Battle of Nesjar

Håøya is an island in Porsgrunn Municipality in Telemark county, Norway. The 2.4-square-kilometre (0.93 sq mi) island is located in the Langesundsfjorden, about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) east of the town of Langesund (in Bamble Municipality). About 1.8 square kilometres (0.69 sq mi) of the island (most of the island) is protected as a nature reserve. Håøya nature reserve was established in 2002 to preserve a coastal landscape with a large variety of little affected forest types, including the southernmost natural beech forest in the country. Historically, the island had permanent residents and its own school. Today, there are no permanent residents, but there are many holiday cottages for vacationers. The island is known for having summer camps arranged by Oluf Reed-Olsen.

Arøya is a group of three small islands in Larvik Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. They are located in the outer part of the Langesundsfjorden approximately midway between the town of Langesund (in Bamble Municipality in Telemark) and the village of Helgeroa in Larvik. The three islands are named Store Arøya, Lille Arøya, and Vesle Arøya ('Big', 'Small' and 'Tiny' Arøya). The islands of Arøya are a recreational cottage area for the population in the Grenland, Vestfold, and even as far away as Oslo, about a 90-minute drive away. There are still a few families residing on the islands, where fishing is the prime source of income. In the summer season, a local ferry (Skjæløy) connects Helgeroa with Langesund. The ferry makes several stops on the islands. The trip is frequently used by tourists going roundtrip for a great view of the area. Bikers also use the ferry as a shortcut connection to the southern shores of Norway.

Helgeroa is a village in Larvik Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The village is located along the Helgerofjorden at the Skaggerak coast in southwestern Vestfold. It is located about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) to the north of the village of Nevlunghavn and about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) southwest of the town of Larvik. Nevlunghavn and neighboring Helgeroa have grown together through conurbation so that Statistics Norway considers them to form one urban area. The statistics about the two villages are no longer tracked separately. The 1.66-square-kilometre (410-acre) urban area has a population (2022) of 1,962 and a population density of 1,185 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,070/sq mi).

Berg Arbeidskirke (lit. 'Berg working church') is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Larvik Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. It is located in the village of Helgeroa. It is one of the churches for the Berg parish which is part of the Larvik prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Tunsberg. The brick church was built in a rectangular design in 2007 using plans drawn up by the architect Reidar Aasen from the architectural firm Børve og Bochsenius. The church seats about 200 people.

Nevlunghavn (sometimes also spelled Nevlunghamn) is a village in Larvik Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The village is located along the Skaggerak coast in the Brunlanes area of Larvik. It is located about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) to the south of the village of Helgeroa and about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) west of the town of Stavern. Nevlunghavn and neighboring Helgeroa have grown together through conurbation so that Statistics Norway considers them to form one urban area. Nevlunghavn is the southernmost point in Vestfold County, excluding islands, islets and skerries. It was located in southern Brunlanes municipality until 1988 when it became part of Larvik Municipality.

The town of Stathelle lies about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) to the northwest. The 0.88-square-kilometre (220-acre) town was established as a ladested in 1765 and on 1 January 1838 it became a self-governing municipality. In 1964, it became part of Bamble Municipality.For a long time, Langesund and neighboring Stathelle have been grouped together as part of the Porsgrunn/Skien metropolitan area and because of this, the population and area data for this town has not been separately tracked by Statistics Norway. What is tracked, is the portion of the metropolitan area located in Bamble Municipality. In 2022, the Langesund/Stathelle area in Bamble measured 6.34 square kilometres (1,570 acres) and together they had a population of 10,276 with a population density of 1,622 inhabitants per square kilometre (4,200/sq mi).It is possible to visit the remains of the old Coastal Fortress on Langesundstangen on the extreme end of the Langesund peninsula. The fort was established during the Second World War by Nazi Germany and later used by the Norwegian Coastal Artillery and Home Guard until 1993. Langesund is one of the most celebrated summer towns in Norway because of the large number of sunny days. It is also well known for Wrightegaarden, a building that hosts outdoor concerts every weekend the whole summer. Artists like Bob Dylan, A-ha, Elton John and Little Richard have played in Wrightegaarden. Langesund marks the border between Ytre Oslofjord and Skagerrak.

It is the church for the Langesund parish which is part of the Bamble prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white, brick church was built in a rectangular design in 1992 using plans drawn up by the architect Tor Arild Danielsen. The church seats about 340 people.

Berg Church (Norwegian: Berg kirke or Berg trekirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Larvik Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. It is located in the village of Berg. It is one of the churches for the Berg parish which is part of the Larvik prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Tunsberg. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1878 using plans drawn up by the architect J.H. Nissen. The church seats about 305 people.

Old Berg Church (Norwegian: Berg gamle kirke) is a historic parish church of the Church of Norway in Larvik Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. It is located in the village of Berg. It is the former church for the Berg parish which is part of the Larvik prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Tunsberg. Now, it is a preserved church that is occasionally used by the parish, but it has not been in regular use since 1878. The gray and brown stone church was built in a long church design around the year 1100 using plans drawn up by an unknown architect. The church seats about 122 people.

Langangen is a village in Porsgrunn Municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. The village is located in the far eastern part of the municipality, just before the border with neighboring Larvik Municipality, about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) to the southeast of the town of Porsgrunn. Langangen has its own elementary school and Langangen Church.The 0.43-square-kilometre (110-acre) village has a population (2022) of 465 and a population density of 1,074 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,780/sq mi).The European route E18 highway historically passed through the middle of the village, but in 1979 the road was re-routed over a new Langangen bridge further to the north.
