Salter's Mill is a historic gristmill built c. 1897 and located at 33 Imlaystown Road in the Imlaystown section of Upper Freehold Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 29, 1980, for its significance in agriculture, architecture, and exploration/settlement. The mill is next to a 28-acre (11 ha) mill pond, which was also used in the ice business. In 1985, it was also listed as a contributing property of the Imlaystown Historic District.

Emleys Hill (also Emley's Hill) is an unincorporated community located within Upper Freehold Township in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The settlement is located at the intersection of Emleys Hill Road and Burlington Path Road.Emley's Hill United Methodist Church, founded in 1790, is located there. Except for the church and adjacent cemetery, the area consists of farmland over rolling hills.

Coxs Corner, also known as Cox's Corner or Wrightsville, is an unincorporated community located within Upper Freehold Township, in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Named for congressman and brigadier general James Cox (1753–1810), who had lived here at the family home of "Box Grove", it is at the juncture of County Route 524 and County Route 43. The Upper Freehold Historic Farmland Byway passes through the area.

Upper Freehold Baptist Meeting, also known as Ye Olde Yellow Meeting House, is a historic church located on Yellow Meetinghouse and Red Valley roads in the Red Valley section of Upper Freehold Township near Imlaystown in Monmouth County, New Jersey. It is the oldest Baptist meetinghouse in the state. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 21, 1975 for its significance in religion and exploration/settlement.

Nelsonville (formerly Newell and Imlaystown Station) is an unincorporated community located within Upper Freehold Township in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The settlement is located on County Route 526 between Allentown and Imlaystown where it intersects the former Pemberton and Hightstown Railroad. The site was the location of the Newell post office established in 1883 (removed in 1923). The area was originally known as Imlaystown Station as it was the closest spot to the eponymous town along the railroad. In 1887, the area was renamed to Nelsonville for the local postmaster, Charles Nelson. Other industries in the area at the time included a wagon shop and a cider mill. Today, several agricultural and light industries surround the settlement in addition to some single-family homes. The right-of-way of the former railroad is being reconstructed as the Union Transportation Trail.

Red Valley is an unincorporated community located within Upper Freehold Township in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The settlement is located at the intersection of County Route 526 and Red Valley Road (south) and Yellow Meetinghouse Road (north) near the township's eastern border with Millstone Township. Except for some single-family houses located along the roads in the area, the area is primarily made up of farmland (both agricultural and horse farms). The Yellow Meeting House Cemetery is located in Red Valley, with several early settlers interred there.

Prospertown is an unincorporated community located within the New Jersey townships of Jackson and Plumsted in Ocean County and Upper Freehold in Monmouth County. The community is home to Prospertown Lake and is adjacent to Six Flags Great Adventure, both located on County Route 537 (Monmouth Road). The center of the community is located at the intersection of CR 537, Hawkin Road (CR 640 on the Ocean County side of CR 537), and Emleys Hill Road (on the Monmouth County side). Most of the area consists of pine forests (as the area is located in the northern reaches of the Pine Barrens) but there are some homes along the roads in the area.Prospertown was once a settlement, consisting of a hotel, several homes, and a gristmill.

Cream Ridge Winery is a winery in the Cream Ridge section of Upper Freehold Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey. The vineyard was first planted in 1987, and opened to the public in 1988. Cream Ridge has 14 acres of grapes under cultivation, and produces 5,000 cases of wine per year. The winery is named for the community where it is located.
