Crocetta is a Milan Metro station on Line 3. The station was opened on 16 December 1990 as part of the extension of the line from Duomo to Porta Romana.The station is located in Largo della Crocetta, in the city centre just outside the core area, near the Teatro Carcano and the Ca' Granda. The station is at the confluence of Corso di Porta Romana, Corso di Porta Vigentina and Via Alfonso Lamarmora. Like its northern nearest stations, it is underground in two overlapped tunnels. In initial projects the station was to be called Lamarmora, taking the name from the street which originates from the point where the station is located.

The Teatro Carcano is a theatre in Milan, Italy, located at 63 Corso di Porta Romana. Although now exclusively devoted to plays and dance, it served as an opera house for much of the 19th century and saw the premieres of several important operas. Completed in 1803, the theatre was commissioned by the Milanese aristocrat and theatre-lover Giuseppe Carcano and originally designed by Luigi Canonica. Over the succeeding two centuries it has undergone several restructurings and renovations and for a time in the mid-20th century functioned as a cinema.

The Basilica di San Calimero is a church in Milan, northern Italy. Its name refers to Saint Calimerius (died 190 AD), an early bishop of the city. It dates from the 5th century but was almost completely rebuilt in 1882 by the architect Angelo Colla in an attempt to restore it to the "original" medieval structure. What remains of the ancient church include: the 16th century crypt, with a noble frescoed vault by the Fiammenghini; a small fresco with the Madonna and Two Female Saints (15th century, attributed to Cristoforo Moretti) in the apse; a Crucifixion by Il Cerano, and a noteworthy Nativity by Marco d'Oggiono. Other medieval frescoes are in the annexed sacristy. The crypt also houses Calimerius' relics and a pit located in the same place in which the former's bones were found in the water.

Porta Vigentina was one of the city gates in the Spanish walls of Milan, Italy; the gate has since been demolished, but the phrase "Porta Vigentina" is still used to refer to the district ("quartiere") where the gate used to be. The area is part of the Zone 5 administrative division of Milan. The gate controlled access to Milan, via the "Strada Vigentina" road, connecting the city to Pavia. The road was named after the town of Vigentino (now part of Milan), located some 20 miles from Pavia.

The maternity ward (Mangiagalli Clinic) has the highest number of births in Lombardy.The Foundation is a scientific Institute for Research, Hospitalization and Health Care (IRCCS), which means that, alongside clinical activity, it promotes research programs with predominantly translational purposes. The programs are concerned with the rapid transfer of therapies from the laboratory to patients.

Sant'Antonio abate is a Roman Catholic church in Milan, Italy. The church is located on a street running parallel to Via Festa del Perdono. An older church linked to a hospital had operated at the site under the administration of the Augustinian order. The interior of the church was begun in 1582 in Mannerist style. The current appearance of the church is the work of Francesco Maria Richini, who completed the commission in 1630 for the Theatine order. The Neoclassical façade was designed in 1832 by the architect Giuseppe Tazzini.The church contains frescoes by Genovese and his brother Giovanni Battista Carlone; a fresco cycle on the Life of the Virgin by Giulio Cesare Procaccini (1574-1625), a “Nativity” and “Adoration of the Magi” by Pier Francesco Mazzucchelli, and frescoes by Guglielmo Caccia, depicting scenes from the Old Testament.
