Budapest Déli station

Déli pályaudvar (Southern railway station) is the western terminus of the M2 (East-West) line of the Budapest Metro. It serves the Déli railway station and its vicinity. The station was open on 22 December 1972 as the terminus of the extension of the line from Deák Ferenc tér.

The Church of Mary Magdalene of Buda (Hungarian: Mária Magdolna-templom) is one of the oldest churches of the Várkerület District (Buda Castle District). Dedicated to Jesus' follower, Mary Magdalene, it was built between the 13th and 15th centuries in Gothic style. Today only ruins and the tower of the church remains. For centuries, the Church of Mary Magdalene was the forum of the population of Buda District. Then, the church became the site of the coronation of Francis II, Holy Roman Emperor as Hungarian king, and finally as the central church of the garrison of the Buda Castle.

The Hospital in the Rock Nuclear Bunker Museum (Hungarian: Sziklakórház Atombunker Múzeum) is the name given to a hospital created in the caverns under Buda Castle in Budapest in the 1930s, in preparation for the Second World War.

The Our Lady of the Snows Parish Church formerly called as the Blood Chapel, also called Krisztina Church (Hungarian: krisztinavárosi Havas Boldogasszony-plébániatemplom), is a Catholic Church located in the Krisztina Square, Krisztinaváros, Várkerület District (Buda Castle District), Budapest. It is a protected monument.

The National Archives of Hungary (in Hungarian: Magyar Nemzeti Levéltár) were created in 1756. They were first located in Pressburg. In 1784, they were transferred to Buda. The National Archives of Hungary is the nation's record keeper. Krisztinaváros (English: Krisztina town) (German: Christinenstadt) is a neighborhood in central Budapest, situated just west of Castle Hill, north of Tabán. It is named after Archduchess Maria Christina, daughter of Maria Theresa, who interceded for buildings to be erected in this area. The history of Krisztinaváros is inseparable from that of the neighboring old Tabán, Naphegy and Gellérthegy.The central features are Krisztina tér and the entrance to the Castle Hill tunnel. It is also home to the Tabán Cinema, a small cinema that presents art films and documentaries. (Despite its name, this cinema belongs to Krisztinaváros, not Tabán.)

Castle Hill (Hungarian: Várhegy) is a hill in Budapest's 1st district. Geographically, it is connected to the Buda Hills and Rose Hill (Rózsadomb). The Castle Quarter (Várnegyed) is located on the top of the hill with many monuments around the Buda Castle. The area is one of the most popular attractions in the capital, and can be accessed by bus or in the carriages of a funicular (Budavári sikló).

Széll Kálmán tér (Széll Kálmán Square) is a station on the M2 (East-West) line of the Budapest Metro. It is located under Széll Kálmán Square in Buda. At 38.4m below ground level, it is the deepest station of the Budapest Metro. Near the station, numerous bus and tram routes pass or converge, making it one of the city's major transport interchanges. The station was open on 22 December 1972 as part of the extension of the line from Deák Ferenc tér to Déli pályaudvar.From its opening in 1972 until 2011, the station (and square) was known as Moszkva tér. The exterior of the building is strikingly similar to that of Saint Petersburg's Pionerskaya Station. Renovations of the above located square began in 2015.

Széll Kálmán tér (Széll Kálmán Square, formerly known as Moszkva tér or Moscow Square between 1951 and 2011) is a square in Budapest. It is one of the city's busiest transport interchanges (comparable to Móricz Zsigmond körtér farther south), which is served by a station on Metro line 2, tram lines 4, 6, 17, 56, 56A, 59, 59A, 59B, 61 and bus lines 5, 16, 16A, 21, 21A, 22, 22A, 39, 91, 102, 116, 128, 129, 139, 140, 140A, 142, 149, 155, 156, 222. Several buses head for the popular hiking destinations of the Buda hills so this square (with the classic, old clock above it) is a common meeting place for those going on excursions. It can be considered the centre of Buda, because of its traffic and the several stores around it, including Mammut, a shopping mall. Buda Castle is easily accessible from here, either on foot or by bus lines 16, 16A or 116.
