LaSalle College Vancouver (formerly the Art Institute of Vancouver) is a Canadian-owned private post-secondary arts and design school located in Vancouver, British Columbia. The school provides education in fashion, culinary, interior design, graphic design, audio & film, and game design & VFX. LaSalle College Vancouver is part of the LCI Education network of schools which encompasses 23 campuses around the world. These specialize mainly in design education and include LaSalle College Montreal, LCI Barcelona in Spain, LCI Melbourne in Australia, and LCI Bogota in Colombia, among others. The school is a registered post-secondary institution and is designated by the Private Training Institutions Branch of the Ministry of Advanced Education of British Columbia.

VIVO Media Arts Centre, run under the Satellite Video Exchange Society, (SVES) is an artist-run centre and video distribution library located in Vancouver, Canada. It was founded in 1973 to promote the non-commercial use of video technology by providing international and educational video exchange through a public video library. Its mission has then been expanded to provide equipment rentals, artist workshops, and provide information to the public about media arts.

The Italian Cultural Centre (Il Centro) is located at 3075 Slocan Street, in East Vancouver, Canada, on Slocan Street at Grandview Highway. Situated on a hillcrest, the station provides riders with a view of the west side and Downtown Vancouver.

Filipino Plaza is a landscaped park located on Vanness Avenue, west of SkyTrain's Nanaimo Station in the city of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The open park, sometimes referred to as a linear park, is located underneath the SkyTrain Expo Line, and was one of the dozens of open parks built in 1986 as part of BC Transit's Parkway Program showcasing different cultural parks on the 26-kilometre path that parallels the SkyTrain. Many ethnic communities created legacies on the linear park under the Skytrain in 1986.Designed by architect Bert Morelos, the park consists of a wooden arch, a very distinctive and colourful Sarimanok logo, and two walls made up of 2,000 red bricks donated by Filipino-Canadians representing the pioneers of the plaza.Construction of the park was made possible with the bayanihan spirit of Filipino-Canadian members of the "Filipino Plaza Committee of 1985." The designer of the Sarimanok logo and the park itself was Filipino. The committee led the effort of the many Filipino in raising enough money for the plaza.In 2010, a Filipino Plaza Committee was formed to handle proposed improvements.
