Plaza Mariachi Music City located at 3955 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, TN 37211 is a tourist and entertainment center that includes an art gallery, a Mariachi Hall of Fame, live music and entertainment as well as shopping. The Plaza Mariachi officially opened on May 12, 2017, after 3 years of development at a cost of $15,000,000. US Bank invested $2.3 Million in the development of the Plaza Mariachi while also making a $30,000 contribution to the Hispanic Family Foundation, a non-profit organization located at the Plaza Mariachi.

The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere is a zoological garden and historic plantation farmhouse located 6 miles (9.7 km) southeast of Downtown Nashville. As of 2014, the zoo was middle Tennessee's top paid attraction and contained 6,230 individual animals, encompassing 339 species. The zoo's site is approximately 188 acres (76 ha) in size and is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The zoo has around 1.2 million visitors a year.

Glencliff High School is an American public high school in Nashville, Tennessee. It was built in 1957 and added onto in 1977.

Airdrie, a.k.a. Petway House or the Buell-King House, is a historic house and former plantation in Nashville, Tennessee. Built as a log house from 1797 to 1808, it was a Southern plantation with African slaves in the Antebellum era. After the American Civil War, it belonged to Union veterans.

The Tennessee Agricultural Museum is an agricultural museum based at the Ellington Agricultural Center in Brentwood, Tennessee. It organizes the Annual Rural Life Festival.

Travellers Rest, also known as Golgotha, is a former plantation and historic plantation house, located in Nashville, Tennessee. The first owner of the site was John Overton in 1796, who built the first family home in 1799. For many years this plantation was worked and maintained by enslaved Black people.It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since December 30, 1969, for its 18th century agricultural, political, and military history significance.

Nashville School of Law (formerly known as the Nashville YMCA Night Law School), is a private law school founded in 1911. The school's students attend classes at night on a part-time basis.

Mill Creek is a 27.9-mile-long (44.9 km) tributary of the Cumberland River that extends through Williamson and Davidson counties in the U.S. state of Tennessee. Via the Cumberland and Ohio rivers, it is part of the Mississippi River watershed. The creek begins near Nolensville, Tennessee, and continues into Metropolitan Nashville, winding through the Antioch, Cane Ridge, South Nashville, and Donelson neighborhoods, before flowing into the Cumberland about 2 miles (3 km) upstream from downtown Nashville. It is prone to flooding, and was the first site of major flooding during the 2010 Tennessee floods. At least five people were killed as a result of the creek's raging flash flood, and millions of dollars of property damage was reported along Mill Creek. Mill Creek is the only known habitat in the world for the endangered Nashville Crayfish.

John Overton High School (commonly Overton, John Overton, Johnny O or JOHS) is a public high school located in Oak Hill, Tennessee. It is named after prominent Judge John Overton (1766–1833), advisor to President Andrew Jackson. The school opened in September 1958 and was renovated and expanded in 1995. The school most recently underwent a US$30,000,000.00 renovation, approved for FY 2015–2016, which strategically expanded school classrooms and other spaces. The school has won 14 state championships.

Franklin Road Academy (FRA) is a private co-educational Christian school for students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 located in Oak Hill, Tennessee. The school was founded in 1971 and originally affiliated with the First Christian Church before it became a separate incorporated organization in 1982. FRA has been described as a segregation academy, like other schools established after a court ordered Nashville public schools to expand desegregation busing.As of 2019, its head of school is Sean Casey and its head of upper school is Jay Salato. In 2016, FRA's enrollment was 795 students with ethnic and racial minority students comprising 18 percent of the student body. As of 2021, the school's enrollment had increased to 925 students. Its enrollment increased to 1,040 students in 2022. FRA is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Southern Association of Independent Schools and AdvancED.

Father Ryan High School is a private Catholic coeducational high school in Nashville, Tennessee. Founded in 1925 as Nashville Catholic High School for Boys, Father Ryan is located in the Diocese of Nashville. It was the first racially integrated high school in Tennessee.

Genesco Inc. is an American publicly owned specialty retailer of branded footwear and accessories and is a wholesaler of branded and licensed footwear based in Nashville, Tennessee. Founded as the Jarman Shoe Company in 1924 as a footwear manufacturer, the company changed its name to the General Shoe Company in 1931 and became a public company in 1939. The company took its current name, Genesco, in 1959. Genesco exited footwear manufacturing in 2002 and now contracts with independent, third parties located outside the United States to manufacture its branded and licensed footwear. In June 2011, Genesco acquired U.K. retail chain and web business Schuh, which gave them an already well-established grounding in a market outside of the U.S.
