The Ginninderra electorate is one of the five electorates for the unicameral 25-member Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly. It elects five members.

HNK O’Connor Knights FC (also known simply as O'Connor Knights) is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in the northern Canberra suburb of O'Connor, Australian Capital Territory. St Francis Xavier College (abbreviated SFX) is a coeducational, systemic Catholic high school and college in Florey, Australian Capital Territory, Australia.The college caters for years 7 to 12 from the Belconnen and Gungahlin areas and is part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Catholic Education System. The school is named after Saint Francis Xavier of Spain, who was a Jesuit Missionary who spread the Christian message in India and parts of Japan.

The suburb itself is named after Howard Florey, Baron Florey, who shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1945 for his role in the extraction of penicillin. Weetangera () is a suburb in the Belconnen district of Canberra, located within the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. The suburb covers an area of approximately 158 hectares (390 acres). Located approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) north-west of the city, Weetangera is bounded by Springvale Drive to the south and west, Coulter Drive to the east and Belconnen Way to the north. The Pinnacle Nature Reserve, a Canberra Nature Park is adjacent to the south of the suburb, across Springvale Drive.

Ginninderra Creek, a partly perennial stream of the Murrumbidgee catchment within the Murray–Darling basin, is located in the Capital Country region spanning both the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales, Australia. Ginninderra is derived from the Aboriginal word, meaning "sparkling" or "throwing little rays of light". The traditional custodians of the land surrounding Ginninderra Creek are the Aboriginal people of the Ngunnawal tribe.
