the Malvern Hills between Raggedstone Hill and Chase End Hill where the counties of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire meet. It was home to a 500-year-old oak tree, which was thought to be sacred. On 9 July 2020, the tree was destroyed by a fire which broke out due to lanterns being hung on its branches.

Midsummer Hill is situated in the range of Malvern Hills that runs approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) north-south along the Herefordshire-Worcestershire border. It lies to the south of Herefordshire Beacon with views to Eastnor Castle. It has an elevation of 284 metres (932 ft). To the north is Swinyard Hill. It is the site of an Iron Age hill fort which spans Midsummer Hill and Hollybush Hill. The hillfort is protected as a Scheduled Ancient Monument and is owned by Natural England. It can be accessed via a footpath which leads south from the car park at British Camp on the A449 or a footpath which heads north from the car park in Hollybush on the A438.

Hollybush Hill is situated in the range of Malvern Hills that runs approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) north–south along the Herefordshire–Worcestershire border. It lies to the east of Midsummer Hill. It has an elevation of 242 metres (794 ft).

Hollybush is a small village in Worcestershire at the southern end of the Malvern Hills and close to the borders of both Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. There is a small church, All Saints, and village hall but no shop or pub. The post office closed some years back as did the stone quarry.

Bronsil Castle was a fortified manor house about 1 mile (1.6 km) to the east of Eastnor in Herefordshire, England near Ledbury). It is a Grade II* listed building, first listed in 1967.The first record of Bronsil Castle is around 1240, but no description of the structure at that time is given. In 1449 and again in 1460 Richard Beauchamp, Treasurer to Henry VI, was given licence to crenellate his house on the site. In 1644 during the Civil War it was taken and set alight by the Roundheads. The remains indicate that the manor house was four-sided, with corner and mid-wall tower fortifications. There is an extant moat that surrounds the castle, spanned by a late 19th century bridge. Cracking to the gatehouse tower was noticed in 1990, and during the erection of scaffolding for consolidation works in 1991, much of the tower collapsed into the moat.

Swinyard Hill is a hill in the Malvern Range, a line of hills that runs approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) north-south along the Herefordshire-Worcestershire border. Swinyard Hill lies north of Midsummer Hill and south of Hangmans Hill. It has an elevation of 272 metres (892 ft).

Rye Cross is a hamlet in south-west Worcestershire 1 mile west of Castlemorton, 0.5 miles east of Berrow and 1 mile south of Hollybush, near the borders of Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. Eastnor Castle and the towns of Malvern, and Ledbury are nearby. There are several traditional English pubs in the area.

Electromagnetic Field (also known as EMF, or EMF Camp) is a camping festival in the UK, held every two years, for hackers, geeks, engineers and scientists. It features talks and workshops covering a wide variety of topics. EMF is a non-profit event run entirely by a team of volunteers.Attendees of EMF receive an electronic conference badge, funded by sponsorship, which in 2014 included an LCD screen, Arduino-compatible microcontroller, and a radio transceiver.

Mountain Mayhem is a 24-hour mountain bike race held in the UK. It has been held annually since 1998 and usually occurs on the weekend nearest to midsummer. In 2013 the event moved to Gatcombe Park in Gloucestershire, and in 2019 the event was held at Marston Lodge in rural Northamptonshire.

British Camp is an Iron Age hill fort located at the top of Herefordshire Beacon in the Malvern Hills. The hill fort is protected as a Scheduled Ancient Monument and is owned and maintained by Malvern Hills Conservators. The fort is thought to have been first constructed in the 2nd century BC. A Norman castle was built on the site. The extensive earthworks remain clearly visible today and determine the shape of the hill. The height of the summit of British Camp is 1,109 feet (338 m).

The Herefordshire Beacon is one of the highest peaks of the Malvern Hills. It is surrounded by a British Iron Age hill fort earthwork known as British Camp. The fort subsequently had a ringwork and bailey castle built inside its boundary and there is evidence of 120 huts in the area. British Camp has been a scheduled monument since 1923. On the eastern slope of Herefordshire Beacon, there is a disused reservoir, British Camp Reservoir, which holds approximately 213,000 cubic metres (7,500,000 cu ft) of water.

Hollybed Farm Meadows is nature reserve of the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, about 1 mile (1.6 km) west of the village of Castlemorton, in Worcestershire, England. The habitat is grassland.
