East Side Presbyterian Church, now known as Parsells Avenue Community Church, is a historic Presbyterian church located in the Beechwood neighborhood of Rochester, Monroe County, New York. The church was built in 1925-1925 and is a large rectangular brick building with cast stone trim in the Romanesque Revival style. The church features a tall engaged square tower with an octagonal cupola at its northwest corner. Attached to the church is a two-story education wing constructed between 1909 and 1911. It housed the original church and is also in the Romanesque Revival style.The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Culver Field is a former baseball ground located in Rochester, New York. Located at the northwest corner of University Avenue and Culver Road, Culver Field was home of the Rochester Broncos from 1886 until it burned down on October 8, 1893. [Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, October 9, 1893, p.10] Re-built for the 1898 season, the new Culver Field played host to the newly named Rochester Beau Brummels for a decade. However, the right field bleachers collapsed May 19, 1906, leading to dozens of injuries and lawsuits. [Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, May 20, 1906, p.21] After the 1907 season, the ballpark was acquired by Gleason Works, which turned the site into the plant that stands to this day.Late in the 1898 season, three neutral-site games were played in Rochester, between the Brooklyn Dodgers and Cleveland Spiders of the National League. The games of August 27 and 29 were played at Culver Field.[1] The game of the 28th (a Sunday) was played at the Ontario Beach Grounds in the Charlotte section of the city.[2]

Asbury First United Methodist Church is located on East Avenue in Rochester, New York, United States. It traces its heritage to several Rochester congregations dating back to the 1820s. In its current form, it is the result of a 1934 merger of First Church and Asbury Methodist Episcopal Church. With a congregation of 2,300 people, it is the largest United Methodist church in the Rochester area.Asbury First presents an annual concert series featuring regional musicians and national touring groups. The Asbury First Dining and Caring Center serves meals to the homeless; the Asbury First Storehouse provides donated clothing, kitchenware, and bedding. The church also supports a Grocery Bag Ministry, Rochester Area Interfaith Hospitality Network, School 41 tutoring and outreach, and projects in India, Nicaragua, and Kenya. Located in the East Avenue Historic District, the church property features several historic buildings, including the 1953 Gothic Sanctuary, and 1050 East Ave., also called the Wilson Soule House, a stone edifice that is one of Rochester's finest examples of Richardsonian Romanesque style.

Saint Mark's and Saint John's Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. Completed in 1928, it is architecturally significant as an intact representative example of simple Gothic inspired Arts and Crafts design applied to a neighborhood church edifice.It was designed by architects Gordon and Kaelber.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

The Dryden Theatre is located at the George Eastman Museum, near Rochester, New York in the United States. The theater is the primary exhibition space for showcasing the museum's collection of motion pictures, recent restorations, as well as traveling exhibitions and premieres of new foreign and independent films. To date, more than 16,000 film titles have been screened at the theater.The Dryden Theatre was constructed in 1951 after a donation from George and Ellen Dryden, George Eastman's niece. The first film to be shown at the Dryden was Jean Renoir’s silent film Nana (1924). The museum's founding film curator James Card (1915–2000) was a pioneer in the archival world and a close friend and confidant of Henri Langlois of the Cinémathèque Française in Paris. Together, they helped contribute to the appreciation of film as an art form. As of 2021, the Dryden Theatre is one of only a handful in the world certified to project nitrate film and annually hosts the Nitrate Picture Show, a film festival devoted to screening original nitrate film prints.

The George Eastman Museum, also referred to as George Eastman House, International Museum of Photography and Film, is the world's oldest museum dedicated to photography and one of the world's oldest film archives, opened to the public in 1949 in Rochester, New York. World-renowned for its collections in the fields of photography and cinema, the museum is also a leader in film preservation and photograph conservation, educating archivists and conservators from around the world. Home to the 500-seat Dryden Theatre, the museum is located on the estate of entrepreneur and philanthropist George Eastman, the founder of Eastman Kodak Company. The estate was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1966.

East Avenue Historic District is a national historic district located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The district consists of a series of large 19th and early 20th century homes, houses of worship, meeting houses, and museums. It contains approximately 700 structures. Notable structures in the district include the Hiram W. Sibley House (1868), home of Hiram Sibley; Edward E. Boynton House (1909), Rochester's only work by Frank Lloyd Wright; the Culver House (1805–1816), moved to its present site in 1906; and the Strong-Todd House (1901), once occupied by Henry A. Strong.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.The George Eastman House is a National Historic Landmark located within the district.

The Episcopal Diocese of Rochester is the diocese of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America with jurisdiction over eight counties in west central New York. It is bounded on the north by Lake Ontario, on the east by the Episcopal Diocese of Central New York, on the south by the Episcopal Diocese of Central Pennsylvania and on the west by the Episcopal Diocese of Western New York. It is in Province 2 and has no cathedral. Its diocesan offices are in Henrietta, New York.

The Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage (OSTM) was a private for-profit massage school with campuses in Syracuse and Rochester, New York. Founded by Douglas Van D’Elia and Elizabeth Goldenberg, the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage was approved by the New York State Department of Education in 1997. The school was named after the region where the first campus is located, the Onondaga County region of New York. A branch campus opened in Rochester, NY, Monroe County, New York in 2000. The Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage closed its doors December 10th, 2021 at both the Syracuse and Rochester locations. A buyer was looking into buying the Rochester location and reopening, but nothing ever came of that and the website no longer exists. OSTM provided students with a massage therapy education through the New York State Department of Education. After completion of a 1,000 hour program (over 6, 12 or 15 months), graduates were eligible to take the New York State Board examination for licensure in Massage Therapy .Per New York State requirements, students complete 1000 hours of massage therapy education, including: Anatomy and physiology with Neurology Myology Pathology Swedish massage Shiatsu Sports massage Energy Work Other coursework (Business, Law, Pregnancy Massage, Chair Massage, Treatment Techniques, CPR/First Aid, etc.)
