The Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute, originally known as the Tennessee Hospital for the Insane and later as the Central State Hospital for the Insane, was a psychiatric hospital located in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Hays-Kiser House is a historic house in Antioch, Tennessee, U.S.. It was built in 1795 for Charles Hays, a settler from North Carolina. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since September 10, 1974.

The Ellis Service Station Garage, or Ellis Garage, at 2000 Old Murfreesboro Rd. in Nashville, Tennessee, was built in 1929. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.It was located in the community of Una which used to be about seven miles away from the city limits of Nashville, but has been absorbed into the growing city.It is a one-story 35 by 40 feet (11 m × 12 m) building which is significant architecturally as "a vernacular adaption of a gas station form known as the 'house with bays,' a building type defined by historical geographer John Jakle in his 1975 study of gasoline stations. Jakle's article, "The American Gasoline Station, 1920 to 1970," created a typology for gasoline station identification and analysis that has been generally accepted by geographers, historians, and preservationists ever since."

Genesco Inc. is an American publicly owned specialty retailer of branded footwear and accessories and is a wholesaler of branded and licensed footwear based in Nashville, Tennessee. Founded as the Jarman Shoe Company in 1924 as a footwear manufacturer, the company changed its name to the General Shoe Company in 1931 and became a public company in 1939. The company took its current name, Genesco, in 1959. Genesco exited footwear manufacturing in 2002 and now contracts with independent, third parties located outside the United States to manufacture its branded and licensed footwear. In June 2011, Genesco acquired U.K. retail chain and web business Schuh, which gave them an already well-established grounding in a market outside of the U.S.

Antioch is a neighborhood of Nashville located approximately 12 miles (19 km) southeast of Downtown Nashville. It is served by the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.

Nashville International Airport (IATA: BNA, ICAO: KBNA, FAA LID: BNA) is a public/military airport in the southeastern section of Nashville, Tennessee, United States. Established in 1937, its original name was Berry Field, from which its ICAO and IATA identifiers are derived. The current terminal was built in 1987, and the airport took its current name in 1988. Nashville International Airport has four runways and covers 4,555 acres (1,843 ha) of land. It is by far the busiest airport in Tennessee, with more boardings and arrivals than all other airports in the state combined. The airport was first served by American Airlines and Eastern Air Lines, and was a hub for American in the late 20th century. The airport is now offers service to 99 destinations across the United States as well as a number of international destinations including London's Heathrow Airport on British Airways. In fiscal year 2022, it averaged 600 daily aircraft movements.Joint Base Berry Field, formerly Berry Field Air National Guard Base, is located at Nashville International Airport. The base is home to the 118th Wing and the 1/230th Air Cavalry Squadron Tennessee Army National Guard.

Global Mall at the Crossings (formerly Hickory Hollow Mall) was a 1.1 million-square-foot (102,193-square-meter) regional indoor shopping mall in the Nashville neighborhood of Antioch, Tennessee, located just east of I-24 at exit 59 along Bell Road (Route 254). The shopping center was inaugurated on August 11, 1978, and flourished for three decades, containing 249 stores during its heyday as the largest and highest-grossing mall in Tennessee.Many factors led to its decline during the late 2000s, plummeting to a mere 12 retailers by the year 2012, earning its status as a dead mall. Between 2012 and 2016, over $50 million was invested in revitalizing the Hickory Hollow property and 58 tenants occupied the internationally-themed mall (47.8% occupancy) by 2016. On June 1, 2019, a sign was posted at the main entrance indicating the mall was closed. It has not reopened since.

Harding Mall was a shopping mall located in suburban Nashville, Tennessee, United States. It was southeast of downtown at the corner of Nolensville Pike US 31A/US 41A and Harding Place (SR 255) in the Paragon Mills neighborhood. Built in 1966, it was demolished in 2005 for a Walmart. Harding Mall is notable for being the first enclosed shopping mall in the state of Tennessee.

Glencliff High School is an American public high school in Nashville, Tennessee. It was built in 1957 and added onto in 1977.

Mill Creek is a 27.9-mile-long (44.9 km) tributary of the Cumberland River that extends through Williamson and Davidson counties in the U.S. state of Tennessee. Via the Cumberland and Ohio rivers, it is part of the Mississippi River watershed. The creek begins near Nolensville, Tennessee, and continues into Metropolitan Nashville, winding through the Antioch, Cane Ridge, South Nashville, and Donelson neighborhoods, before flowing into the Cumberland about 2 miles (3 km) upstream from downtown Nashville. It is prone to flooding, and was the first site of major flooding during the 2010 Tennessee floods. At least five people were killed as a result of the creek's raging flash flood, and millions of dollars of property damage was reported along Mill Creek. Mill Creek is the only known habitat in the world for the endangered Nashville Crayfish.

Gibson Brands Inc. (formerly Gibson Guitar Corporation) is an American manufacturer of guitars, other musical instruments, and professional audio equipment from Kalamazoo, Michigan, and now based in Nashville, Tennessee. The company was formerly known as Gibson Guitar Corporation and renamed Gibson Brands Inc. on June 11, 2013.Orville Gibson started making instruments in 1894 and founded the company in 1902 as the Gibson Mandolin-Guitar Mfg. Co. Ltd. in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to make mandolin-family instruments. Gibson invented archtop guitars by constructing the same type of carved, arched tops used on violins. By the 1930s, the company was also making flattop acoustic guitars, as well as one of the first commercially available hollow-body electric guitars, used and popularized by Charlie Christian. In 1944, Gibson was bought by Chicago Musical Instruments (CMI), which was acquired in 1969 by Panama-based conglomerate Ecuadorian Company Limited (ECL), that changed its name in the same year to Norlin Corporation. Gibson was owned by Norlin Corporation from 1969 to 1986. In 1986, the company was acquired by a group led by Henry Juszkiewicz and David H. Berryman. In November 2018, the company was acquired by a group of investors led by private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts. Gibson sells guitars under a variety of brand names and builds one of the world's best-known guitars, the Gibson Les Paul. Gibson was at the forefront of innovation in acoustic guitars, especially in the big band era of the 1930s; the Gibson Super 400 was widely imitated. In 1952, Gibson introduced its first solid-body electric guitar, the Les Paul, which became its most popular guitar to date—designed by a team led by Ted McCarty. In addition to guitars, Gibson offers consumer electronics through the Gibson Pro Audio division, which includes KRK. On May 1, 2018, the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, and announced a restructuring plan to return to profitability by closing down unprofitable consumer electronics divisions such as Gibson Innovations. The company exited Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November 2018.In January 2020, the company launched Gibson TV, an online television network focused on guitars and music culture.
