The Teatro Carcano is a theatre in Milan, Italy, located at 63 Corso di Porta Romana. Although now exclusively devoted to plays and dance, it served as an opera house for much of the 19th century and saw the premieres of several important operas. Completed in 1803, the theatre was commissioned by the Milanese aristocrat and theatre-lover Giuseppe Carcano and originally designed by Luigi Canonica. Over the succeeding two centuries it has undergone several restructurings and renovations and for a time in the mid-20th century functioned as a cinema.

Chiesa di Santa Maria al Paradiso is a church in Milan, Italy. It was begun in 1590 for the Third Order of Saint Francis, after designs by Martino Bassi. The facade, however, was only added in 1897 in a Neo-Baroque style by the architect Ernesto Pirovano (1866-1934). The interior of the church maintains some of its original decoration, including medallions and stucco depicting scenes from the life of Mary, including The Assumption in the central nave by Ferdinando Porta which obscured the original decoration by Andrea Pellegrini. In the first chapel on the right, there is a Miracle of Angels with St. Isidore and Bonaventure. In the fourth chapel, the St. Anne is attributed to Francesco Fabbrica. On the left side, a chapel is a painting of San Carlo Borromeo meeting with those sick with the Plague by Andrea Porta. The functioning organ was constructed in 1827 by Antonio Brunelli.

Palazzo Calchi (or palazzo Calchi Taeggi) is a historic neoclassical architecture palace in Milan, located in corso di Porta Vigentina, formerly home to the Calchi-Taeggi college.

The Basilica di San Calimero is a church in Milan, northern Italy. Its name refers to Saint Calimerius (died 190 AD), an early bishop of the city. It dates from the 5th century but was almost completely rebuilt in 1882 by the architect Angelo Colla in an attempt to restore it to the "original" medieval structure. What remains of the ancient church include: the 16th century crypt, with a noble frescoed vault by the Fiammenghini; a small fresco with the Madonna and Two Female Saints (15th century, attributed to Cristoforo Moretti) in the apse; a Crucifixion by Il Cerano, and a noteworthy Nativity by Marco d'Oggiono. Other medieval frescoes are in the annexed sacristy. The crypt also houses Calimerius' relics and a pit located in the same place in which the former's bones were found in the water.

Porta Vigentina was one of the city gates in the Spanish walls of Milan, Italy; the gate has since been demolished, but the phrase "Porta Vigentina" is still used to refer to the district ("quartiere") where the gate used to be. The area is part of the Zone 5 administrative division of Milan. The gate controlled access to Milan, via the "Strada Vigentina" road, connecting the city to Pavia. The road was named after the town of Vigentino (now part of Milan), located some 20 miles from Pavia.

The University of Milan (Italian: Università degli Studi di Milano; Latin: Universitas Studiorum Mediolanensis), known colloquially as UniMi or Statale, is a public research university in Milan, Italy. The Policlinico of Milan (Italian: Policlinico di Milano) also known as Ospedale Maggiore di Milano or Ca' Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico, is one of the oldest hospitals in Italy, founded by Duke Francesco Sforza in 1456. Today it is a modern hospital with 900 beds, with wards for adults, pregnant women and children. During the first COVID-19 breakout in March 2020, 300 of those beds were readapted for COVID-19 patients.There are three emergency rooms for different categories of patients. The maternity ward (Mangiagalli Clinic) has the highest number of births in Lombardy.The Foundation is a scientific Institute for Research, Hospitalization and Health Care (IRCCS), which means that, alongside clinical activity, it promotes research programs with predominantly translational purposes. The programs are concerned with the rapid transfer of therapies from the laboratory to patients.

Tempio Valdese is a Protestant church in Milan, Italy. It was built in 1950. The Waldensian Church in Milan incorporates the façade of the now demolished church of San Giovanni in Conca, which was located in Piazza Missori.

Sant'Antonio abate is a Roman Catholic church in Milan, Italy. The church is located on a street running parallel to Via Festa del Perdono. An older church linked to a hospital had operated at the site under the administration of the Augustinian order. The interior of the church was begun in 1582 in Mannerist style. The current appearance of the church is the work of Francesco Maria Richini, who completed the commission in 1630 for the Theatine order. The Neoclassical façade was designed in 1832 by the architect Giuseppe Tazzini.The church contains frescoes by Genovese and his brother Giovanni Battista Carlone; a fresco cycle on the Life of the Virgin by Giulio Cesare Procaccini (1574-1625), a “Nativity” and “Adoration of the Magi” by Pier Francesco Mazzucchelli, and frescoes by Guglielmo Caccia, depicting scenes from the Old Testament.
