Upper Freehold Township is a township in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 7,273, an increase of 371 (+5.4%) from the 2010 census count of 6,902, which in turn reflected an increase of 2,620 (+61.2%) from the 4,282 counted in the 2000 census.

New Jersey United Christian Academy is a private Christian middle and high school serving students in sixth through twelfth grades, located in the Cream Ridge section of Upper Freehold Township, in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. New Jersey United Christian Academy (NJUCA) is ranked by Niche as the #3 Best Private High School in Monmouth County. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 66 students and 10.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 6.1:1. Cream Ridge Winery is a winery in the Cream Ridge section of Upper Freehold Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey. The vineyard was first planted in 1987, and opened to the public in 1988. Cream Ridge has 14 acres of grapes under cultivation, and produces 5,000 cases of wine per year. The winery is named for the community where it is located.

Hornerstown is an unincorporated community located within Upper Freehold Township in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Hornerstown is located near Cream Ridge and uses the 08514 ZIP code. Centered about the intersection of Hornerstown-Arneystown Road and Main Street (both separate branches of Monmouth County Route 27), the area is mostly made up of houses with horse farms west of the community. Small businesses line nearby highways CR 537 and CR 539. The town formerly had a stop on the Pemberton and Hightstown Railroad. The former railroad right-of-way has been developed into the Union Transportation Trail.

Salter's Mill is a historic gristmill built c. 1897 and located at 33 Imlaystown Road in the Imlaystown section of Upper Freehold Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey. The mill is next to a 28-acre (11 ha) mill pond, which was also used in the ice business. In 1985, it was also listed as a contributing property of the Imlaystown Historic District.

Walnford is an unincorporated community located along Crosswicks Creek within Upper Freehold Township in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Walnford was named for Richard Waln, the original owner of the town site.Historic Walnford is an open-air museum operated by the Monmouth County Park System. It is part of Crosswicks Creek Park.

Nelsonville (formerly Newell and Imlaystown Station) is an unincorporated community located within Upper Freehold Township in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The settlement is located on County Route 526 between Allentown and Imlaystown where it intersects the former Pemberton and Hightstown Railroad. The site was the location of the Newell post office established in 1883 (removed in 1923). The area was originally known as Imlaystown Station as it was the closest spot to the eponymous town along the railroad. In 1887, the area was renamed to Nelsonville for the local postmaster, Charles Nelson. Other industries in the area at the time included a wagon shop and a cider mill. Today, several agricultural and light industries surround the settlement in addition to some single-family homes. The right-of-way of the former railroad is being reconstructed as the Union Transportation Trail.

Emleys Hill (also Emley's Hill) is an unincorporated community located within Upper Freehold Township in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The settlement is located at the intersection of Emleys Hill Road and Burlington Path Road.Emley's Hill United Methodist Church, founded in 1790, is located there. Except for the church and adjacent cemetery, the area consists of farmland over rolling hills.

Coxs Corner, also known as Cox's Corner or Wrightsville, is an unincorporated community located within Upper Freehold Township, in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Named for congressman and brigadier general James Cox (1753–1810), who had lived here at the family home of "Box Grove", it is at the juncture of County Route 524 and County Route 43. The Upper Freehold Historic Farmland Byway passes through the area.

Arneytown is an unincorporated community located along Province Line Road on the border of North Hanover Township in Burlington County and Upper Freehold Township in Monmouth County of New Jersey. It is two miles (3.2 km) north of Jacobstown. Province Line Road was on the boundary line between the Provinces of East Jersey and West Jersey. The area was once called Upper Freehold by 18th-century Quaker settlers. With the establishment of the first post office in 1827, it became known as Arneytown.

The 225-acre (91 ha) Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, spearheaded by its namesake U.S. Army Brigadier General William C. Doyle, was dedicated on May 30, 1986 by Governor Thomas Kean. It is located in the Arneytown section of North Hanover Township in Burlington County, New Jersey. Burials are open to military families living within a 75-mile (121 km) radius of the cemetery. The United States Army Corps of Engineers oversaw the planning and outlay of the cemetery, including its non-denominational chapel. A $5,529,378 expansion grant from the National Cemetery Association, through its Veterans Cemetery Grants Program, was awarded in 2020.The creation of the cemetery arose from a 1965 need when at that time the only two federal veterans' cemeteries in the state were full. The cemetery opened as New Jersey's first state-operated veterans' cemetery, serving as "a lasting memorial to those men and women who put their lives on the line to defend our country's honor and freedom." Among the free benefits accorded to veterans and their families is a chapel for their use, and eternal maintenance. The facility was funded jointly by the state and federal governments and is managed by the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.
